“Love is savage, love is blind, love is something they may not find…”Once upon a time, there was a young girl who lived in a battered trailer, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. One day, she fell down The Elite Kings’ rabbit hole. Sucked into a dark vortex of lies, hate, and deceit, and spat out by money, glitz, and power. There were things this little girl didn’t know, things she was about … know, things she was about to find out and secrets that have been kept from her. Those secrets were guarded by the boys that were about to smash her world open and tear it all apart…
He may be a Malum, but she is a Stuprum, born into this world but neglected by the choice of her mother. Her eyes may not glisten with stars, but they roar with fire, and when she finally reaches her peak, it’s that same fire that will burn.
Them.
All.
Down.
My name is Tillie Stuprum, and my story is not like the rest.
Everything she thought she knew is a fabricated version of the truth. I’m Nate Riverside-Malum, the one your girl whispers about to her friends and whose initials are scratched into your back. Her story is not like the rest of them, because her story is dead.

WTF!!
Amo and her twisted brain has sent me on a roller-coaster of WTF emotions with this one. She is seriously the Queen of Mindfucks!
If you think you know Nate from the previous books then throw those preconceptions away this boy will keep you on the edge of your seat. The sweet boy we knew is gone and the arsehole is here but boy does he creep into your heart and take hold anyway!!
These Elite Kings are still keeping us guessing with these epic twists and turns that you never see coming.
There is a part in this book that is hard to read but Amo wrote this part so well with such raw and real emotions that rip into you.
After this twisted WTF cliffhanger I need the next book NOW before I reach my judgement on where I love/hate Amo…………..only joking there is no way you can not love Amo and her writing. Its flawless, its emotional, its dark, its hot AF and it pushes your boundaries and comfort limits but its oh damn good.
I am excited/nervous to see what happens in Malum:Part 2
5 freaking beautiful stars!! I’ve loved Nate and Tillie since The Silver Swan and I was all too excited to finally read their story! And I was not disappointed! It was so twisted and devious! I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that fast before! I would absolutely recommend this book book if you like dark twisted reads!!

What in the holy heck did you do to my brain, Amo Jones?!?!? I read the Elite series right before I read this one to make sure I was on track with this series. They had been in my TBR stack for a while now and now I cannot figure out why I waited so long. I read all four books in one week. Malum 1 was an all-nighter. For one WEEK, everything stopped so I could be buried in these books. I could not put them down. Even when I HAD to put them down my brain would not stop thinking about the books.
Malum 1 by Amo Jones is Nate and Tillie’s story and Amo Jones ripped my heart out right in the middle of the dang book. At two o’clock in the morning, I found myself bawling. Amo, you have killed me.
Nate and Tillie have some work to do in this book. Nate being Nate, good gracious that boy will drive you insane, you just wanna stab him in the eye at times and then there are times you want to eat him up.
This story is a roller coaster where the story slowly goes up and up and up and you wait page after page, click after click of the roller coaster and then WHAM your stomach drops out because the roller coaster just drops you, completely lets go.
Please make sure you have read the Elite Kings series before picking up this book. It is book four of the series and you will need to know every little detail. There is no skimming over pages, you have to dive into these books.
I NEED MALUM 2 STAT!
OMG I don’t know which way is up or even what planet I’m on at the moment, my head is spinning!! What the hell??!! I didn’t see that ending coming at all!! Classic Amo style all over, complete MF!!
Book 4 in the Elite Kings Club, make sure you have read the other 3 to have any hope of understanding anything that is going on!! The first 3 books follows the story of Madison and Bishop, this one is all about Nate and Tillie.
I loved Nate in the first 3 books, but this one reveals a totally different side to him that really didn’t come out in those other 3. Talk about whiplash!! My goodness, he goes from being a dark, nasty, menacing and scary king one minute to a sweet, lovable, adorable hunk the next!! It left me reeling!!
Tillie is the girl who ran away and left Nate, had his baby and then came back. She has always been the one who can stand up to him, understands him but he continues to break her heart at every turn. Their story is quite literally toxic – a train wreck waiting to happen, sad, heartbreaking and gut wrenching. There are twists and turns galore, dark secrets and games and hot steamy sexiness.
