Big-city sophistication meets carnal hunger in this devilish contemporary romance from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans.Heir apparent to her father’s company, Lizzy Banks needs a man. The perfect man. But when the rich “fundbabies” she usually rubs shoulders with prove impossible to hire, she takes a chance on a raw beast of a man salvaged from the wreckage of a bar … salvaged from the wreckage of a bar brawl.
James Rowan earns a modest income as a YouTube daredevil, but he can’t refuse Lizzy’s million dollar deal. As she polishes his rough edges, creating a sophisticated gentleman fit for the highest circles of society, not only does she bring out the perfect man—it’s like she’s making the man of her dreams. How can she resist?
Though Lizzy loves seeing James in his clothes—and out of them—he isn’t the kind of man you bring home to Daddy. Her father’s disapproval and the pressure of the campaign have her eyeing the straight and narrow, but Lizzy’s finding it awfully hard to resist the devil on her shoulder…

It’s been a good while since I’ve read a Katy Evans book and I’ve been wracking my brain trying to think why.
I forgot how much i love her style of writing and her characters she creates.
Jimmy and Lizzy was great characters! Both had flaws but no one is perfect, at first i was pretty on the fence with Lizzy but the more you read of her the more you get the feel of her character and why she does certain things.
Jimmy/James i loved! But i loved him more as Jimmy, James wasn’t someone he wanted to be even though he thought he did.
Like i said i loved the characters, loved the storyline and everything. I’d love to see more from this world.

The premise sounded interesting and the author is one that I’ve always wanted to read, so I decided to take the plunge and unfortunately this one didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to.
The story in and of itself isn’t horribly written, and had it’s enjoyable moments, but I just couldn’t connect with Lizzy or James. They were likeable, though I did want to Gibbs smack them both on many occasions – and I found that some of their bantering was fun, but they just didn’t have that “it” factor for me.
As I said at the start, I really wanted to like this book, and I know there will be those who will love it. But the mean girl comments and judgements coming from both sides just turned me off rather than on. And, to be honest, the whole situation leading up to the business pitch to Jimmy just didn’t work for me. The one good thing, well person, in all of this was Michael. Him I loved. But, unfortunately he couldn’t save this book for me.

Katy Evans has always been on the list of authors I would drop everything and read their books. Her books always make me smile. Her books always bring so much happiness and light to my heart. Her books always has a story that pulls you in and make you fall in love with love. Makes you fall in love with the characters. Her writing always give me warm fuzzy feelings and sweet notes that give me a sweet ache. Just why she is one of my favourite authors because she gives all her heart in her pages. As a reader, you FEEL it.
Million Dollar Devil is the first fiery standalone book in the Million Dollar series. Million Dollar Devil is a fun and light romance that will tug your heart and make you laugh and smile. Million Dollar Devil is a totally enjoyable read with entrancing couple, wit, banter and a sexy romance you can’t help fall in love with. Katy Evans always excels in writing romances that make you happy. She always brings a level of charm in her stories. Million Dollar Devil is the perfect summer read to indulge in
Million Dollar Devil will introduce you to Lizzy an heiress and Jimmy, a YouTube daredevil who give you sizzling chemistry and fun and witty banter that makes it quite a lovely and easy read. Lizzy and Jimmy will entrance you heart. My only problem, it took a while to get into their chemistry. But once I got into their chemistry, I swept away in their sweet and sultry romance.
I feel a certain decline in Katy Evans writing. Maybe, it is because I read a lot of her books and I expect so much from her. I don’t know but I feel that I am losing a connection with her characters. No doubt, she is one of the gifted writers ever. For her next book, I want to see her giving me the connection I crave.

