I have not read any of Kara Liane’s work prior to picking up Nursing Myself Back, but I can tell you it will not be my last. This is book three, and a finale, to the Tryst of Fate Series from Kara Liane. I had not been aware of that till I had already gotten half way through this one. Now that I know there is stories about side characters in this novel I have to go back and see what those are.
I can promise you, you will want to have the box of Kleenex ready for this one. I personally read this one snuggled up in bed with a big blanket and hot tea on a rainy day, and this was the epitome of a perfect read for me at the time!
Liz’s story was one that I could really relate to, and not because we just happen to share names. Liz has been through the wringer with her previous relationship to her now deceased husband. Her husband had been long gone before he died, but now that it is final, Liz is left to pick up the pieces of her heart and nurse it back to health. Liz is such a strong woman from the get go. She wasn’t really aware of it was all the problem was for her. Once she met Caleb she was able to figure out she was worthy enough of love eventually. I would be too if Caleb was the one to fix my broken pieces. Caleb couldn’t have been the more perfect man. His heart is sincere and big. He is the perfect man for someone like Liz. When the two get things figured out the shine they exude is penetrable of the kindle screen you are reading on. (If kindle is your thing…)
Normally I’d say this is where you read to find out if they get the happily ever after. Instead this time, I am going to tell you these two get their happily ever after. It is the journey that they take to get there that makes this book worth reading. You will be cheering for that happily ever after from the beginning.

Nursing Myself Back is the third and final book in the Tryst of Fate Series by Kara Liane. It is a contemporary romance about finding love unexpectedly, overcoming obstacles, and taking a chance on happiness. This is the third book in the series, but it could be read as a standalone. The series is set around a group of friends, but each book focuses on one particular couple. I do recommend reading the other books too, because they make for great reading and you get to meet some fantastic characters.
This story is a very quick and easy read- but have a box of tissues on hand because it is quite an emotional story that pulled on my heart strings. The story was well balanced with some lighter funny moments, witty quips and banter.
The characters were really great, I found myself rooting for them right from the beginning. The romance is steamy- and the characters have great chemistry. Their story is well worth the read!
A sexy and enjoyable read!
I am looking forward to what ever Ms. Liane brings us next!
Thank you, Ms. Liane!
A great read about taking your time. After the death of her husband, Liz struggles with her feelings. When her daughter Leah suggests she needs to live a little, Liz is hesitant at first and distracts herself with work. But when Daniel Caleb comes into her life, he brings adventure and romance in his life. Will Liz live a little and try this new love or will she push it away?
A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Liz dedication to work but loving nature underneath or Daniel with a loud personality but a sweet side underneath. a great supporting cast like Alexi as a caring boss and friend or Leah as a sweet daughter. the loveless marriage was emotive and excellently done with Liz’s worries over finding love again perfectly written.
I loved the simple settings throughout the novel like the office or Liz’s house which were full of small details to give it extra character like the owls. This worked brilliantly for the ordinary every day feel of the novel . The use of different perspectives worked well to contrast their personalities and display both sides of events and was easy to follow. The only issue I would raise is that there was a lot of narration that felt more like dramatic monologue to the audience than a characters thoughts but this could be resolved with more dialogue. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.
Nursing Myself Back, by Kara Liane, is the third novel in the A Tryst of Fate series. This contemporary romance easily captured my interest and maintained throughout the book. I found the author’s writing style full of depth, challenge and steady flow. Full of emotional charges that are well defined, dialogue between characters was thoughtfully placed and done in a way that came across as effortless. Some authors put too much into a story making it too much, but Kara Liane did an excellent job of throwing in just the right mix of detail, definition along with steamy intrigue that created a very well written romance.
Nursing Myself Back is the third and last instalment in Kara Liane’s Tryst of Fate series! I have read the previous book in the series and I read it as a standalone and I think you can do the same with this one. Of course when it comes to series then it is always smart to read the series in the right order to get the maximum pleasure out it but well, better something great than nothing!
