“None of this matters, and we’re all going to die.”With only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people. People like Rainbow Williams.Rain isn’t afraid of dying. In fact, she’s looking forward to it. If she can just outrun her pain until April 23, … outrun her pain until April 23, she’ll never have to feel it at all.
“Supplies. Shelter. Self-defense.”
Wes Parker has survived every horrible thing this life has thrown at him with nothing more than his resourcefulness and disarming good looks. Why should the end of the world be any different? All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he finds when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs.
As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fate—one who will do anything to survive and one who can’t wait to die.
Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live.
Before their time runs out.

An epic, unique, fascinating story, Praying For Rain is absolutely consuming. B.B. Easton had me enthralled from the first few pages. It is the first book in the Praying For Rain trilogy and it left me anxious to see what B.B. Easton has in store for us next. This book is not my usual go-to romance novel, but it is phenomenal!
This book has it all. It is suspenseful, humorous, witty, sad, scary, you name it, this book has it.
Rain and Wes have to face the fact the world is coming to an end. Their world is literally falling apart before the actual date the world is supposed to end. A lot of people can’t handle that kind of knowledge, but Rain and Wes are determined to see it through.
Their relationship isn’t conventional. Wes is trying to stay alive and sees an opportunity in Rain. She is his next meal ticket, and that was all she was supposed to be. He was determined to stay focused on his goal, to stay alive. Rain has other ideas, she just wants company until the day the world ends. She has accepted the fact that the world is already coming to an end and she will die. She had nothing to live for, until Wes.
Working together to stay alive only brings Wes and Rain closer together. They don’t just depend on each other, together, they are going to make it out alive. Both have already experienced great loss and this means they connect on a different level. They fall in love fast and become each other’s reason to live even faster.
This book had me at the edge of my seat! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I just wanted to get to the end. I wanted to see it through. I was rooting for Wes and Rain from the very beginning and kept second-guessing what would happen. I almost expected the twists and turns but my goodness, B.B. Easton had me gasping for air. An absolute must read!
Side Note: Covers are always a big deal for me, I feel like there are times when a cover makes it or breaks it for me. This cover is absolutely perfect for Praying For Rain! It is everything I imagined Rain and Wes to be.
I will be on pins and needles until book two!
I mean, holy sheet!!! BB Easton has the power to create any story she wants in any genre she considers. Praying for Rain is not my usual cup of tea but Miss Easton is a genius, a seriously talented wordsmith. While this isn’t what I normally read… an end of the world story… it still had love and romance at the heart of it. That is always a genre I can get behind and BB Easton shares love in beautiful and meaningful ways.
Easton is eloquent and stylish from beginning to end. I found myself a bit shocked with the imagery and the vividness of her words. Easton is beyond poetic and her unique story was one of those that you really have to read and experience to understand. I could really write till I run out of positive adjectives because I don’t have one bad thing to say about Praying for Rain.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Seized within the first pages of this epic tale, Easton has weaved together more than a romance, she has penned a story so big, that it will stay with you long after you have finished reading.
I knew I was doomed when I started to read this book. Just like its characters, I felt myself being pulled in and captured, unable to be released until I saw the story to its end. Once there I was thrilled to find out that there is more in store for two deeply complex characters, Wes and Rain, who demonstrate a resilience and strength that is admirable, and with whom I fell in love more and more as the story continued.
Deeply emotional and highly imaginative, this world and what is going on within the pages of this book, will keep you guessing and praying for a way out for everyone involved. It will have you speculating on what may really be going on in the world that surrounds them in the very best of ways.
If the world was going to end, I would want to go out re-reading Praying for Rain…
As Always, Happy Reading!
“5/5 Beaming Brains!” – Lit-Up My Mind
This was a great book about surviving and overcoming the past. Each character has their own struggles and then add on the whole end of the world aspect and I was hooked. Fast paced and enlightening, fans of this author are going to fall in love hard with Wes and Rain. I can’t wait to see what will come for this author. She has a beautiful writing style and was able to really keep me hooked. After that ending I am going to go a little crazy waiting for more. 4 stars #2OCCJD
I love ANYTHING B.B. writes. She has a storytelling style that is almost hypnotic to me. Praying for Rain was no exception. It pulled me in and didn’t let go. I felt like I was in the story, riding on the back of Wes’ motorcycle with them witnessing all the crazy shit that happened. This story had everything–adventure, suspense, heartbreak, angst, comedy, and romance. It is truly amazing to me that someone can write a story like this and give me…for lack of a better term…all the feels. But, B.B. did. Not to mention, this was absolutely original. Just like the author. I can’t express how much I love this author. Do me a favor, nah, do YOURSELF a favor and read this book. I swear you will be an Easton fan for life.

