As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was my addiction… my every desire… mine.

This series is one of my favorites. Totally blows fifty shades out of the water. Gideon and Eva have an incredible relationship with ups and downs, happy and sad times but you can still feel the love they have for each other. Eva has tried to move on but Gideon draws her back. They are, to me, a perfect couple. They make you believe in love. I absolutely love this book and the whole series.
Reflected in You is the second installment in author Sylvia Day’s popular adult contemporary/erotic romance series: Crossfire. OMG, this was such a drama-filled book. I had so many eye-rolls, it wasn’t even funny…and yet I couldn’t stop reading! Crazy right? The heroine: Eva is stuck in a lather-rinse-repeat cycle with how she navigates her relationship with the male lead Gideon, and Gideon is no better! His lack of communication is the constant trigger for Eva’s insecurities. I wanted to shake them!!! Even so, I remained completely engaged in this story and had a hard time putting it down. Although a bit predictable, the ending really made all the earlier eye-rolling worth it.
The overall plot altered a bit in this installment which created a mystery/suspense feel to some parts. Characters referenced in book one are integrated in this one, and readers get some more insight into their families as well as their pasts in general. Ms. Day has created an erotic story that’s not just sex…yes, there is a lot of sex in it, but it’s not the only element and I really like that about this series. If you have read the first book Bared to You, then consider continuing on to this one. Reflected in You picks up right where Bared to You left off (literally- even referencing events in book one as if they happened yesterday) so make sure to read this series in order.
Eva and Gideon’s intense love affair continues to develop in book 2 Reflected In You. Things begin to heat up for our captivating couple. Revelations come to light and Eva’s past comes back to haunt her.
Eva is slapped in the face, when a blast from Gideon’s past shows up out of the blue in the form of an ex-fiance`. Her self-esteem is at an all time low when she meets the beautiful Corinne. To top it all off Gideon starts acting different and starts to push her away. Broken hearted Eva doesn’t know how much more she can take. Her heart is breaking into a million pieces. Gideon is keeping secrets and the company he keeps lately behind her back has their fragile relationship cracking in all directions.
There is an underlying danger in the air and Gideon does a confusing 180 when Eva needs him the most. Can their fragile relationship survive the lies and secrets?
I am so enthralled with this series. Eva and Gideon are the most intense couple I have ever read about. Their story is like a train wreck and I can’t help but hang on till it crashes. There are so many twists that have yet to be revealed and I can’t wait to see what happens. This story will reach deep into your soul and rip it out. It is an addiction.
Who is Gideon Cross really? What is he up to? Stay tuned…….

Warning! This review might contain spoilers.
If you read my review on Bared to You , you know that I was not impressed with the way the first book in this series played out. Unfortunately, Reflected in You is not much better.
I start off by saying that I love Gideon. He can be a bit frustrating, but it is really admirable the lengths he is willing to go to protect Eva. Not to mention he is one smooth talker.
Too bad I cannot say the same about Eva. She frustrated me more than she did in the first book and that is really saying something. She is so selfish and immature and I really wanted to smack some sense into her.
She really fucked up and then she has the nerve to act surprised when he questions her. Then she proceeds to give him a blowjob, thinking that miraculously that will solve the problem. Oh Eva, can you be any more naive?!
Characters don’t use sex to show how much they love the other person, but rather they use it with a secondary motive. They think that by having sex with them, somehow that will make the person want to stay with them. It made them come across so insecure it made me nauseous.
Despite being packed with seriously annoying characters that make me want to pull my hair out, Reflected in You has some interesting twists and turns which makes the read a bit interesting as it keep you on your toes, wondering how it will play out. So it was not a complete disaster.
I hope Entwined with You will be an improvement.
Loved this whole series
The author did a great job of connecting you with the characters and building your connection to them. Loved the romance and drama!
First of all I need to be honest I wasn’t too into the idea of reading this series, I hated 50 shades of grey but a friend Swore by it and a few days of intensely hot read, here I am.
I tried to read one book at a time but it was impossible for me to put them down long enough to write a review so, this is my opinion based on the whole series.
Holly cow they are good, Gideon is a broken man, he holds all the pieces of himself tight together but can’t glue himself back up. But when he meets Eva some part of him awakens and little by little he starts to be whole again.
Eva is a great character, she has so many facets, she’s strong, tender, intelligent but hides within herself all the fears her past created.
Together they are explosive apart they are nothing.
The side characters are perfect too each one has a contribution to the story in some way, whether it’s portraying the struggle of one of the characters or giving them a moment of peace. Every single one of them is so interesting I would love to have spin offs so we could explore them more.
This series is amazing, beautifully written with round characters, amazing world building and just so happens to have lots and I mean lots of sex in it. I doesn’t get boring it has a great pace, the conflicts are interesting because they have everything to do with the nature of Gideon and Eva’s relationship and all the secrets they keep.
I loved it. Have you guys read it?
great series
I’m writing a review for the entire Crossfire series, which is one I think about even years after reading it.
I stumbled across this series by accident when I was browsing a Half Price Books store several years ago. There was a woman in the same section as me who was on the floor searching through a pile of books she’d pulled from the shelf in front of her. When I bypassed her, she stopped to apologize and asked if I needed in the area she was blocking. I told her no, because I was just browsing, and then she asked if I wanted a recommendation. I said, sure, why not, and she handed me a book from the top of the pile she was digging through. It was the first in the Crossfire series. She said she was frantically hunting the most recently published book in the series but hadn’t been able to find it in any of the discount bookstores because no one was selling it back. She had a limited budget for books and only allowed herself to buy from those kinds of stores but was about to give up her rule and buy it from Barnes & Noble down the street.
I figured that was a pretty good rec, so I bought it, as well as the next few books in the series (that were available at the Half Price Books I was at). Needless to say, I wound up purchasing the most recently released book on my Kindle a few days later because, like the woman I’d run across, I needed more.
Sadly, this is one of those stories I attempted to come back to recently and it doesn’t hold up as well as I remember it, which is the only reason I’m knocking a star off my overall rating. I loved it at the time, but it doesn’t necessarily hold up well over time and doesn’t lend itself to be re-read.
But if you’ve never read this series, I highly recommend it.
I love this series one of my all time favorites!!
So here we are with book 2 with Gideon and Eva. Their love for each other is growing immensely and knows no limit for it. They will do anything for each other, even commit a crime and save each other from the consequences for it. I have loved it so much that I have lost track of how many times I have reread them. This book is as good to listen as it is to listen. As their story grows with each book in the series, we get to see Sylvia Day writing grow more intense too. I loved loved the intensity, the drama, and the action in this book. I would definitely recommend and most definitely worth more than 5*********
Always like this author and her characters
Love the Cross Series

Excellent. Sex filled, steamy relationship.

I enjoyed this book very much. I have read the whole series. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Day but I will not be my last!!! Keep up the good work.
