16 MILLION COPIES SOLD‘A book to read, to cherish, to debate, and one that will ultimately keep the memories of the victims alive’ John Boyne, author of The Boy in the Striped PyjamasA prominent Viennese psychiatrist before the war, Viktor Frankl was uniquely able to observe the way that both he and others in Auschwitz coped (or didn’t) with the experience. He noticed that it was the men who … experience. He noticed that it was the men who comforted others and who gave away their last piece of bread who survived the longest – and who offered proof that everything can be taken away from us except the ability to choose our attitude in any given set of circumstances. The sort of person the concentration camp prisoner became was the result of an inner decision and not of camp influences alone. Frankl came to believe man’s deepest desire is to search for meaning and purpose. This outstanding work offers us all a way to transcend suffering and find significance in the art of living.

Really fascinating how victor Frankl shows how we can live in tough times and deal from our suffering.
I’ve read this countless times. I’ll read it countless more. It should be required life reading.
Great Insight, must read for everyone.
Very compelling, insightful, and well-written book from a very unique perspective. I highly recommend it.
Vikrtor Frankel is a Master Thinker and Inspirational Men, who survived very tough time with right attitude. This book was recommended to me years back and so far, I have read this more than 8 times in my life and I will read it again as well. This book talks about how to keep your attitude right in tough environment.
Well. My encounter of this showed me meaning of life, how to cope with life’s challenges.
A deep and moving look into concentration camps and the mental and physical trials experienced. What a valuable addition to our knowledge of history. And so so relevant now!
Powerful from the first to last page. Timeless in the lessons communicated.
This is a life-altering book. It will stay with you forever and open your eyes to the world in a most amazing way.
This is probably my favorite book. The one that had the most impact on my life. The idea that finding meaning in life is what makes the difference between persevering through incredible torment and giving up. How much less are my struggles and yet still the meaning can become foggy at times. I’ve read the second half (after the concentration camp) …
An important book in Leadership Development Studies. THought provokingly human and inspiring.
I read it once every year. It inspires me to be a better human
This book is not a one time read! There are lots of deep concepts that require you to go over it again to grasp them. This book has shown me that the way we think and approach life determined whether we’ll be able to understand and fulfill our purpose. It’s all about our perception! Nothing can stop us once we know our why!
Our reality is shaped not my what happens but how we respond
A true gem of insight into the human condition and beyond!
As a late comer to this powerfully written work I see why it has resonated down through the generations that grew up decades after the horrors of the holocaust. Dr Frankl’s recollections and keen insights into human behavior and motivations are wonderful. This book is a classic that will …
A must-read classic. Man’s Search for Meaning is a book about hope, a fat dose of perspective, and a reminder that humans are creatures of the intangible. Life, death, and meaning are inescapably intertwined, to be sure, but Frankl shows us how meaning can keep us alive. Frankl’s work was of profound inspiration for my own book, YOU MIGHT DIE …
This is one of the most helpful books I have ever read, and I cannot recommend it enough. Dr. Frankl lived through so much and had great wisdom to share as a result. Telling of his experiences during the Holocaust and the lessons he learned, it is not depressing, but is actually deeply inspirational. Read this book! You will come away a better …
This is one of those books that I believe should be required reading for any human being.
Frankl’s extraordinary story of love, loss, and survival through the Nazi Death Camps informed a whole new and transformative philosophy around human suffering.
Building on Frankl’s own experience as a concentration camp inmate, this book asks, how might we lead a meaningful life? An easy read that brings great perspective, not least by reminding us that life, and freedom, are not to be wasted or taken for granted.
This book absolutely changed my life. I read it when I was but a mere babe of 19. It taught me the meaning of life, about resiliency, and overcoming, even in the face of the worst circumstances. It should be required reading for schoolchildren in America
