The feel-good romantic comedy bestseller! Perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk, and Sophie Ranald.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “Warm, witty, and wildly romantic.” – Melanie Summers, bestselling author of The Crown Jewels seriesThree friends form the No More Bad Dates Pact: stop dating the wrong guys and start dating the right ones – weirdos and jerks need not apply.Twenty-five-year-old Sophie … ones – weirdos and jerks need not apply.
Twenty-five-year-old Sophie McCarthy’s career is virtually nonexistent, her family expects her to “do something important” with her life, and she’s totally sick of dating the wrong guys: the self-absorbed, the arrogant, the borderline criminally insane.
After she’s unceremoniously dumped during the vows at her boss’s wedding, she and her two equally disappointed-in-love best friends agree to help each other find decent guys to date. Together, they form the No More Bad Dates Pact: stop dating the wrong guys and start dating the right ones–weirdos and jerks need not apply.
When Sophie’s roommate Jason Christie–a.k.a. doctor-in-training and serial nurse-dater–joins the pact, he vows to weed out the bad ones for her. But with his rejection of every guy Sophie meets, she begins to wonder if he’s got an ulterior motive. And anyway, why does she always have so much more fun with Jason than with the guys she’s actually trying to date?
While desperately seeking her “happy for now,” could Sophie stumble into her “happily ever after?”
No More Bad Dates is a fun, heart-warming friends to lovers rom com for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Helen Fielding, Lindsey Kelk, and TV shows like Jane the Virgin. It’s a light-hearted, humorous, and fun full-length novel that can be read as a standalone title. The High Tea series is a spin-off of Kate O’Keeffe’s bestselling Cozy Cottage Café series.

Warm, witty, and wildly romantic. Kate O’Keeffe does it again with another unputdownable tale of friendship and love. I can’t wait for the rest of this absolutely fabulous series!
“Remember ladies (and Jason), this is war.”
This first book in the new Cozy Cottage spin-off series is super-cute and funny. I love the characters – Sophie and Jason make a great team – and the supporting cast features not only the usual Cozy Cottage Café suspects (most prominently Bailey and Paige), but also Sophie’s BFFs Erin and Darcy as well as Sophie’s whole Irish (non-mob!) family.
With all the teasing and light banter between Sophie and Jason, I can’t help but picture Ryan Reynolds as Jas.
Erin and Darcy are a hoot, and I’m soooo looking forward to reading their stories and them finding their own HFN or even HEA!
This book was an easy fun read. It revolves around several friends’ rather draconian vision of finding Mr. Right Our h is constantly belittled by her family, but is happy with her job. The H is of course, hiding in plain sight, but a number of humorous bad dates, and a happy ending will satisfy most readers.
Great easy read. I love books like this, they are interesting and such a fun read. I have been in Sophie shoes many times with career choices so I could definitely relate. I loved the all the characters, especially her close knit group of friends. Half way through I had a feeling about what was going to happen & I am glad it turned out the way it did. I am excited to read the next book in the series
I enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read more books by this author!
Good concept – interesting plot and characters!
Fun and enjoyable read!
Really enjoyed this book and the series (3 books total). The last book of the series was my favorite, but all were really good. Defintely recommend! Sweet, clean romances
Cute and fun.
I loved the pact. I detested the siblings (I was supposed to). I saw no purpose for closing the tea house. I questioned not realizing he loved her.
clean
Loved this! Kate O’Keeffe does it again with another delightful tale of love and friendship.
Jason needed a roommate and along came Sophie. They have become best friends. Jason has a string of women he brings home constantly. Sophie keeps trying to find her guy for right now but keeps coming up with losers. They create a pact with her friends to vet the guys before their first date. What could go wrong with that?

A good, clean, funny romance. A journey with Sophie as she tries to find a worthy man to date after her date at her boss’ wedding dumps her and hooks up with someone else. She comes across some interesting men which are definitely not worthy as her friends and her roommate Jason help vet her dates. She finds the perfect guy but realizes she’s in love with someone else who is unavailable. What will she do?
Inspired by her bosses’ one last date pact and determined to have no more bad dates herself, Sophie and her two friends form a no more bad date pact that requires all potential dates to adhere to a strict set of rules and a vetting process where the friends have the final say. Sophie’s roommate, Jason, becomes part of the screening process and his male perspective Provides her with insight into the faults in her prospects…the biggest fault being they are not him. Jason is her best friend, her defender, and someone who is always there for her, As Sophie seeks to fulfill the pact, she comes to realize the only one she wants to date is Jason, but can they risk their incredible friendship. I was thrilled to see additional stories in the Cozy Cafe series.

It looks interesting
Following on from the events in the “Cozy Cottage Cafe” series Kate O’Keeffe introduces us to a new idea and new characters. We met Sophie who worked at the Cozy Cottage in the ‘last dates’ series and I am so glad she became the focus of this new series. I had wanted her to have her happily ever after at the end of this series but was so pleased to see she was starting a new series that included new characters.
Kate O’Keeffe continues to tell a wonderful story of bad dates and the hope of love and finding Mr Right. Sophie is dumped at her boss’s wedding and the events that follow remind us that the path to real love is not always what we expect it to be. It also reminds us that friends are there for us no matter what and are there to build us up and speak the truth.
I am sure that this is the first book in what is going to be another wonderful series.

Sophie’s dating history reads more like a bad movie than a fairy tale so she and her two best friends have agreed that the next date they go on will be with a good guy but finding that good guy is harder than you would think.
Jason is Sophie’s roommate and best friend. He offers his expert advise to help her choose someone however everyone they find doesn’t pass his stringent test. That is only part of the problem as now Sophie is seeing him as more than a friend but he couldn’t possibly feel the same way could he?
This is a fun story about Sophie and her friends trying to maneuver the modern dating world
The perfect fun-filled escape from reality. Kate O’Keeffe at her delightful best!
I love this book! If you want a novel you won’t be able to put down and will leave you with a smile on your face after you finish it, this is a great choice! So sweet and romantic!