I am not sure where I should start. This was one of those books I was really hoping to be a hit for me. I have seen it all over the place, and my book club voted it for our monthly read.
The overall story itself is a good one. The idea of a normal guy hitting it big and falling for the woman who discovered him may not be entirely original, but it’s usually a good premise for a promising story. I was all for it.
I just can’t with Lizzy’s character. She was written so terribly, she ruined the entire book. She has no depth. Her ignorance towards people in social classes “below” her is not only cliche’ but so overly exaggerated. She is vapid and comes across as uncaring to anyone but herself. Her character completely disgusted me. I had to force myself to finish the book.
I loved Jimmy. His character was mostly written pretty well. He was mostly real and completely relatable. I actually didn’t want him to end up with Lizzy. His character deserved more, better.
Because of the differences in how the characters are written, there is no real chemistry between these characters. Lizzy’s skewed view of people she saw as beneath her completely ruin any chances of me rooting for this couple to get an HEA.
I don’t really have many positive things to say about this book. So I am going to keep this review to what I have already said. This isn’t a book I can see myself recommending to anyone.
I really missed this kind of Katy’s books. This kind of angst, all those butterflies flying in my chest, the heat rising in certain scenes. I absolutely loved it!!!
James and Lizzy got me since the very beginning. Their first encounter was memorable. And everything that followed was perfection. Even those moments when I felt like my heart was breaking apart. Especially those moments when I needed to take a break to just breathe, stare to the sky and contemplate life.
James “Jimmy” Rowan is a man unique, one of his own. Like no other. Ruthless. Daredevil. Passionate.
And Lizzy is like a princess striving for perfection even when she is perfect just being herself.
This story has the necessary to engulf you from beggining to end, giving you the feelings, charming you with its charisma, taking you to a paradise of love, acceptance and the perfect amount of dare.
Love that Lizzy is a strong women except wanting her father’s total approval. James is the man she meets and makes over for her company and she ends up falling in love with him. I recommend this book!
Heartfelt opposites attracting story!
Devilishly dirty and sinfully delicious this fast paced read is a perfect addition to summertime reading!
The sexual tension and push and pull was fun to read but there were elements of the characters that felt unbelievable and the ending felt rushed!
3.5 stars!
This book. Much like all of Katy Evans books are fabulous. She has a way with words that keeps you hypnotized. Million Dollar Evil is no different on that front. She has the formula down on slow burn stories. And I love every minute of it.
The chemistry between Lizzy and James is so hot I’m honestly surprised my Kindle didn’t catch in fire. Aye caramba! So good
This was a fun and angsty forbidden romance. Elizabeth Banks wants to prove to her father that she has what it takes to run his clothing empire. When she is running out of options to find what her father would approve of, she meets daredevil, James Rowan, in a seedy bar. He has his own successful Youtube channel that chronicles the stunts he is challenged to do. But Elizabeth offers him a challenge he can’t refuse. He takes the challenge to be the perfect representative for her company with the assurance he will be able to give his brother a better life. As He and Elizabeth work to refine his appearance, their chemistry heats up as well. But what happens to them both when the truth comes out and this refined gentleman is exposed along with Elizabeth’s deception? I really grew to care for Elizabeth and James, and his brother Charlie. This is a swoony and sexy, fun and flirty romance with enough angst and emotion to keep you engaged from start to finish.
Katy Evans is one of my favorite authors for a reason and this book is everything I love in her books. Elizabeth (Lizzy) wants her father to see her as a future CEO for Banks, Ltd. She finds herself facing Jimmy Rowan, the Daredevil, but perfect guy for the face of the new campaign. This story reminded me of Pygmalion in a reverse way. I absolutely loved it. The untamed, risk taker, YouTube sensation Jimmy will find himself more than a million dollar deal and Lizzy will see that not everything that she thought she wanted is what she needs. A 5 star read. The audiobook I must say is amazing, the narrators did an outstanding job and I totally recommend it as well.
Million Dollar Devil by Katy Evans is a standalone rags-to-riches trope with the heroine finding the face of her new mens clothing line in a seedy bar one night. Well-written and well-paced, supremely hot with back and forth tension between these two that is palpable throughout the story. This story was fantastic. A refreshing twist on the millionaire trope with the rich one being the woman and the not-so-rich one being the male but never once did it emasculate him. A typically awesome Katy Evans book and a must-read, in my opinion. Enjoy!

I always know when I pick up a book by Katy Evans I am not going to be disappointed. Million Dollar Devil is a fun flirty romance I couldn’t put down. I loved Elizabeth and Jimmy’s chemistry.
Elizabeth wants her father’s acceptance and to impress him. She is a socialite and an heiress to the family company Banks LTD. For her failure is not an option. She is given the job of finding the face for the new men’s line and is having a hard time. The perfect man is out there but it’s tuff finding him. She comes across Jimmy and he is perfect for the job once she works her magic on him.
Jimmy is rough around the edges and a daredevil. The more time they spend together the harder it is to control the chemistry between them. He makes her feel alive and she shows him the real her.
If you are looking for a flirty romance this is the book for you. Grab your copy of Million Dollar Devil!
Whenever I’m reading a book by Katy Evans, I get into this frantic mode, where I’m desperate to know what happens next, and I skim forwards to find out, then I go back to re-read the section where I was. I stay in this back and forth mode because her books make me crazy to know what happens next, but then I don’t want to miss any single word of the story.
This book was a little different from her others, because the male character wasn’t a suave, rich and sophisticated male. This man was all male all right, but he was also uncouth, daredevil, sex-driven, and also a little vulgar. However, he packed a sex punch that left Lizzie in a fog whenever she was near him. His name is Jimmy Rowan and he works a YouTube channel where he takes bets for crazy stunts. He and his little brother Charlie lost their parents ten years ago and they are making do as best they can, living a poor life in a poor part of town. When Elizabeth Banks appears out of nowhere and offers Jimmy a million dollars to become the face of Banks LTD in their new men’s clothes campaign, all he said is: where do I sign?
It takes Lizzie three months but she makes it, she polished Jimmy into James Rowan, GQ model, sex symbol, the charismatic face of Banks LTD. Doing this, she made her dream come true: recognition from her father, the CEO of Banks LTD, a man who only wants excellence and perfection from everyone, including his daughter.
During this period, Lizzie realized that she had fallen for her rough diamond, later polished into a brilliant diamond, but then lost him to fame, work, his fans, her father who claimed him as his own project, his many appointments. His little brother Charlie also felt that he lost his big brother in this scheme, Jimmy sort of lost himself too, and then he suddenly realized he was losing Lizzie. They had such a great chemistry and easy going relation, but all of a sudden there was distance and an overprotective father.
This was such a wonderful story of recognition, achievement, arrival at your self-truth and what is really important. Lizzie had to confront what was really important to her: her father’s pride and love or her happiness. This book was enthralling and kept me riveted beginning to finish with all the skimming and backing up involved. In the end, I think I read every paragraph about 50 times but it was all wonderfully enjoyable. A new type of character and a man who grew into his destiny, bravo Katy Evans.

