This was an amazing book, and one I waited for with such crazy desperate anticipation! And of course my wonderful author delivered, like she always does. Did I already mention that it was amazing? Yes it was! I loved this book with all my heart.
First of all Carter, the main character is an amazing hard core warrior and survivor, and although super harsh on the outside, she is incredibly loving and caring. And she is like a superhero. Always ready and always saving the day. And she is a pilot. So cool. Then there is Harris, her best friend and also a pilot and a warrior, who always has her back. Always. Totally fell in love with him. Then there is Metzger, a bit of a macho asshole but totally lovable if you give him time, and then there is Carson, a swoon worthy accidental addition to their crew, who is definitely just a civilian and not trained to deal with any emergencies. But he is supernice, lovable and beautiful to look at.
The story is incredibly engaging and fast paced. I devoured it. I love everything about this book, even the ending, which was a brutal cliffhanger. Maybe this is a good moment to warn the cliffhanger haters. The plot is well thought out and realistic, the characters are wonderfully developed, and their relationships are complex and real, and the world is so well built.
Yes, everything is great about this book and I loved it to pieces. And now I am at the point of saying, there better be a continuation, or please please please write more cause I’m going to die if I don’t get more, whichever works. I just really want more. Loved it so much!
This book is fantastic! Great take on the apocalypse, I really like that you know why and how it all starts. That ending killed me! You will not be disappointed!
All I can say is WOW!! Operation Ann pulled me in from the very beginning with Carter’s strong pesonality and the story kept getting better and better as her and the guys fight for their lives to get back to her daughter. The characters worked really well together even when at each others throats at times. I read this in one sitting just couldn’t stop until I knew what happened next! Loved K.A. Morse’s fresh take on zombies and definately recommend grabbing a copy of this action packed story that also will pull at the heartstrings!
This is a great suspense/thriller esque book!! Think World War Z! Carter is a widowed mother who heads the flight school on her base. She’s hit up to run a secret mission that starts off run of the mill and ends up anything but! Her and her partner and a couple bad A bodyguard types hop a helicopter to transport a big named doctor to a secure unnamed location. Unfortunately the helicopter is dropped from the sky before they make their official landing. Carter pushes to get her there regardless only to find it deserted…or is it?! The story turns and it’s a mad race for Carter to get back to her daughter to make sure she is still alive…on foot…through several states. Will she make it? The ending has got to be one of the most gut wrenching I have read lately!
