Jake Anders looks like he should be on the cover of an Australian firefighters calendar;instead he owns a winery that makes a fabulous rosé.The first time I met him, he was a jerk. And then he became my client. And he started acting distinctly non-jerky.So I set out to prove it was all a ruse.My ploy didn’t work. And now, we’ve slept together. If this is nothing but a one-night stand, I am so screwed.

Monday is an auditor for a Beverage Distributor Company. She is somewhat of a wine connoisseur. Aside from her boring day job, Monday writes an entertaining blog about Jerks. Dating them, the pitfalls of always finding them and how to avoid them. One night while in a restaurant waiting for her latest potential date (hope this one is not a jerk), Monday witnesses a jerk and his significant other break up. The jerk, wanders over to the bar and chats her up. He notices that she is drinking wine and they have a wine conversation until he invites her to come see his wine cellar. She throws that delicious rose in his face and leaves. Her date is nowhere to be found. More fodder for the blog.
At work the next day, her first appointment is two hours early and Monday has not had her morning jolt of coffee. Oh MY, it is that handsome jerk from the night before and she narrowly misses spilling coffee on him. He owns a winery in Australia and needs her to check out the financials so that her company can represent his American distribution. Could they get off to a worse start? Now they have to work together.
Jake Anders in intrigued by Monday. He needs her to sign off on his company finances. He likes her. Meanwhile Monday uses him as the main jerk in her blog. He proves her wrong in many ways. He is a kind and thoughtful and hard working jerk. Monday is trying hard to keep this relationship professional.
She finds discrepancies in the financial information of Anders Vinery. Could someone be sabotaging the financials?
This was a fun and funny book. Great situations. I loved the Australian references. These two authors know how to keep you entertained and book-centered. Lots of good dialog and steamy scenes.
