The remnants of the United States of America have been divided. From five enormous, technologically-advanced cities, the Greaters rule over the Lessers.
In the Lesser village of Orchard, things are not as perfect as Abby Kelley thinks they are. When the apple harvest draws near and the Greater’s engineered fruits become too much for one village to handle alone, reinforcements from neighboring … neighboring villages are called upon.
Having to choose between her best friend, whom she has no romantic feelings for, and mysterious newcomer Crew, Abby finds herself in the middle of a harvest that she had no intention of becoming a part of. She becomes involved in a situation that threatens the strict rule of the Greaters, and just might give the Lessers hope for a better tomorrow. But, can she help the Lessers without losing Crew? And if she chooses Crew, will she lose her best friend?

Definitely had the elements of mystery and the characters that make you want to read more.
I received a copy of Reap to read in exchange for an honest review.
I finished this book in two sittings, and that was only because I had to wake up early and desperately needed a few hours of sleep. I absolutely loved this unique dystopian story. The characters are so compelling. I just loved Abby and Kyan. Friends since childhood, and you could really tell how close they are. Zander, the Councilman’s son, wishes to marry Abby. He has always bullied her, and I hated him more and more with every chapter. Crew arrives in the village to help out with the apple harvest. He sticks up for Abby when he first sees her and their relationships blossoms from there. Crew has a secret identity that gets revealed. The twist at the end is something that I wasn’t expecting, but in a good way. I love how the story progresses and keeps me guessing and wanting more. This book is definitely a must read. I loved every moment of it and can’t wait to read the second book!
I loved this book. Made me think of Hunger Games. But in a new, different way. The heroine is brilliantly written. Love her spunk and fire. Different guys who care for her but who will she choose. You’ll have to read it to find out.
Grab the series. Seriously. Weekend is here. Go…now.
a bit scary actually
Good combo of possible reality and teenage angst. My favorite.
I was thoroughly disappointed when this book ended. I can’t wait to read the rest of the serious!
It was an easy read with a cool storyline. Not necessarily the best book ever, but entertaining and quick to get through.
Fun fast paced story!
I really liked this book. I always like books that make you feel like you know the characters personally and are sharing the adventure with them. This is one of those books. I finished “Reap” and have already bought the other two books in the trilogy. Have begun the second book “Resist” and thus far have not been disappointed.
Got into bad stuff
Abigail Blue has taken a beating after she defended a child who stole an apple in the orchard. She was willing to take it all, the pain, the suffering, the consequences, as long as the child was spared. But what she didn’t anticipate was the additional punishment she received afterwards. To work as a servant at the most hated person in the Orchard, at Zander Preston’s residence.
Then, her bestfriend Kyan decided to reveal his true feelings for her, when he was already engaged to someone else. And then she met Crew. The one who made her heart go pitter-patter. But she had to restrain herself, control her emotions, decide what was best for her, especially when her sworn enemy Zander decided to marry her.
Can you keep up with the number of guys who got captivated by Abby’s stubborn streak and unmatched beauty?
It’s time like this when I want to bonk my head for not reading this book as soon as I downloaded it. I was so blind and freaking silly, because it took me months before meeting Abigail Blue and Kyan and Lulu. I loved Abby’s strong personality. Raised by her aunt and never knew her real parents, I liked how she grew up to be a mature, sensible and brave person.
And then there’s Paige Winters and Zander Preston who deserved to be paired to each other despite their obsession to the main characters. And how could I forget about Crew? I think he’s the sunshine in that bleak and dark Orchard. The one I thought that brought out the best in Abby.
This was my first Casey L. Bond novel, and I instantly became a follower. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the story, the uncharacteristically charismatic characters and the amazing world of the Lesser and Greater people of Olympus City. Although this dystopian masterpiece ended in a cliffhanger, I didn’t feel cheated at all. The whole story left a mark in my heart and I can’t wait to read more, more, more!
I haven’t read anything quite like this and I wasn’t expecting there to be some romance mixed in. I loves how everything comes together and you get romance, mystery and some suspense all in one. I have come to realize with Casey’s books, she takes twists that blow you away. Never able to guess the way her stories are going to go. Abby was a pretty neat character. I really liked her. I am still not sure which guy I like better. Crew or Kyan… I will have to read more of this series before I make that call I think. After an ending like that I’m gonna hope I can get to it real soon. I have to know! I can’t wait to read more and see who Abby winds up with. Overall a really good story with twists that it was hard to put down.
