When a woman plunges to her death from the penthouse of a Palm Beach hotel, Detective Charlie Crawford rushes to the scene. Arriving at the hotel, one thing is clear: she definitely did not jump. A few days later, Crawford catches a break: seems there was a wild party at the hotel the night of the woman’s murder. Among the celebrants was a billionaire about to go on trial for trysts with underage … with underage girls on his Caribbean private island.
And one of his accusers? The woman who got thrown from the penthouse.
Sin, scandal, and murder from the author who, as Kirkus Reviews said, always delivers an “entertaining and amusing ride.”

It was great reading. I like the characters.
So much fun to read. Great characters in a great location.
I liked the main character. The book kept me guessing till the very end.
This is not a great book . . . just OK
Good repad.
Good detective team. Both from a big city and transferred to Palm Beach for a break from big city crime. Not gonna happen. Charlie Crawford & partner Ott make a good pair. Look forward to their next crime.
Just OK> Not very exciting
Another meticulously crafted murder mystery solved by the Ott & Crawford team. Some familiar faces in this book but you don’t have to read other books in the series as this a stand alone book.
These characters were actually believable! That is a rarity these days.
I enjoyed reading this book and found it entertaining
Easy read, characters are believable!
After reading this book, I am now committed to the series.
I really enjoyed the plot and the characters
So so…
First one in this series i have read. Will now get other thrillers in series to enjoy.
The author takes a twist from a big city crime story to a smaller community not used to murders. They are also not used to the lead detective (a yankee) tearing up their town to get to the bottom of the crime. In that way the book is original.
Great characters but the writing, compared to others in this series, lacks.
An enjoyable book, but definitely based on a character right out of last week’s news headlines.