I was in a constant state of hating Nate for the way he behaved and treated Tillie to loving him for his sweet and adorable ways with his daughter. There is a scene in the book the author warns you about that changes the whole feel and outlook of their world. Nothing can prepare you for the sucker punch to the heart that this delivers. I was emotionally wrung out after reading this, my heart was bleeding and it hurt. Then there’s the ending and I’m like really WTF?!
I need Part 2 of this like yesterday please!! Fantastically dark, raw, gritty and powerful, I was completely lost to this storyline, it packs a punch that doesn’t let go. Brilliantly done.

Review:
Without a doubt, I am completely blow away with Malum AND have the book hangover to prove it. One that I don’t think there will be a cure for until the release of part two. The story was gripping and fast paced and sucked me in so quickly I lost complete track of time reading this one. The more I read by Amo Jones, the more obsessed I become with her writing. I am definitely a fan of dark romance and the Elite Kings books were some of my favorite reads recently. I literally agonized over whether I would be in that lucky group of bloggers that received the early review copy of Malum. You see, my blog schedule is packed for months on end and the thought of waiting to read Malum was seriously hell. But when I got that beautiful email telling me to check my kindle? Yah, no joke, I literally dropped everything and started reading.
I seriously didn’t expect to love Malum more than I did Bishop and Madison’s story (the Elite Kings books 1-3) but holy shit, this book knocked me on my ass. Amo Jones is incredibly talented. As the fourth book in the Elite Kings series, Amo takes readers on one hell of a rollercoaster that was in no way predicable. Malum is crazy, seductive, dark, sexy as hell and utterly delicious. This story is not for someone who loves cookie cutter romance or easy reads because as quickly as you get lost in it, your mind is consumed with each and every element of this original romance. Elements of the book can be shocking for some, but the suspense and mind-games this book possessed held me enthralled and I devoured Nate and Tillie’s story.
When I say this book is an emotional rollercoaster, I mean it. While I don’t think I can ever claim such in the past, this is one dark romance that literally had me in tears at one point. The emotional investment I experienced while reading Tillie and Nate’s story was at an all-time high and I attribute that entirely to the skill with which the story was plotted and delivered—and there is undeniably true brilliance in Amo Jones writing. I don’t think the story is for everyone, and that’s perfectly fine. But I love something that is as twisted and dark as Malum was.
Its mportant to know that while Malum revolves around a new couple—Tillie and Nate–the story takes you through a series of events that are heavily intertwined with The Silver Swan, The Broken Puppet and Tacet a Mortuis (The Elite Kinds books 1-3) and therefore should not be read as a standalone. Nate is the second King… second to Bishop in the group. And the juxtapose of his character, the sweet, soft, and sexy side verse his dark, mindgame loving, alpha, manwhore ways won me over in the first three books. All the boys are extremely charismatic and just plain sexy, the way any good book boyfriend should be. Yet, something about Nate left me utterly intrigued with unraveling his character and I was excited to see it was in the works after I completed Tacet A Mortuis. And Tillie? She’s just badass! This girl has survived it all. She’s sassy, ballsy, and not about to put up with Nate’s shit for one minute… this is one strong heroine and it’s impossible not to love her. She’s the poster child for girl power!!! If you love characters that work their way into your soul? Then Malum is one book you shouldn’t miss. I am even dying to see some of the Kings get their own stories—umm, read Brandly—and that’s saying something since that would ensure additional cliffhangers following Amo’s current pattern. Did I mention I hate cliffhangers?! After the way Tacet A Mortuis ended, I was ready to throw my kindle. I especially hate cliffies when I have to wait to read the next book, so I try to avoid them all together. Regardless, there is just something about the way Amo Jones writes them that is so addictive, I wouldn’t pass them up to save my life. Dramatic? Absolutely, but it’s a fact once you’ve fallen down the rabbit hole that is an Amo Jones book you’re straight up helpless to resist their lure. Moreover, f you’re a dark romance junkie like myself, and you come across someone with the skills to surprise you time after time, you just go with it. I often find that it feels like I’ve read every story… after all, I read a book a day as a rule for nearly 30 years, yet I can honestly say I have never felt that way with this particular author. For me, that fact alone makes Amo’s work solid gold. But the plot progression, character development and prose of Amo Jones’ books are second to none and that is what draws me in again and again. I cannot recommend this story enough. These books are simply incredible and if you’re reading reviews, you’re wasting precious reading time, so just buy the books now and get started!

