A Crimson Shadow & Scarlet Night spinoff novel… It’s hard to hide when the forbidden magic you wield is written on your skin… “Skin witch” Mikkie Locke has spent her life running; running from her past, running from hate, and running from shame. And when you’re a taroe working in an “in plain sight” magic shop, that’s easier said than done. Every day she’s away from the protection of … done. Every day she’s away from the protection of her tribe is a day she’s risking death. The enchanted tattoos that cover her body are a constant reminder of who and what she is and serve as a beacon that scream “KILL ME!”
And the threat has just become more severe.
A new group of anti-mythos radicals have come to town, and she knows that the time has come once again to run. But Mikkie is tired of running, and between her anger, her assets, and the small team of four strong, sexy men who have her back, she’s beginning to think she might have a chance.
But in an ever-changing world, this threat has made changes of their own. The stage is set for a war, and there’s more on the line than their lives…

loved the storyline and the description of each character had me intrigued. The author knows how to tell a story. I love the variety of the harem boys.
I would recommend this

I liked this book but I was confused throughout because I was unaware that it is the continuation from another series; it has a lot of characters from the previous series. While it is well written it is very verbose and could probably get the same effect with less words.
Raith has lost his Love to war and when is he’s finally been able to notify his wife’s mother … 4 months later … procrastinate much … he’s been asked to also notify her Twin sister Mikkie.
Mikkie has just been informed that her twin Nikki died 4 months ago! Now she feels she needs to help Nikki’s grief stricken husband Raith with his grief and while still living through hers. What do you do when grief turns to something more? Oh and you already have your hands full with three men you adore? How will Mike, Trent, and Nic feel about the addition of another in this relationship?. New Moon explores polyamorous relationships, hate and discrimination and depression so there could be TRIGGERS in this book.

Okay I like it but it was very confusing at the beginning I was under the expression that this was a standalone novel it was more of a continuation from another series it has alot of characters from the previous series. It had alot of wordy parts that I could have done without. That beginning said it was still a good enough read for me to read the other books.
Raith has lost the love of his life to a war hes finally been able to notify his wife’s mother now he’s been asked to notify her sister Mikkie. This will be his last journey hes done.
Mickie lost her twin Nikki now she will have to help her grief stricken husband Raith threw his grief and still process her own. But what happens when you fall for your sister’s husband she already has three other guys Mike, Trent, and Nic and a crazy group of fanatics after her and those she loves. This is and enemy Raith knows well he won’t lose another women even if he has to sacrifice himself to make sure Mickie survives. Good read with action and passion.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.

Rated 3.5 When i grabbed this story i didn’t know that there was previous books that i should’ve read before to be able to enjoy fully this story. This story is pretty good, well written and i had a good laugh with the side characters, just wished that i’ve read their stories first so i could have had all the background story. Overhall, it was a good read for me with action, humour, romance and great characters.

The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that’s so rich and lively it feels you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
I hadnt read any of the Behind the Vail books (that will change soon though) so i dont know anything about Raith’s background or his friends. Only what ive read in this book which is the story of a broken man hit hard with the loss of his wife. When circumstances bring him to the door of his wifes sister and he gets sucked into all the complications that brings. I loved Mikkie and her guys – Mark, Nic and Trent. Sweet and funny but comedy gold goes to Zane & Serene. I genuinely couldnt breath because i was laughing so much at them. So funny!! A cracking read and i really enjoyed it so much
Before I begin my review for New Moon by Megan J. Parker and Nathan Squires, I would personally like to thank the author, the publishers and Booksprout for the opportunity to read this ARC and I have reviewed it honestly.
After her sisters death, Mikkie finds herself irrevocably connected to Nikki’s lover, Raith, as a mythological hate group targets her and her boys. New Moon explores the immense love and support of a polyamorous relationship, the depth of hate and discrimination against supernatural beings and race and the plague of depression as it devours a person’s soul.
New Moon features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
Adult fantasy
Paranormal romance
Reverse harem
Smut
Black FMC
Depression
My overall rating for New Moon is…
4 Stars!
Parker and Squires have created such a deep and personal persona with their main characters; one a polyamorous black woman subject to racism and discrimination throughout her life, and the other a severely, numbly depressed male. This book was filled with depth and symbolism and an intricate level of inner monologue. An absolutely stunning piece of work.
P.S “I’m feeling fucking short next to wolf-boys dick!” is my absolute favourite cock description ever!
