The feel-good romantic comedy bestseller! Perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk, and Sophie Ranald.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “Warm, witty, and wildly romantic.” – Melanie Summers, bestselling author of The Crown Jewels seriesThree friends form the No More Bad Dates Pact: stop dating the wrong guys and start dating the right ones – weirdos and jerks need not apply.Twenty-five-year-old Sophie … ones – weirdos and jerks need not apply.
Twenty-five-year-old Sophie McCarthy’s career is virtually nonexistent, her family expects her to “do something important” with her life, and she’s totally sick of dating the wrong guys: the self-absorbed, the arrogant, the borderline criminally insane.
After she’s unceremoniously dumped during the vows at her boss’s wedding, she and her two equally disappointed-in-love best friends agree to help each other find decent guys to date. Together, they form the No More Bad Dates Pact: stop dating the wrong guys and start dating the right ones–weirdos and jerks need not apply.
When Sophie’s roommate Jason Christie–a.k.a. doctor-in-training and serial nurse-dater–joins the pact, he vows to weed out the bad ones for her. But with his rejection of every guy Sophie meets, she begins to wonder if he’s got an ulterior motive. And anyway, why does she always have so much more fun with Jason than with the guys she’s actually trying to date?
While desperately seeking her “happy for now,” could Sophie stumble into her “happily ever after?”
No More Bad Dates is a fun, heart-warming friends to lovers rom com for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Helen Fielding, Lindsey Kelk, and TV shows like Jane the Virgin. It’s a light-hearted, humorous, and fun full-length novel that can be read as a standalone title. The High Tea series is a spin-off of Kate O’Keeffe’s bestselling Cozy Cottage Café series.

Clean and Sweet Romantic Comedy
This is a very fun book that will leave a smile on your face and your heart. It is a romantic comedy at its best. There is desire and sexual tension and it is very clean. This is a sequel series to Last First Date series AKA the Cozy Cottage Series. The story is so well written! The story just flows and the hours just fly by. This author certainly knows how to write romantic comedy! I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
O’Keeffe writes characters you not only see yourself in but you want to call your friends. No More Bad Dates is the perfect spin-off from the Cozy Cottage Cafe series. Her witty humor and slow-burn romance creates the perfect romantic comedy!
I am a big fan of this author’s “Last First Dates” series, so I was very excited to see the characters return in this series. In this one, we get Sophie (the barista at the Cozy Cottage Café). Sophie and her friends are tired of horrible boyfriends, so they create a system where the group has to vet potential dates before an actual date occurs (it sounds a little complicated, but it really isn’t). As with previous books, there are several likable (and some not so much) secondary characters (Sophie’s family is a good mixture of both). And her potential “dates” are hysterical; the second one had me laughing out loud! Oh, and any book that has a “Friends” reference in it is a winner for me . The HEA is apparent, but the ride to get there is fun. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and look forward to the rest of the series. This book was written based on a complimentary, pre-release digital ARC of the book.
This is a fun story with cameos from the Cozy Cottage series. It was great to see them again! This is another dating pact with bad date magnet Sophie looking for a good guy to date. With her friends to help this is really a fun read with a happy ending.
This is a fun comedy romance with engaging characters. Light reading perfect before bed or whenever you need a smile. “No more bad dates” is a pact Sophie and her friends have made to avoid dating an undesirable male. The antics and family interaction are just really well done. I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining book.
Sophie has a bad history with boyfriends and the last one broke up with her in a friend’s wedding and hook up with another girl minutes later so she decided that she had enough selfish men in her life and together with her friends created the No More Bad Dates Pact: they, along with her roomate Jason, will give their aproval to all her dates before she is allowed to go on with improving the relationships.
But every time she thinks she found the right guy something bad happens and she starts to get discouraged and wonder if she will ever find love, when she finds out that it had already happened: she was already in love with her friend Jason, and now she has to try to hide her feelings because she thinks he will never correspond them. A very sweet romance and I look forward to reading Darcy love story next.

The best word to describe this book is enjoyable. I certainly enjoyed reading it, am glad I read it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a light romance read. However, there is not much more to say about the book. The premise is one I am unfamiliar with (the idea that friends decide that they will vet all of each other’s potential dates) but seemed so far-fetched that I couldn’t quite buy into it. It seemed like an idea that was created for the purpose of writing a book and not because it would actually happen. But, props for a creative new idea. However, once you get past the premise, nothing feels particularly *new* about this book, and it’s quite predictable (friends-to-lovers romance). If you can get this book from the library, certainly give it a spin, but it’s not a book I would reread and therefore merit purchasing.
7/8/21 – A nice light read perfect to grab and just chill. A fun and easy to follow story about a group of girls that swear off men, but of course one of them finds love. It’s great watching the character develop throughout the story as well as watching the love blossom.
It was just ok. Too much uninteresting stuff in the middle. Reading to the end wasn’t worth the in between.
I wouldn’t want to be on the dating scene again! This was funny and realistic… you can’t tell what’s on the inside by what’s on the outside.
Cute story, well told.
So slow moving. It was really hard to finish. It has a happy ending, I just didn’t care what would happen to her.
A nice read. Male characters needed more development.
I tried but could not get into his book It was very predictable.
I enjoy books with good fast paced plot with interesting characters. The book has good background and reality but plot … Not so much. Too long and too much of some noisy relatives. Not a page turner.

This book!! Omg. It is absolutely adorable and so funny. I laughed through this whole book!! Jason and McCarthy are so great. Fantastic banter, zero steam and a touch of romance. I can’t wait to read more.

Light on Romance, Heavy on Family and Friends
I have read the books in the previous series, the one that this is a spin-off of. I really enjoyed that set of books. I didn’t find this book to be nearly as entertaining. I think it’s because I felt it was light on the actual romance. It is billed as a romantic comedy, after all, so you would expect some good romantic aspects. Not nearly as much interaction happened between the hero and the heroine as I would have thought or hoped. It seemed to be more about the heroine and her family and friends than the romantic relationship. There is definitely some humor here, for sure, and that is enjoyable. But I didn’t feel there was a good balance between the romance and the comedy; the romance took too long to develop. It is well written otherwise. The author does have a knack for writing about groups of female friends in a way that makes them feel like they could be real women you could meet.