Nursing Myself Back is a steamy contemporary romance that leaves you panties in a twist and thinking to yourself that heck yeah, it is not over when you hit your forties and there are some hot young guys who are not put off by some age difference! Nursing Myself Back is Liz’ journey to a second chance for love – she is moving on from a loveless and painful marriage to an alcoholic man that ended with his death and even though on the surface it might seem that she was really fast in moving on, at some point you do realize that she had started to move on way before the actual end … oh my, the struggle she had to accept the relationship with Caleb who is younger than her and who falls so deeply in love with the thought of Liz so it is actually both of them that have to grow to find the way towards each other …
It was a great end to a great series and it does not leave you cold!
Nursing myself back by Kara Liane is the third book in the series and follows the life of Liz after her husband has died.
Liz is still working through becoming a widower but the sadness is not really their as her marriage had become none resistant while her husband was alive, but now she wants to live life again and find someone she can share these feelings with.
Caleb is a lawyer but is also consider a player, he likes his ladies older, so when he sees Liz he instantly has an attraction to and wants to get to know her better. Unfortunately he has to take the relationship slowly by starting with friends and as the book goes on it then develops into a romance.
This book has lots of chemistry, mix it with some steamy scenes and you are well on your way to a great story. I really enjoyed the way these two characters interacted and the chemistry that bounced off the page was brilliant. I enjoyed the character of Caleb he was such and alpha male, which such patience in the end as he waited for Liz to catch up with him. I can’t wait to read more books by this author.
Nursing Myself Back- Kara Liane
4-star review
Nursing Myself Back by Kara Liane is a great emotional romance read! This is the third book in the Tryst of Fate series, but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone with all of the character and backstory detail. Caleb and Liz’s story is heart-wrenching, steamy, sweet and romantic all at the same time and is just as great as each book in this series. It was a story I enjoyed from start to finish and was able to read in one sitting.
I loved how easy it was to connect with Liz, she was such a relatable character and I loved how she put her children above all else. This wasn’t an action-packed storyline and was more of a slow build, but I really enjoyed it. It gave me time to connect with these characters, and I’m so happy with how it turned out for them. This is a series I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for their next romance read, and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!
Nursing Myself Back: (A Tryst of Fate novel Book 3)

I have been really looking forward to reading this book after loving book 2 in the series so much and it was everything I wanted it to be and more. Kara Liane has really taken this book to the next level and I was completely captivated by every word that I read. I will say, in my opinion, this book should be read after book 2 as I think you will get a better reading experience, especially as it picks up where book 2 finishes within the same friendship circle.
After I read the blurb I always thought I would struggle with Liz and Caleb – I didn’t understand how she could move on so easily but the more I read about them together the more I got it. Caleb loves Liz, I think that is clear for anyone to see; at times it was if I could almost feel the love pouring off the pages. The scenes between the two of them were just off the charts hot! I loved Liz and really felt like I understood her – the author did a great job with the character development of both Liz and Caleb.
Kara Liane’s writing in this book was amazing. The pace and flow of the story was excellent and I can’t wait to read more from her again in the future.
If you are looking for a steamy romance story that will give you all the feels then I absolutely recommend Nursing Myself Back by Kara Liane!
Nursing Myself Back is the third and final novel in the Tryst of Fate series by Kara Liane. This is my first novel by this author.
The story picks up after two. Married to an alcoholic man, and trapped in a toxic and loveless marriage, Liz feels relief when she finds out her husband is dead. But while she seems okay on the outside, inside she is a wreck and struggling to come to terms with a few of issues.
Caleb sees this as his chance to win the heart of the woman he has been pinning for for some time. But with the two be able to come together? Will Liz be able to heal and love Caleb?
While I have not read the other novels in the story, I felt like I was on an emotional journey with Liz. Yes, some of her decisions and choices were question but given the circumstance I can understand.
This was an emotional and lovely read and I can’t wait to go back to read the rest.
Nursing Myself Back by Kara Liane is book three of the A Tryst of Fate Series. This book is a contemporary romance that can be read as a standalone and is the last book of the series.
This book is the story of Liz and Caleb. Liz is dealing with the death of her husband but she doesn’t feel the grief she thinks she should feel and that makes her feel a little guilty. Another thing that makes her feel slightly guilty is the attraction and feelings she feels when she sees Caleb again.
Caleb has always had a thing for older women. However, Liz is more than an older women to Caleb. He can’t help how he feels about Liz and he’ll do whatever it takes to get closer to her, even if that means being a friend first.
Can Liz find away to move on? Can Caleb heal what’s been broken for a long time?