I was so glad to hear Ms. Evans was coming out with this new series. I appreciated the fresh story line: Lizzy always trying to please her father, must find the new face for their companies new clothing line. She stumbles across Jimmy, a daredevil/ brawler from the wrong side of the tracks. Through the ups and downs I loved the transformation from Jimmy to James. The epilogue was short and left me wanting more of these two. I hope we get to catch up with them throughout the series.
Elizabeth Banks, “Little Miss perfect” has seemed to have met her match on that one fateful day at a dive bar while feeling racked with desperation. Trying not to disappoint her father, while striving to become CEO of the family business. She makes a crazy business decision that could either make or break her career. James, Mister I will do anything for a dare. Although, built like a god. Does not fit her mold. He is unkempt, unwealthy, and not properly educated in all things high class. He accepts a lucrative business offer from Lizzie, but he does not make things easy.
Not quick to fall in line. He tests Lizzie’s patience in business, and in private. James, and Lizzie are total opposites when it comes to business and money, but there undeniable attraction for each other is very much the same. Lizzie needs a little bit of unkempt testosterone in her life to help her let her hair down, and James needs a little “Perfection” in his life to help him realize what he has been missing. They may be total opposites in life, but somehow they seem to fit together like a glove.
Once again Katy Evans has created another page turning masterpiece. This author knows how to make you feel like you are a part of the stories she writes. I can’t wait to read the next part of this installment.
James is just delicious! This dirty mouthed bad boy had me from the first time we meet him. His fierce protectiveness over his brother had me swooning. I loved his bad boy ways.
Elizabeth is striving to be the son that he father never had. She wants him to see her for the business woman that she is. When she comes up with the idea to make James the face of her new line, who knew what the future would hold for these two!
Ms. Evans tells a great tale with characters that are easy to love. Great read!
Jimmy and Lizzy !!!! Lizzy was an heiress that all she knew was perfection. She was young, beautiful and successful working for her dad’s company in which one day she hoped to be the next CEO. All her life all she tried to do was please her dad. Then enters Jimmy, daredevil from the wrong side of the tracks and completely opposite of what her dad wants for her. Jimmy meets Lizzy at a bar but it’s not love at first sight. He does think she’s extremely gorgeous but out of his league. Then she has an offer for him which he thinks is something completely different, lol. He becomes her “project” and it’s smoldering hot with lots of banters afterwards. There was never a dull moment reading these two. And boy did Jimmy have to work hard and that’s what made this story even better. You actually see how things are built up between these two and it’s fun to read. There was a slight hiccup but nothing too dramatic. The secondary characters were a great addition even though at first I disliked her dad. You also see the amazing heart that Jimmy has. I would love to read more about these two.
Lizzy and James have their unique slow burn love story. We do not see a lot story when rich girl fells for poor single parent figure. That is exactly what happens in the book. Lizzy is full of daddy issues, James with baggage from the past but somehow they connect on deeper level and can see the best that lies underneath all hidden layers. Story was not perfect but nevertheless very enjoyable hot romantic and daring.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
Million Dollar Devil is another winner by the fabulous Katy Evan’s. Elizabeth has one main focus in life, to make her father proud, especially in his business. She thinks she has found a way by landing the next million dollar ad campaign. She doesn’t expect to fall for James, just make him over. However, the daredevil himself makes it hard to resist, not only is he sexy, he’s got a heart of gold under his rough exterior. These two have sparks flying from the beginning. I adore their story, the writing is superb and flows, the characters are amazing, and I just want more!
