The power of my Hexer’s stays with me…
It’s what I hold onto when evil descends and chilling darkness comes.
Hate rules our world.
Hiding behind the face of a King.
And now he’s come for me.
He wants answers I don’t have.
Answers that lie in the whispers of the past.
Only three Hexers stand in his way…and they’ll do it for love.
Atlas Rose writes some of the best series! I love the way that her characters grow from having fear and hatred into something more when they realize that the monsters they have always been afraid of aren’t really as bad as they were originally perceived. Book two of the Descended from a Witch series was such fun to read. I’m continuously wondering about Ever and her powers; she’s powerful enough to be feared and desired, yet still able to be subdued by another supernatural being. The flashbacks and visions that are incorporated into the story really add a nice touch and reinforce the mystery regarding the truth about the Black Viper, the three daughters, and the powers they wield. I’m also curious about this new voice that she has been hearing. I have a feeling on who it could be but it could be anyone at this point! Let’s add that to the neverending list of things I hope to find out in the next book! That cliffhanger was crazy, so I’m anxiously waiting on book three.
The saga continues… and another cliffhanger!!!
I enjoyed this even more than the first book. I liked that we were shown three points of view, not just our heroine’s view. I really enjoyed seeing a bit more into what makes Keane the Hexer that he is. I’m hoping that this means we’ll get to see inside Ristt’s head in the next book. Hurry, hurry Atlas! I’m not sure I can wait much longer to find out what happens!!!
