There were certain truths everyone knew. Never wear red or any other bright color. Make as little sound as possible if one had to be outside the protection of the sanctuary settlements. And never, ever, go out in the wild places alone. The Ragoru, an alien species set down to live among them, dwell within the forests and everyone knows that they crave all things red.Arie’s life has always been … been one of playing by the rules. She doesn’t draw attention to herself. She doesn’t leave her home without her hood that conceals her bright red hair. It is a secret from everyone, and her hood protects her secret so that she may continue to live safely within the village until one day that secret comes to light. Absconding into the woods soon becomes her only safety, and she will risk her very life into the care of the very dreaded beings that all people fear, the Ragoru, in hope of making it to her grandmother’s house in the citadel at the other side of the great forest.
When circumstances reveal them to not be the monsters of human imagination, but that they stir the ravenous beast within her, Arie finds that she is willing to risk far more to find a way to be with them forever. Even if that means severing ties with her grandmother, rejecting the human comforts of the citadel, and facing the horror of the Order of the Huntsmen.
A new spin on the Little Red Riding Hood Story, bringing a well known fairy tell to a dystopian future with a wolfish alien species.

First book by S.J. Sanders and I loved it. It was a reverse harem with her 3 mates. It had suspense, an alien love story with Aria being human and her mates Ragoru. There were several trigger warnings with the abuse so beware if that’s not your thing. I loved watching Aria and her mates grow together. It was a great read that kept me turning the pages.
While this was poorly edited (steer clear if you’re pedantic about it), it was a very unique world created. I liked the twist on the fairy tale (Little Red Riding Hood) and the evolution of the history of the world was very believable. I had NO problem believing the progression of events.
I don’t feel like the author created a believable enough explanation for them being reproductively compatible, but again, if you’re picky about the details, this isn’t really a book for you.
I was engaged and invested in the relationship built, liked all the characters, and man, did the author abuse them. Without going into specific details, one character was at death’s door twice, another once and another was kidnapped twice. And every time, you were heartbroken and biting your nails wondering if they were going to be okay, if they were going to be together again.
On a final note, I feel like the ending was too big. It didn’t really build up to it. There were no hints early on to lead us in that direction but we ended up with this world-changing finish that pretty much came out of nowhere. I would have been just as happy with them skipping that portion of the book entirely and living happily ever after.
Red and her Alien Wolves
What an awesome twist to this dystopian fairytale retelling!!! I loved it from start to finish! Action pack, bloody gory, and beautiful romance that will leave you swooning for days! must read if you love some alien romance read this with my kindle unlimited.
*WARNING* contains explicit sexual content and violence
I was a little leery about thus one just because the fairytale thing has been done so many times. This many have been inspired by a fairytale, but it is not like it at all. YAY! With that said, this dystopian world his pretty brutal. The humans seem worse than the aliens! I enjoyed this story. Great characters. Lots of action. NO “love at first site”. Ends in a HEA.
Excellent storytelling!
An unusual twist on the Little Red Riding Hood story, with great world building.
I loved the main characters! The males are unique and very appealing. Arie, rejected for her hair color, finds protection in the hands of a Ragoru triad. She is courageous, taking every step she can to achieve her goals. I enjoyed also meeting the people who help her reach those goals. I’d love to see more stories set in this world.
It is interesting to note the changes that occur from original intent for this world, when a greedy, powerful leader imposes his will. It’s a book not to be missed!
Excellent
Really enjoyed these stories. Sanders is one of my favorite authors and Frost is an excellent narrator. Probably the best for these kind of stories. Interesting and fun worldbuilding, smoking hot scenes and such lovely characters. A whole lot to enjoy!
Okay so this book had good and bad which is why I give it a 3 and a half stars. Let’s start with the good.
Multi genre. I love when authors make things multi genre. It is so much more dynamic than a single genre. Combining scifi, romance of any kind but especially reverse harem, aliens, and bit of fairytale is nothing short of amazing. Which leads me to problem one. Writing such a dynamic book, to do it right, you know its going to be long. To combine that much information, and mix that much stuff, takes space. I am talking background for the aliens, the human worlds demise, the blending of the two on earth, the background of the very important religion that is the founding of their new world. The religion both the aliens and humans have but existed before the aliens landed. But there is none of that. The world was in chaos a seer brought peace, the aliens came, crap went down again. And the ending was far to quick. Everything epic should happen and instead its a nice little bow wrap up. Very anticlimactic and while they stress the importance of Arie’s bloodline in the end its like it does not even matter. All of a sudden its like everything the world has believed no longer matters. Its just over with.
problem two it was not labeled as reverse harem. I am okay reading them as long as I know going it it will be. It mentions her being with the aliens in general in the blurb but nothing about mates/triad/reverse harem. However the stuff between them was very wonderful. it was sweet and great to get all of their POV’s (that’s a like)