Wow! Praying for Rain is absolutely amazing!
I was initially drawn to the book’s cover, although after I read the description, I was all in! Usually, I’m not drawn into dystopian stories, but this one really got to me. It also happens to be the first book that I have read from author B.B. Easton, and it definitely won’t be my last!!
Praying for Rain is the first book in a trilogy which tells the story of Rainbow Williams and Wes Parker. It occurs in a pre-apocalyptic world where it is believed that the world will end on April 23rd. Everyone has nightmares about the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and no one has an idea how to change it. Therefore society has turned to anarchy, violence, and no one is safe.
The book begins on April 20th, and Rain is so hungry that she leaves the safety of her house to go to Burger Palace. It happens to be one of the few places to get food, but she’s attacked by the people at the restaurant then kidnapped by Wes. The story continues with so many twists, and I was absolutely spellbound by how vivid it all was to me. Praying for Rain was so gripping that I genuinely was unable to put this book down!
I can easily say that this was one of my favorite books for 2019!

I love dystopian novels and I love BB Easton writing, so it was the perfect combination, I read it on a flight and I think I need to apologize to my sister for not talking to her on the time it took for me to read this book, but it was so damn good. So sorry but not sorry lol. Rain and Wes are a couple I would love to see more of in the future. The storyline captivates you, keeps you wanting to find out more. So yes a definately 5 star.
When is started this book I went in blind. I was just excited that BB Easton was releasing a new book. I wasn’t sure what to expect but OMG this book blew me away. Once I started this book I was completely hooked. I did have to put the book down a few times as the emotions caught up with me.
I have to admit I am glad I went into this book blind as I don’t normally read post-apocalyptic books so probably wouldn’t have chosen this one but I am so glad I had just jumped on it because it was from BB.
The world is ending in 3 days and during the darkest time Rain and Wes find each other. The bring a flicker of hope, maybe a reason to live. The chemistry between them is palpable, the gamut of emotions they go through in the last few days is raw and you literally get all the feels from this. I feel like I have been on a huge roller-coaster reading this book but it was totally worth every emotion.
The twists and turns she delivers are simply brilliant and I was unable to put it down. Sleep is totally for the weak. I honestly can’t wait for the next instalment in this new series I am addicted too.
Be ready to go on a ride full of suspense, steamy, angst and some really good action on trying to survive before the world ends in 3 days with Wes & Rain.
I enjoyed how Author B.B. Easton brings us into this world she created that can be pictured perfectly while reading and feeling like you are engrossed into the world with the characters as they go through their journey.
This book is told in dual point of views which I love & feel gives us readers
Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book in this new series.

I have been a big fan of BB Easton since 44 Chapters About 4 Men and was so excited to jump into Praying For Rain when I read the blurb. I love dystopian stories with a passion and could not read this story fast enough. Praying For Rain was sexy and fast paced and full of crazy surprises. I thought this story was intriguing and mysterious and was hooked right away!
With the end of the world days away, Rainbow “Rain” Williams has no idea that meeting Wes Parker would change her life (or the days remaining of it.) But with the end of the world fast approaching will they be able to avoid death and his four minions who are set to end the world?
I thought this story was very unique with the four horsemen theory. It was exciting to get little bits of Rain’s life as this story of an Armageddon type ending had me flipping the pages like a mad woman at times. I enjoyed Rain’s connection with Wes and how profound their love was. They had no reason to live until they found each other. I love how shocking the ending was and now I am even more intrigued about what happens next! 4 stars! ~Ratula
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
WIth only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Favorite book of the year right here. I loved this book so much and I devoured it way to fast. I was so sad for it to be over. I fell so in love with Wes and Rain. Rain has a family but her father is not such a nice person and she is hiding secrets. Heck she only has three days to live and she is not worried about dying at all. In fact she is ready for it to be over. Everyone has been having dreams for a while and the four horsemen of he apocalypse are the stars of those dreams. People are trying to accept that on a certain date they are going to die and the world has turned into a wasteland. Everyone is trying to stay drunk or high to accept what is coming and business have stopped running, there is no food and if you can find some the price is super high. Wes left this town but is not back as he knows where he is going to survive. He meets Rain when she is being attacked over a bottle of pills in the burger joint. He saves her and this is the beginning of their journey. It’s a journey that I loved and one that I need more of right this second. This book is everything. It is one that I will never forget and one that I will read again many times. I so can not wait for the next book. I survived the cliffhanger and now I just need the next book in my hands. Do not miss this book. I would give it a million stars if I could. B. B. Easton is magical with her words and I am beyond addicted.
