He’s sexy as sin and hotter than hell and—oh wait. What would you do to save a loved one’s life? Make a pact with the Devil? In Diana Kingston’s defense, it was the middle of the night in the deserted hospital chapel… surely it was just a dream. She hadn’t really sold herself to a brooding stranger to save her father’s life, right? Then she wakes and her father is fully recovered and a mysterious … life, right? Then she wakes and her father is fully recovered and a mysterious letter arrives from the tall, dark, handsome—um, Devil? Yep, it was right there on the contract, Lucien Star, aka Lucifer Morningstar, that had been his name in the dream… Gulp. What would the Devil himself want with her? Sex. Three months of hot, sweaty, Friday night sex.
Ooookay. Breaking a pact with the Devil doesn’t seem like a smart move. So she’ll do it—but she won’t like it. Not much anyway. But she starts liking it – a lot—and every night they spend together, she likes it and Lucien a little more. Being with him allows her naughty side to come out and play, but Diana starts to see more than just a sexy-as-sin, rock-hard … er…Anyway, he might be Satan, but even he was an angel once. Kind. Noble. And she sees glimpses of that man still inside him… But how in Heaven’s name do you save the Devil from himself?

Fabulous read!!! I loved this first book Emma’s castle ! Its a little like the tv show Lucifer as in the devil is a total bad boy and falls for a human woman and Lucien star does run a night club and has become very jaded and only cares about dark pleasures, but that’s were the similarities end. Lucien has always felt the loss of being a fallen angel and being sent to deal with evil and reign as the king of hell and knowing that their is no hope of redemption. So he has lived for thousands of years making deals to keep those in hell where they belong. When Diana’s father is dying from cancer she will do anything to save her father and so starts the bargain between Lucien and her. Every Friday at midnight for 3months Diana must come to Lucien and submit to him physically. Lucien must corrupt her pure soul so that when she dies her soul will go to hell to help strenghthen the walls.
This is a totally erotic read with hot sex and romance and has humor and a wonderful storyline. If you like sexy dark hero’s Midnight With The Devil is your read! I promise you that you’ll enjoy all his tortures, I know I did!
I don’t even know where to begin because this book was so good! I expected one thing – the Devil takes an innocent female soul in exchange for the life of a loved one and they fall in love – but it is much more than that. Emma Castle’s take on the devil is different than what I’ve read before and in a good way.
Lucien Star, aka the Devil, Satan, Lucifer, fell from grace many years ago due to his pride. Charged with guarding hell, he needs to find a pure soul to keep the gates of Hell closed. Diana is desperate. Her father is dying and she would do anything to keep him alive – including making a bargain with the devil. The two characters are interesting. Lucien is arrogant, somewhat selfish, and a bit of an alpha male. Diana is kind-hearted, compassionate and a strong character learning what it is like to give herself to Lucien. The two are so different that they make an unlikely pair. I really enjoyed watching how their relationship evolved and talk about those steamy scenes!
I really enjoyed Midnight with the Devil. The ending was phenomenal and I loved the epilogue. The book was entertaining and moved at a good pace. The characters were well developed with both strengths and flaws. I liked the secondary character of Amara and I think I would have liked to seen more of her in the book. This is my first book by Emma Castle and it will not be my last. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.
I know we are never to judge a book by its cover, but something about this one kind of grabbed me. Once I read the blurb, the storyline sounded really interesting. Well, it definitely was. Usually anti-heroes are a hit or miss for me, but I really liked Lucien in this one.
I loved both characters so much! Diana was all good, she was so kind and sweet. She basically gave up her soul to save her father. And then you have Lucien, who could be such a jerk (he is the Devil), but as he spends more time with Diana, things start to change for him.
I did not see this as too dark of a romance, which is actually nice sometimes. I think it is the banter between the two that I loved the most. When Lucien was the a$$, I just wanted to kick him where it hurts, then we have those hilarious moments like in the grocery store, where I was laughing out loud. But then you have those sweet moments when Lucien actually starts to feel that made my heart melt.
Overall, I thought this was a great debut novel. And the ending was just perfect.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the complimentary copy of Midnight with the Devil. All opinions are my own.
The devil was bored. He Had Created the Hellfire Club but that no longer satisfied. Diana Kingston knew that life wasn’t fair as her dad was in the hospital dying from cancer. She couldn’t stay and watching die it hurt too much so she told her mom Janet that she was going to get some air. She entered the small chapel at the hospital and she was angry it wasn’t fair that her dad was dying she heard a noise and looked back saw a man in the animal part of her brain caused her to want to shriek and run that he was attractive like a model from a fashion magazine he was the devil and she made a deal with him he would cure her father and all she had to do was to sell her soul and give herself to the devil the devil called her Pierce old and he needed to corrupt her she would spend each Friday night three months starting at midnight with the devil and obey his every command. Diana and Lucien began bending Friday nights together. You need to read the book to find out what they do and what happens to both Diana and Lucien it will surprise you…
I don’t read contemporary books I more or less stick with the historical romances but I received this book as a gift by the author and I love her historical romance books so I thought I would give it a try. I was hooked from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down till I had finished it.
Lucifer makes a deal with Diana to save her father from cancer. She must for 3 months every Friday come to Lucifer and submit to him and when she dies her soul will go to hell to strengthen the wall. I loved how it ended up being a HEA for Lucifer. I was on pins and needles wondering how it would turn out and I was not disappointed.