I wish I could write a long winded review about this fantastic book….I can’t.
Why?
Because I’m utterly speechless, broken, intrigued, turned on, and in DESPERATE need for Part 2.
MALUM PART 1 is book four of the Elite Kings Series by the GENIUS Amo Jones.
It would be an ENORMOUS disservice if you don’t read the Elite Kings series BEFORE you dive into Malum. This story is extremely complex and having the background story of the previous books WILL help you understand and give you a MUCH better picture of the how and why this story is the way it is.
However, if you dare read Malum as a standalone, well………..I’ll “pray” for you.
Well sheet man! I mean, Amo Jones completely rocks this story. Malum is one of my favorite books from Amo Jones E-V-E-R!! I would definitely recommend some type of protective gear! Jones takes you on a ride that WILL leave you with whiplash! I loved Nate, I hated Nate, I wanted to crawl all over Nate and cover him in kisses… as I beat him!! He had me feeling conflicted, confused. I expected such a messed up filthy mess but it was so much more than that. Amo Jones broke me. She made me cry, actually, I think it was more like sob! It’s been so long since a book has really caused such an emotional response in me.
Amo Jones has always given me books that mess with my head and really make me think. She went over and above with Malum. The way she creates her stories… the way she puts her words together… she creates a story that makes you feel it deep in your core. It feels real. I felt pain in my heart for Tillie and Nate. This is a story hidden in layer and layers of secrets and deceit… things you thought you knew. Amo Jones is a masterful word weaver… a story so consorted I needed a few days to process.
I’d also recommend you read the other books in the Elite King series. We get to know these characters a bit across several books. Believe me, you won’t regret a single word written from the mind of Amo Jones.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
**ARC REVIEW**
So Many Secrets! So Many Assholes! Damn it Nate you wanna love him and choke him all at the same time!!!
There’s so much going on, I don’t even know where to start! Amo has me hooked now!
Telli is going through a difficult time in her life. Secrets and tragedy are taking over. She needs to unravel everything that is happening right in front of her eyes, before it’s too late.
Nate is running the show and hiding more secrets. His main goal keep Telli busy she must never discover the truth OR must she….
It’s such a game of cat and mouse!!! it’s insane!
Nate and Tillie were both volatile and such a surprise. The dark romance between them was epic. I couldn’t believe the bomb that was dropped in the story. Whew, what a story and I still don’t know how I feel about all of it. Awesome read.
WOW! Well this was the first book I read by Amo Jones, and well few authors has ever left me in this state. I can’t believe what I just read in a very great way. What a brutal story, with all kinds of twists, heart ache and torment. I think I will need a few days or weeks to process it all, but this is fantastic! I am so reading the other books. Nate and Tillie are a couple I will never forget, the trigger warning at the beginning got me more curious than ever, now I know why and well even though it wasn’t my normal reading, I think I just became a fan. I am so reading part 2 but in the meanwhile will be reading the previous books. Kudos to Amo Jones she is such a refreshing story teller.
“Emotions. Human emotions, to be exact, can be rather annoying to come to terms with.”
Amo Jones delivers an emotional, twisted and darker story than I was even expecting from her. I couldn’t stay away from this book nor could I put it down. Malum (Part I) exceeded any expectation that I had set and went far beyond what I could have ever imagined.
This book is pure genius, madness, and darkness all rolled into one. I have more questions than answers, I feel like I have been put through an emotional ringer, and my heart is completely torn in two. There is no doubt, this book will make you feel all sorts of emotions, which is why I chose the quote above to highlight.
