PARKER After losing my wife in a tragic incident, I pack up and move my kids and I to the mountains to protect my family and my heart. Adjusting from the city life was fairly easy, except as time passes I know I can’t give my kids everything they need. But I’m too proud to admit it. Even when a nanny arrives and offers her expertise and time, I push her away, but my sister isn’t having it. Now … having it. Now the nanny with long, slender legs and big, bright eyes is moving in, and I know opening up to her will be my undoing.
KACEE
When I’m forced to find a new job, I never expect my best friend to send me up the mountains to help her brother, who’s too stubborn to realize he needs it. Though he’s sexy as sin and the attraction is instant, his bad attitude practically scares me away. Considering he didn’t want to hire me in the first place, leaving would be best, but as soon as I meet his kids, I know they need me. So I stay.
There’s too much tension, stolen glances, and a novels worth of unspoken words. The temptation unravels and soon we’re both falling into unknown territory.
Winter may be coming, but the fireplace isn’t the only thing heating up in the cabin.
This is a 30,000+ words standalone novella with a guaranteed HEA!

What a sweet little story
This story gives hope to any who have lost and are scared to live or love again. I love that Parker’s sister has given him a chance to grieve, but when the time is right she pushes him to move on. He couldn’t have found a better partner than Kacee. She matches him in personality, but isn’t afraid to push back when she knows she is right. Loved this book and would highly recommend to any reader.
He’s Been Knocked For A Loop!!
All she wants is to take care of kids; it’s what she’s trained for, what she lives for, what she’s gotten extra certificates for… H€LL, it’s her passion!!
In fact, it’s such a part of her life that when her job ends she’s left feeling downright morose…
He’s a recluse, hiding away in the Mountains mourning the loss of his wife…
After his wife’s murder, He feels the city’s too unsafe for his family, & he’s not risking their lives for any reason… NOT EVEN SCHOOL!!
Sister knows best… don’t let anyone tell you differently, or at least that’s what she says when she confronts him about his kids needing a teacher…
Well, if she can’t bring her Brother OFF the Mountain, then she’ll bring the Teacher to the Brother in the Mountains…
Then he’ll have to deal with MORE than just his kids…

Until next time… Happy Reading!
I’ve started reading this and I was enthralled into the story of Parker and Kacee and their journey to their happily ever after; which was rocky at times and the obstacles they had to face had mainly to do with Parker and his inability to accept that it was okay to move on with his life, with his kids and Kacee, from his deceased wife.
This story had a little bit of everything in it to make it a good story. Parker, a man who’s suffered a great loss, his beloved wife, is emotionally scarred and disappointed at the world. I could understand since his wife was murdered in the city so he moves far away from the city life with his two small children. His sister is worried about him and the way he’s emotionally distanced himself from everyone and they’ve noticed, even the kids, so she asks Kacee’s help. Bet these two never imagined that being boss and employee (Kacee is the kids’ nanny) would lead to passion, heartache, acceptance and a happy ending.
I loved Kacee’s character so much. She was a determined woman, who knew what she wanted and she was so loving with Parker’s kids. It was beautiful to read about and luckily, Parker got his head out of his rear when… can’t give you spoilers because then I’ll ruin the story for you and you have to go read this but I will say, the epilogue was awesome!!
I’m a huge fan of the single dad/nanny trope and this one was cute, sweet, and fun. It was mildly emotional because of the male character’s background but not overly sad. I think the stars of the books were the kids which is super cute. I enjoyed the book and it worked well as a palette cleanser between two longer books, but honestly, the only character’s name that I can recall a day later is the sister of the hero/best friend of the heroine (Penelope) and that’s because she had the most personality out of all of the characters. The thing is, I’m pretty sure that if I can squeeze some space into my TBR, I want to read the first book in the series (it features another trope that I’m trash for), and possibly continue with the series if there are books beyond this one. If you’re a fan of Alexa Riley, Jenika Snow, and Madison Faye but would like something more sweet and less smutty – this might be the book for you!
The only words for this book is adorable! This is my first time reading anything by King and I can promise that it won’t be my last.
The brutish Parker wanted nothing more than to protect his children from the dangers of the city, but bringing them to the middle of nowhere has no caused an issue. It is time for them to begin school, and he is in need of a teacher. Kacee has just lost her job with the family she loves moves away, she falls in love with Parker and his children. All she has ever wanted was to teach children, and these two kids were perfect. What neither one of them banked on was wanting to be with each other in the process.
King does an amazing job and developing all of the characters completely while also keeping the story short. The chemistry between Parker and Kacee jumps off the pages from beginning to end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
This is the second book in the mountain man series. Its Parker and Kacees story. Absolutely loved these two. After Parker lost his wife he moved his two kids and himself to the mountains to protect them. His sister convinces Kacee to be the kids nanny and help them out. At first he furious at his sister for intervening but realizes how much shes helping. They are insanely attracted to each other but knows its wrong. They finally give in and have feelings for each other. There are of course obstacles in the way they have to overcome bit make it work. I really enjoyed these two.
I loved this book very good..
Loved it. It is very well written. I only wish the author would have used some Irish words when Sophia spoke but the story was a good love story.
Parker lost his wife tragically so he moved his family to the mountains. When his sister suggests he get some help with the kids and getting them educated he is against bringing an outsider in. Kacee has worked for a nanny for a long time and has all the credentials that make her perfect for working for Parker. So when he sister gets her to agree to go up and see them she is surprised by how the little family works together. Parker is stunned by how well Kacee fits into his family. Things are going smoothly until things heat up between him and Kacee. Just as they are becoming a family Parker shuts down and makes Kacee leave. Will Parker come to his senses before he loses Kacee?
This is a great story once I started I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Parker and Kacee is blazing hot. This is a very entertaining and well written story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I loved this story. Parker lost his wife and has two small kids that are almost school age. His sister insists that he needs a tutor for them. Her best friend, Kacee, just happens to be a nanny. Kacee helps everyone, even Parker with the loss of his wife years earlier. Even when he doesn’t realize it. This was a great short and steamy read.
This is a must have read by Kelsey King that won’t disappoint! Written so well and such a wonderful story that is realistic with terrific characters that it was so easy to be compelled to read it in one go. Parker is a single dad to Evie and Jackson after his wife died in a mugging. Now five years later he is really struggling to be both parents but his sister has an exceptional idea – get her best friend to act as nanny for him! Kacee is just perfect for the children and there is certainly attraction between her and Parker that will send the mercury in a temperature gauge rising high! If only Jackson hadn’t interrupted them a kiss would have happened so much sooner than it did. I loved these characters and hope that you will too. Another great story from Kelsey and I’m now waiting for her next romantic adventure. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
This book had a lot of potential, but it just didn’t get me interested in the characters. I just didn’t care what happened. I read to the end hoping something exciting would happen…
I have read another book by Ms. King and it was much better than this one.