I was so excited to read this book because I LOVED BB Easton’s 44 Chapters series and know for a fact this lady can write! I love her style, the angst and the amount of depth she infuses into her characters, and I love that she gives readers something different with her books, not just cookie-cutter romances.
So, a bit about the book… What would you do if you only had a couple days left to live?
“Today is April 23. And we’re all gonna die.”
People everywhere in the world have been dreaming about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse coming on April 23rd. No one has been able to explain why these dreams are occurring and have been making themselves crazy trying to find the answers, so they’ve all just accepted their coming fate.
Rain and Wes, two very broken souls, meet under these extremely dire circumstances with only a couple days left until doomsday. An unseen force keeps these two tethered to one another to not only survive, but to heal each other and fix their broken cracks. I loved the complexities of these characters, there was so much more than meets the eye with both of them that was kept hidden under layers of secrets and tragedy. I loved how fierce they were and how they inspired hope in one another, even when it seems like all hope is lost. Their relationship was a steamy and angsty slow-burn throughout the entire book, yet fast-paced in regards to this story taking place over only three days, that had me rooting for these two every step of the way.
The plot was original and creative. I was intrigued by its mystery and it had me hooked because I just had to know how the world was going to come to a crashing halt. But, where the plot took this story at the end and had me rating this book with 4 and not 5 stars… was the big reveal about the discovery of why everyone was having the same dream about the apocalypse. I won’t give any spoilers away, but it did irritate me a little with the unbelievability of it, although the idea does hold a bit of weight, but it was more of who figured it out when all of these scientists and top researchers in the world couldn’t that had me rolling my eyes.
But, it’s still a unique, well delivered, gripping, suspenseful and emotional read, told brilliantly by BB Easton that had me hooked. Just be prepared for the major cliffhanger that will leave you craving the next book in this series.
Well damn. BB just throughly shook up my world and set it on fire. This book satisfies my craving for something different and unique while appeasing the romantic in me.
Pretty much everything you can associate with the apocalypse this story had. Chaos, uncertainty and nail biting anticipation. It’s clear that our Heroine, Rain is going through the motions until Judgement day or April 23rd to be more precise. Everything is crumbling around her and she’s been abandoned or ignored by everyone in her life. Then she meets Wes, who is like this unwilling knight that saves the day. But instead of shining armor, he has a Hawaiian print shirt. He’s broody and angry and he gives Rain the one thing she didn’t know she was searching for, hope. These two clung to each other and I loved that whatever was coming for them, they were going to face it together.
This is the start of one wild ride. It’s quirky, funny at times, and unexpectedly emotional. There are still so many unanswered questions burning in my brain but I’m totally ready for whatever Easton has in store for us.
I’m such a huge BB fan so I can literally read anything she writes. While I’m not into apocalyptic books I did enjoy this one. The characters were flawed, dark and well developed. I enjoyed the chaos, the scenic changes and the world building created. Rain and Wes are perfect for one another and I can’t wait to go to ur reading this series.
This book has caused me to invent my own terminology ”uniquely unique” and “phenomenalicious!”
This is book 1 in the Praying for Rain Trilogy and it’s off to a great start.
I don’t typically read PNR but the blurb, the cover, and my prior experience reading this author’s skillful storytelling had me intrigued…Dystopian Romance?
Ok I’m in, and I’m so glad I did!
Flawlessly written, exciting and unique plot, Wes and Rain’s story was a haunting and soulful journey full of surprises and twists and turns. The scenes unfolded so seamlessly and so vividly that all I need was my favorite snack and 3-D glasses! I could see this book becoming a movie!
I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2!
PRAYING FOR RAIN was the first book I read from BB Easton. I was in love with the teasers, with the cover and the synopsis. I don’t read a lot of dystopias, I can count on one hand how many I’ve read, so it has to draw a lot of attention to make me crave it. And this book had all the ingredients.