Nate and Tillie are a sort of modern, f’d up Romeo and Juliet in my opinion. They shouldn’t be together. It goes against everything, but they both can’t help it. I still am on the fence if I even want them together, but I also can recognize as much as they shouldn’t be together, they also should. They work. It works. In some messed up, underground, ELITE world- they work.
I read this book in about 2 hours and I want to go back and re-read it (which never happens). I am absolutely dying for book 2 and I cannot wait until it gets here. I need more and I need it now. If you enjoyed the Bishop and Madison’s story, then the continuation of this world will be perfect for you. Completely mind blowing and a full 5 + stars from me!
How do you even begin to review a book that f*cked your head and your heart so hard?
I seriously don’t even know where to begin. This book f*cked me over royally and now I’m just sitting here, sifting in my emotions, feeling numb, heartbroken and confused AF.
Amo Jones I give you major props for taking the Elite King series down a path I never would have seen coming. This series just gets more and more twisted the more you write, but no matter how much you rattle my emotions and make my heart bleed, I will never stop reading this series. I am addicted and need everything you have to give when it comes to the Elite King’s, so bring it, I am more than ready for Malum: Part 2.
What I wasn’t ready for was Nate. I thought I knew him so well but I was wrong. Underneath the sweet, sexy and oh so charming Nate I grew to love in the first three books in the Elite King’s series was a cold, calculating monster who has no problem disconnecting himself from his emotions if the need arises. It was scary getting to see this side of him I didn’t know, but no matter how dark he went, I never could get enough of him. He both scared and exhilarated me just like his gorgeous, pink-haired counterpart, Tillie, who he loved to hate and hated to love.
Some of the greatest love stories start off with hate and that hate eventually morphs into love and Nate and Tillie were no exception to this. Or so I thought.
Their story started off sweet when they first got together in the series but all good things must come to and end and when they did, every pure and sweet thing Nate felt for Tillie turned to hate and their relationship quickly became rocky and just when you think things aren’t going to get better they do. At least they did until Amo Jones stepped in and pulled the rug out from under my feet and made me realize their is no such thing as fairytales in the world of the Elite King’s. In their world, everything is dark and sinister just like them.
No one gets into their world if they don’t want you there. Tillie is no exception to this and is only accepted into their world because Nate wants her there but one thing you must understand about their world is that nothing is black and white. I learned that very quickly.
Once you step into the world of the Elite King’s you may never come out, so beware and proceed with caution.
Nothing is as it seems down here but I wouldn’t change it for the world, and I promise you that when you fall down the rabbit hole of the Elite King’s, you won’t want to leave either, so come join us on the dark side where the men are cold and calculating but can burn you from the inside out with just one look.
Join us. I dare you.
If you haven’t already noticed, I am obsessed with this series and give this effin’ amazing story 5 stars as big as Nate’s ego! Malum: Part 2 can’t get here soon enough. *goes to stalk Amo Jones* I need more Nate in my life. #SORRYNOTSORRY

Malum: Part 1 is the fourth book in the Elite Kings Club series by author Amo Jones. This was the first book in the series that I have read, and I have to admit, I was a little confused. Overall, I was able to follow the storyline, but I didn’t understand the backstories. Therefore, I highly recommend starting the series from the beginning. I am planning on reading the first three books then going back to reread Malum: Part 1.
I have a weakness for dark stories, I guess it’s a bad boy thing. But you need to be aware that I wouldn’t necessarily call this book a romance. Also, there are many triggers within, and I strongly suggest that you read the author’s introduction at the beginning of the story.
Malum: Part 1 is heartbreaking, emotional, and utterly captivating. I was on the edge of my seat, trying desperately to hold on through all of the twists and turns. Let me tell you, the cliffhanger almost did me in! I’m not sure I’ll be able to wait for the next book! Thankfully, Part 2 is expected to be released in June 2019.
This is a definite add to your TBR list!

This author is known for dark, realistic, hard to bare books. This installment of the Elite Kings was a total game changer, for both the author and the series.