This book was such a good read. The characters were easy to connect to and fall in love with. Liz is such an independent person but all she wants is someone to share the load with. I absolutely recommend this book!
Nursing Myself Back: (A Tryst of Fate Series Novel – Book 3)
By: Kara Liane
5 out of 5 stars
The story Nursing Myself Back: (A Tryst of Fate Series Novel – Book 3) by Kara Liane is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had read the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Liz and Caleb. Liz is a woman who is recently widowed. She has a compassionate soul and is trying to learn how to move on with her life. Her marriage had been over long before her husband passed away. Now she is looking for love and the right man to trust. Her eye has been turned by Caleb. Caleb is a lawyer and considered a player. Now his outlook on life has changed and he is looking for the one that will be his forever. He has his eyes set on Liz. That these two feel an attraction/chemistry for each other is undeniable. They quickly find that they have a pull toward each other. Caleb knows he needs to go slow however the need he feels for her is strong. They start out as friends. Will Caleb be able to show Liz that he is the man she can trust with her heart? The scenes between Caleb and Liz are steamy. I enjoyed reading when they flirt/banter with each other. You get a heartwarming feeling when reading about them. Will they get an HEA? Read this book to find out. Most of the other characters that you read about are the circle of friends that Liz and Caleb share. I loved reading about how they all interact and care about each other. This is the third book in a series and can be read as a standalone. It is a story that I would highly recommend reading.
This is the third book in this series, it can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed this one just as much as the previous ones I have read in this series. I enjoy how I am pulled in right from the beginning along with the emotional roller coaster ride it took me on. This is a story about an older woman who meets a younger man who wakes feelings inside that she hasn’t felt in awhile. You will have to read this book to find out what happens to them, I highly suggest this book.
Sweetly satisfying romance that’s worth waiting for
Liz has just buried her alcoholic husband, but their marriage died years before. Caleb hopes she’s ready soon for another romance, because she’s everything he’s been waiting for. Liz’s self-esteem is still damaged, though, making it difficult for her to take Caleb’s interest seriously.
Theirs is a rocky but ultimately triumphant road to their HEA, proving that it’s never too late to start over and love truly does conquer all. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Nursing Myself Back : (A Tryst of Fate Series book3) by Kara Lianei is the third book in the A Tryst of Fate series. I’ve loved this whole series and recommend reading all the books.I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. I just love Liz and Caleb.Liz is a a recent widow, but her marriage had been over for a long time before her husband’s passing. Shes looking for the right man and hopefully love. Caleb is a lawyer and he has a thing for Liz(cougar) but he’s been called a player. Now that he’s older he’s looking for his one forever. He’s had his eyes on Liz .These two have chemistry but he feels he needs to go slow. Can he convince her to be more than friends? Do they get their HEA?.I highly recommend reading this book. i cant wait to see what author brings us next.
Nursing Myself Back was a good 4 star read and is the third and final book in the Tryst of Fate series.Once I started I was pulled right in.
Caleb is a very hot alpha male who is working as a divorce lawyer. From a younger age he has always been attracted to older women. Now as an adult he is all alone with no family.
In the beginning we see Liz feeling guilty about not feeling sad about the loss of her husband. Her marriage wasn’t a true marriage since her husband struggled with alcoholism and hadn’t been with her physically in years.
Liz and Caleb definitely have a connection between them, but he is her boss’s best friend. These two work hard at keeping their distance, but boy when they finally let in be prepared. We definitely get some very steamy scenes.
Can these two have more than a fling? Can they have a HEA?
I have to say I really liked this storyline and characters. They all added a great element to the story that is told in alternating POV’s. I wouldn’t mind seeing some stories come from some of these characters we meet in this book. I was also all over the place emotionally. Kara does a great job of pulling you in with her writing and I look forward to reading more from her. This is a great series and I highly recommend starting from the beginning.
A Trust of Fate Novel Book 3: Nursing Myself Back by Kara Liane. I don’t know where to begin with Nursing Myself Back, it can be read as a stand alone and well, Liezel (Liz), you just feel for her. This isn’t your normal cougar sappy romance, there’s sadness and heartache and regret but there is also hope and new beginnings. The push and pull between Liz and Caleb is entertaining, and the inner monologue they each have going makes it that much better. I liked the story a lot it was a nice break from my normal genres and I was able to sit and read it over a couple days so I got to slowly enjoy it.