In the first few paragraphs, the book already makes you wonder what’s going on. It already starts like this: surprising. While reading, I fell more and more in love with the author’s writing. The story is good, a page turner. It has a suspense and a rhythm that resembles a movie. I created that world in my head and it was like watching everything. The story shows everything when it has to, until you reach the climax. It shows two people, one trying to survive the Apocalypse, another only counting the hours for the end to get here soon.
We follow Wes and Rain, with alternate POV’s, and they have pretty much all our attention through the book. It’s only a few days, but the author wrote in a way that made them connect quickly, which made their chemistry visible, and makes us fall in love and cheer for their survival.
For me, halfway through the book it was already almost a 5 star read. I was just waiting for the end to finally break into the joy of reading an incredible book. I was waiting for something that would make my jaw hit the floor, to make me scream “wow!” and unfortunately that’s not how I felt. The story is very good, I just expected a more impressive ending. But even so, I enjoyed the rhythm of the story, the characters are great and, of course, I want to read more of this author’s books because I loved her writing’s style very much. I recommend it to anyone who loves this genre.
4 Stars!
Rainbow Williams aka Rain is a 19 yr. old girl who lives in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Lately life is pretty grim for Rain. The town she lives in has become a wasteland filled with abandoned homes, streets, and businesses. Everyone believes they are three days away from the apocalypse, and have accepted the world is going to end on April 23rd. People are either mad, sad, scared, numb, or desperate. They are convinced the end is near, and what’s coming is bad. Rain has fully come to terms with her fate because nothing really matters when your going to die soon anyway. Then she crosses paths with a drop dead gorgeous guy that is scary but exhilarating. She gets a thrill every time he locks those intense eyes on her.
Wes Parker went through the foster care system as a kid and hasn’t had an easy life. He returns to his hometown in Georgia to ride out this predicted apocalypse. He thinks he’s unbreakable after surviving all the terrible things that have come his way, and he plans to still be standing after April 23rd. He now needs supplies, shelter, and something to defend himself. The beautiful girl he stumbles upon is just a bonus. Rain is useful and resourceful to him, and he decides to keep her around. Things continue to get more dangerous as everything around them is crumbling. While he wants to live, she’s given up, and they are each other’s distraction. Before long he’s made her feel again, and makes her feel free of the hopelessness and fear that have taken up space in her mind. Will they have a chance to explore this new connection they share or will their time run out?
Praying For Rain by BB Easton is an all new romantic story full of humor, and excitement. Wes is that cocky, sexy jerk you just can’t help but fall for. This was my first book by BB Easton, and I really enjoyed it! It was unique and different, and I look forward to the next book in the trilogy!
As the end of it all creeping closer, the world fell into chaos. Some gave up on hope, while some would do anything to survive. Rainbow (Rain) Williams and Wesson (Wes) Parker stood at the opposite end of the spectrums. But with only each other to rely on, they’d have to figure out how to live.
I love books with dystopian setting due to the fear and the hopelessness of the situation. I did get that in this book but personally I wanted a little more intensity. It wasn’t until after 70% that I started to feel for the characters but once it happened it was on point.
I liked seeing how both Wes and Rain coped with the situations they were thrown into. At first, I thought Rain was a bit annoying but she grew on me. I enjoyed the overall storyline and felt the concept of the apocalypse presented in this book was intriguing.
Praying for Rain is tale of hope and survival. I’m looking forward to see where the story will go in the next book.
4.5/5 STARS

Apocalyptical romance was NOT a side I knew about BB. Easton!
But this book was amazing!!!
I loved Rain and Wes, how they cared for each other, even in a matter of hours, with the “end” approaching.
Wes sounds like an ass.
Cold, calculating, but that’s the way life made him. He’s a survivor since he was a little boy. Fighting was all he did, and he’s determinate to keep on fighting, despite the nightmares.
Rain is sweet but unlike Wes, she made up her mind and gave up.
At least until she met him.
Now, it seems that all they do is looking for each other, even if this means putting their own plans/life in danger.
And as the “last day” approaches, we learn more about Rain’s story…. So sad…
And the love story….
I mean, writing a credible/consistent love story when there are three days left…. That was a challenge!
But the author did an amazing job.
You just can’t help to fall in love with them.
And Wes, this hardened man, hides a little boy who still needs to feel that he is loved…
And in the middle of this apocalyptical craziness and desperation, Rain and Wes are like a tiny hope we hold on to keep going…
The only “but””?
Dude, the wait!!!!
How Am I supposed to survive the… “Apocalypse or the wait” until next book????
I can’t wait!