This is totally a very erotic read and the story line is so great that you just can’t put it down.
Diana father dying but while in the chapel at the hospital she meets a stranger. Lucien is the stranger . She makes this deal to save her dad’s life. What she didn’t make a deal was to fall in love and her life to change so drastically. But to have this love was wonderful.
Freaking mind blown…. Just when you think you know what is going to happen. WHAMO! The first book I have read by Emma Castle and it is such a good book. Hotter than sin itself.
“My dear, we are just getting started.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll make it dark, hard, and dirty for you. You’ll never want sweet and slow again.”
Would you make a deal with the devil to save your loved one? Lucian in this book is so freaking sexy, it makes you want to crawl into the book and be Diana. This is not your typical deal with the devil book, my mind thought of many ways he could “torture” her but this book shows the fallen angel side of the devil. Almost the human side of the devil if you could think of the devil that way. I freaking LOVE how this book ended.
Off The Chart Stars
ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review- opinions are my own !!
I LOVED THIS BOOK !!
What initially attracted me to the book was that it sounded like Lucifer a fav TV show I’ve been a fan of for a few yrs now! Regardless this book is just fabulous!!
Based on the fall from grace of Lucifer (aka Lucien – The Morning Star ) from heaven to hell stripped of his angels wings – living between both worlds with mere mortals …
Diana makes a plea that her dying father be spared & there in begins the relationship between Lucien & Diana as she makes a pact with the devil 3 months of doing his bidding & her father’s life will be spared …
I read this book in one sitting as I was SO enthralled with the storyline!! Loved the characters – the sharp – snarky dialog – clearly funny at times – just a highly entertaing – sexy 5 Star read !! Can’t wait to check out this author’s other work !!
You will not be able to wait to see what happens when Diana literally gets in bed with the devil
Highly recommend this great read !!
Midnight With the Devil by Emma Castle is the story of Diana Kingston and Lucien Star.
Emma is desperate to save her father somehow made a bargain with Lucien who acted on her need to help her father. Now Emma is on a course with the ‘devil’ who ends up not being to devilish so this turned out to be not to dark of a romance for me, which I liked.
Overall enjoyed this book and will look for more from this author.
Highly enjoyable book. Didn’t think that when you make a deal with the devil that it gets that steamy and entertaining. And that ending…..did not see it coming. Loved it but wish there was more books.
I went in thinking one thing when I started this book and came out the other getting much more. Good quick read that leaves you wanting more of Diana and Lucien.
Wasn’t what I was expecting. Loved this PNR. It was a beautiful story of the sacrifices we make for the ones we love. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters.
I won an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
OMG. I loved this book. Who would have thought the devil could be so…. delightfully naughty… and well, heroic?
Definitely worth the read!
But bring tissues.
I absolutely loved this first book by Emma Castle. It gripped me from the first page and didn’t let go. It was intriguing and hot as hell(pun intended)! I read this entire book in one sitting.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, a romance with the Devil, but found it to be very entertaining and a wonderful book to read. I loved following Diana and Lucian’s story to it’s, what I found, very surprising ending.
What a book! I’m so happy that I had the chance to read this book. It’s my first by Emma Castle.
All the darkness combined with a shred of light now and then, was wonderful. The change that took place in ’Lucifer’….
Not to mentioned what happened in the end of the story.
I can’t wait to read another story by this author.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC if this book.
As soon as I started reading Midnight With The Devil I was immediately intrigued, the plot grabbed a hold of me and wouldn’t let go. This is a fantastic, well written debut novel and I was pleasantly surprised.
Midnight With The Devil has the same concept as the movie City Of Angels however in this story, the fallen angel/hero, Lucian is the devil himself. Diana is a sweet, innocent and pure woman who makes a deal with the devil to save her father’s life. Their connection was immediate that grew into something deep and emotional which led to great character development. Their sexual chemistry and intimate times were filled with passion, heat and desire. Midnight With The Devil had a perfect balance of angst, dark romance and humor.
I definitely recommend reading Midnight With The Devil and I absolutely cannot wait to read more books from this author.
Midnight With the Devil was so good!! Diana finds herself making a deal with Lucian Star aka the Devil. I loved this! I loved loved that sexy devil Lucian. Lucian and Diana were scorching together! This was a great read!
MIDNIGHT WITH THE DEVIL is book 1 of Unlikely Heroes series by Emma Castle. What would you do to save a loved one’s life? Make a pact with the Devil? That is what Diana Kingston has done. Lucian Star, aka, Lucifer Morningstar, is not what she expected to find in a devil. For starters, he’s dark and handsome, even kind and noble. As for Lucian Star, he starts spending more time outside their midnight agreement.
Emma Castle puts an interesting twist into Lucifer Morningstar character, turning him into the antihero-turned-hero, enabling readers to see how his relationship with Diana changes him. Midnight With The Devil is a balance of angst, dark romance and humor—where love conquers all. It’s hot, steamy and shows how love’s sacrifice brings a second chance and redemption. I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful romance of forbidden love.
Midnight With the Devil by Emma Castle – This was a freebie, and I was ready to find it sacrilegious to the point of being annoying. I actually really liked it once I dismissed the humanization of the devil. If we are going to be fair, I really liked the leading lady. I was just thrilled she got the happy ending she deserved! Happy Reading!