Nursing Myself Back by Kara Liane

I wasn’t sure I wanted to read this book but I’m happy that I did. It is the final book in the Tryst of Fate series. Though it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. It is written from two points of view, Liz and Caleb’s. It’s good that it was written that way because you could really understand what each was feeling.
Liz’s husband dies and even though her marriage was horrible, she feels empty inside. She has to learn to heal and start living for herself. Caleb comes into her life and she starts to feel things again. She has her doubts. She’s older than him and she doesn’t know if she deserves him. Caleb has always been attracted to older women. Luz for him is perfect. She is his unicorn. Now he just has to convince her.
The slow build up was exciting and when they finally came together, wow, it was panty wetting. Problems arise and misunderstandings happen that rip them apart. You have to read the book to find out if they find their way back to each other.
Nursing Myself Back by Kara Liane is the third book in her Tryst of Fate Series and this one just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Liz and Caleb, we are taken on a whirl wind journey in contemporary romance that will grab you from very beginning and not let go until the last page. Liz is a woman that while recently widowed, still is a compassionate woman and is just trying to navigate this world where she is alone. Her marriage may have been just a piece of paper before her husband passed away but she was a woman that stuck to her vows and still mourned the man that she loved. Liz is learning to love not only herself again but to find a man that is willing to love all of her broken pieces. Her trust has been damaged, and she is weary of putting herself out there again, but for the right man Liz could be willing to take a leap of faith. When she meets Caleb, there is something about him that calls to her. He is a lawyer, and known around town as a player. But his reputation can’t keep Liz’s eye away from him whenever he is near. Caleb is looking to not only change his image but to find someone that could settle him down and give him the home that he desperately craves. The heat between these two is undeniable, but Caleb can tell that Liz is gun shy, so he will have to go slow so he doesn’t scare her away. Starting out as friends, will testing the waters on this relationship seems like the best answer for both of them. But Caleb’s feelings are hard to hide so he is going to have to find a way to convince Liz that he is worth the risk of handing over her heart. Can Liz trust that Caleb is in this for the long haul? Will Caleb be the man that will catch her if she falls? The flirty nature to their friendship made this a really great lead into a steamy romance between these two. Liane is a new to me author, but with this series I think I have found a new author to love. Her stories are so realistic that you can’t help but fall for her characters, and their faults only make them that much better to route for. If you are looking for a fantastic read about second chance love and two people finding love in unexpected places than this is the book, nay series, for you. Can’t wait to see what Liane brings to her readers next!!
Nursing Myself Back is the 3rd and final book in the A Tryst Of Fate Series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone but are all centred around the same group of friends. I had not read the first 2 books in the series and did not feel as though it hindered my understanding of this book. Although, now that I have read this book and loved the chemistry among this group of friends, I really want to back and read the first 2 books.
This is such a feel good story about love and also about learning to love again. 44 year old Liz has been in a loveless marriage to an alcoholic for years. Liz’s saviours are her 3 teenage children and her group of friends. Among that group of friends in 34 year old Caleb Daniels. Caleb has always been interested in older women and has secretly been in love with Liz for a long time. Unknown to Caleb, Liz has always had a bit of a thing for him too. When Liz’s husband dies, their friendship grows into something more.
Can Liz let herself love again after such a loveless and miserable marriage? Can Caleb convince Liz that he is serious about loving her and her 3 amazing children? As you know the path to true love never runs smooth and there are a few hiccups along the way.
I love that this book is written in dual point of view as it allows you to get inside the head of both Liz and Caleb and see their true feelings for each other. I also adored that the prologue gave us a little insight into 14(and a half) year old Caleb. Such a sweet dorky kid who grew into a gorgeous hunk of a man!
Nursing Myself Back: (A Tryst of Fate Series Novel – Book 3) by Kara Liane It is a second chance romance where love between an older woman and younger male makes for some steamy moments. It is written in different POV’s and it will have you laughing out loud reading the males POV, Kara did a truly brilliant job at portraying the male mind. I truly loved this story so much I wish that it was way longer, because I could not get enough of these characters. Kara did a great job of making the story believable and real. There was a slow dance in coming together which made me frustrated but when they did boy did it light up.
If you are looking for a story that takes you on a journey of love and second chances then this is story for you.
