From the New York Times bestselling author:
John Scalzi’s Old Man’s War: now available in one volume!
Includes:
Old Man’s War
The Ghost Brigades
The Last Colony
Reeks of Haldeman’s “Forever War,” but a good read, nonetheless. Scalzi has come into his own as a military sci-fi writer.

A strange central idea, but it works… characters you’ll care about, set in a plausible future world.

Unfortunately by the end of the series Scalsi’s politics became so thick it read like propaganda. Otherwise I would have rated it much higher as the first book is exceptional

Scalzi may be the best living SF writer, and in this series he is at his peak.

One of the great Science Fiction series by a more modern writer. As one raised on Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein etc, this author was a delightful surprise.

Favorite SF series (although I hate to call it a series as each book could stand on it’s own)
