An amusing, fast-paced tale of who’s cheating who. I couldn’t help but chuckle as the thoroughly unlikable Duane managed to get himself into more and more trouble romantically. With a combination of betrayals, misunderstandings, and machinations that are sometimes silly, this one is quick read with lots of wit. It’s the perfect length for finishing in one sitting, and I have to say that the ending was absolutely perfect and left me laughing.
This is a well written book with a fun and entertaining story that had me laughing out loud. The characters are strong and realistic and the story flows quickly and smoothly. The author brings twists and humor to the story and brings the story to life with her perfectly painted scenes. She had me hooked from start to finish reading and I would recommend this book.

ONE OUTSTANDING TREAT!!!
AWESOME! This is one refreshing spin that grabs your attention from the beginning. It never let’s up and never let’s down. An all out mesmerizing, enthralling drama and suspense that will definitely keep your focus as you follow flipping page after page. A spinning eddy of surprising mishaps and unpredictable events propels those spiraling emotions, bursting to life wonderously. Struggling through all the trials and tribulations along with a few bumps and bruises sends this bad boy skyrocketing. One outstanding storyline and gripping plot keep you on a razors edge. The characters are authentic, relatable and realistic with depth and qualities it feels as though you’ve acquired some new friends. The scenes are graphically detailed and descriptive making it easy to picture each scenario in living color. Fantastic job Marcia, thanks for sharing.
3.5 Review of Mariel’s Marriage Mayhem by Marcia Carrington
A new author to me. I am not a fan of cheating, so when the heroine Mariel Crain finds out on her wedding day that Duane Davenport has been cheating on her with her best friend Melissa, I thought oh no here we go.
The fact that it is Duane’s best friend Damian Anders who told her just adds fuel to the fire. There was certainly drama and angst in this story, but not so much romance, which I was expecting.
This was not a particularly long read but I found it enjoyable.
This is my honest and completely voluntary review.
In a dressing room in the church putting finishing touches on everything is not the time to listen to a recording of your fiancé and your good friend. Especially when what it being said is something that should not have ever happen, not to mention having your best friend playing the recording, and hearing that this has been going on for some time – definitely NOT something anyone should go through. Unfortunately poor Mariel is living in this nightmare.
Being stuck up, not taking into consideration anyone else’s feelings, except for his own. Never in a million years did Duane think that his “on the side” actions would be found out. After all, it was all hush hush, and it was what he really wanted after all. Now standing at the alter waiting for his bride, it comes as a complete shock that his future wife would be the one to object and is speaking now and not holding her peace.
The ex-fiance and the ex-friend can continue their activities. Mariel is through with this whole thing. However, Duane isn’t willing to give her up. He wants his cake and to eat it too. Neither woman is going to allow that. Being the manipulating jerk that he is, he will do anything to get Mariel back, at any cost too.
Damian is finally able to admit to Mariel how much he loves her and always has. He feels horrible about having to share with her about her ex, but he is not going to stand in the shadows anymore. Sawyer, Damian and Mariel have been friends since high school. There is a close bond between Sawyer and Damian, just like brothers. However, there is something they get caught at and it is a complete misunderstanding, when the whole thing is explained, it goes to show how manipulative Duane really is.
It really is a story that Duane and Melissa (the exes) are able to be together openly now. Just the same for Damian and Mariel, being together finally and allowing the true love to shine through for their happy ever after.