Kacee is looking for a new job. Penelope Parkers sister tells Parker the kids need more than just him and her. Kacee goes for a trial run for one week to see if the kids progress. Parker realises that accepting Kacees help it’s so bad. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. This is am enjoyable and sweet romance! I like Kacee and Parker’s story. It was a little slow to get started but once it did the pages were being turned quickly. There was a slow build into the relationship between these two and then the steam got turned on big time. I loved all the characters in this story especially little Evie and Jackson. Thanks to a meddling auntie a mountain family was formed. I loved the epilogue!!
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.*
Such a sweet story of a widowed father trying to do the best he can for his two young children. His sister is trying to help him the best she can and brings in her best friend to help teach the children. It was a sweet love story that as they said in the book, they did everything backwards. The chemistry between Kacee and Parker was evident from the beginning and the love she has for Evie and Jackson, is too sweet. You will not be disappointed in this story.

Parker is a mountain man, hiding his children away in a cabin to protect them from the evils of the world. Losing their mom in a violent crime, the only way he could cope was to get away from the city. Now that his kids are getting older, they need to go to school but he can’t stand the thought of them being out of his protection. His sister, Penelope forces the issue when her best friend, Kacee becomes available. Kacee has always loved taking care of kids, helping them grow and learn. She trained to be the best nanny and frankly she is lost without kids in her life. Thrown together, Parker is forced to give her a chance but it grates on him terribly. Especially since he is so attracted to her. Kacee is embarrassed, she has never reacted this way to a man before. WIll they be willing to take a chance on love?
This was a new to be author and boy am I glad I took a chance. This is the second book in her Mountain Man series but I haven’t read that yet. I can honestly say I had no trouble diving into Mountain Man’s Nanny. I will, however, be reading the first book, Mountain Man’s Fiancee as soon as my schedule allows. Ms King has a real knack for drawing these characters so vividly, you are sucked into their world. Their hopes and fears become yours. They also act like adults which I found so refreshing. I cannot wait to see what comes next from the talented Kelsey King!
The great character and storyline development made this book a very enjoyable and entertaining read! I was so engrossed in this story that I ended up reading it in one sitting!
Kaycee takes a position as a nanny for Parker’s two children but never expected to fall for the handsome widower. Parker is attracted to the new beautiful nanny but he still hasn’t gotten over the loss of his wife. As time goes by things heat up and get complicated between Kaycee and Parker but will he ever be ready to let someone else in.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading this story about Parker and Kacee. Parker is a single dad of two small children, his wife was killed in a mugging 5 years before leaving him alone with 2 kids, Evie and Jackson. Parker is trying to do his best he is raising the kids on his own on the mountain but his sister Penelope is determined to get him some help because she feels they need some interaction with someone else besides him and her. Kacee it’s a young woman who has been a Nanny and the family she was working for has just moved back to Germany. Her best friend Penelope is starting to worry about her because she doesn’t want to do anything. Penelope suggest Parker to hire Kacee as a nanny / teacher for his children. When they have a surprise visit Parker grease for a trial of one week. After the end of the week things have been going so well the kids are adjusted well and seem to be learning a lot from Kacee. One evening things heat up between the two of them almost leading to a kiss, unfortunately Jackson is having a nightmare and breaks up the fun. Parker eventually asks for another kiss which she agrees to and things heat up very quickly. They fall into a great routine with the kids and sneaking away for hidden moments. Follow them on their Adventure as Parker and Kacee develop stronger feelings for each other. Unfortunately things don’t always go the way they plan with misunderstandings, leaving them both not sure what the future will hold. I definitely recommend reading the story the characters are great and the storyline is fun as well. I really like the epilogue the best.

The second book in the Mountain Man series which I found to be a well-written story that kept my interest throughout. Parker’s wife was murdered and he moved to the mountains to keep Evie and Jackson his children safe. His sister Penelope believes his children are not getting the education they need so she hires her best friend Kacee to be a nanny to them. Parker does not want Kacee there just when everything is working out Parker kicks Kacee out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
