A great story of a couple embarking on restoring a house that seems like an impossible task in France.
If you love living in France or even visiting, a good book to read before buying a house. Also amusinh
I really enjoyed the writing style. The characters are well developed, the plot is thought provoking. Readily identifiable life situation.
I just returned from France and Beaune, so the setting was of great interest. Also enjoyed learning some French vocabulary. But the story was weak. Wouldn’t really recommend it.
This was a Memoir of a young girl, both making current decisions as well as looking back on past choices and experiences as she comes to a better understanding of herself. Learning important life lessons as she goes along. She has interesting people in her life and this makes for a good read.
No plot.
Love this series Ms. Bradbury is my hero!
I truly enjoyed this marvelous book ~ I didn’t want it to end! Interesting tidbits about French food and wine ~ I am quite familiar with the region. I will have to
enjoy the other books in this series.
This was a really enjoyable read. It was interesting and picturesque and told in a very entertaining way with so much honesty that you could really identify with the characters. Made the very old homes in France just come alive.