Madison and Bishop are still embroiled in a love affair full of love and hate, but that’s not who this one is about. Oh no! Tallie and Nate get their chance to live in hell. If you’ve read the previous books you’ll know where they found themselves in Tacet a Mortuis
‘I lick my lips and smirk. “Tille is the opposite of Madison when it comes to fear. Madison cowers, gets scared and does a bunch of dumb **** that would have gotten any other girl murdered on the spot.”
Brantley turns his attention to me. “And what does Tillie do?”
We all witnessed how broken they are before. But for Nate, that broken far surpasses everybody else….well, other than Tillie but considering her parentage that goes without saying.
‘Pain exists everywhere though. It always has. At six years old, I knew that my life would be filled with nothing but pain.’
Love and hate intersect and combine like conjoined twins. Where one begins and the other ends, nobody can tell. Chess pieces litter the battleground like fallen soldiers. Who really is the master puppeteer is one of the so many questions thrown at you.
This book starts with a trigger warning. As the author states herself, her name is usually a trigger warning in and of itself. However, the depth of the depravity knows no limits. Triggers don’t often get to me. But this one? This one actually had been putting the book down and walking away to breathe. I just couldn’t put myself through it anymore, I cried so hard. I had to feel normal for a few minutes. I still finished reading, how could I not? These people have become something for me that I could be fooled into believing it was all real. The entire scene was hard-hitting and emotional.
‘I think to myself about the irony of that line. For I too, know of a place similar to Oz…’
You wouldn’t be remiss in forgetting the ages of these characters. Most of them aren’t old enough to “legally” drink. They exist in a world filled with monsters and evil. I truly believe because of all this explains why they live their lives on the more hardcore side. They live hard and fight harder for what they believe in.
‘I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, I was raised by blood sodden knives, and girls like me, we learn to use them as weapons. Love shouldn’t be offered up as a gift to just anybody. It should be preserved and used as a weapon to protect our heart.’
Tillie and Nate are so very much made for one other. But just how much can these two go through and put each other through before they lose the battle and just surrender to it all? Their relationship is raw and without limits. They bounce off so hard and fast they spin away and out of control, only they always come crashing back together. Both of them know what buttons to press and they are often corrosive and highly flammable. How could I as a reader loathe Nate so much for his actions and yet still care about his welfare? Messed up book, messed up reader. Clearly!
This isn’t a book about flowers and hearts. This book has a trigger warning for a very good reason. These characters indulge in many different vices, nothing is polished or glossed over. They are as human as humans can be. They hurt, they maim, they can and do commit murder. I will continue to root for them all because of what they mean to me.
Thank you, Ms. Jones, for once again messing with my head. It’s always a wild ride.
I don’t know what to say. I think I’ve been hypnotized, I’m stunned, in shock. My mind is turning…. what did I just read? A freaking fantastic book that’s what! It’s gritty, a total mind blowing experience.
These characters, there is no way to explain what they do to you. You will fall deeply in love with them and hang on to everything they do. Nate and Tillie are the extreme, they love, they hate and the hurt. The second book can not get here fast enough. I think I’m going back again and doing a re-read right now. That’s how in love and frankly freaked out that I am. Exceptional read!

I don’t know what to say. I think I’ve been hypnotized, I’m stunned, in shock. My mind is turning…. what did I just read? A freaking fantastic book that’s what! It’s gritty, a total mind blowing experience.

Holy smokes, this book was fantastic! Every time I get my hands on a Amo Jones book, I know I will be taken on one hell of an insane ride. You just never know what to expect and I love that. Her work is so sexy, dark and twisted. Just like I like it.
I absolutely loved Nate in the previous three books. He is my favorite of all of the Elite Kings. The playboy of the group who doesn’t do love or relationships. But all of that changes when Tillie walks into his life. There is a strong magnetic pull between these two and he just can’t seem to stay away. Their relationship is so sweet and swoon-worthy. In this book though, he discovers that she is keeping secrets from him. Trying to uncover the truth of her plans, he quickly becomes a scary and volatile beast. What follows is complete and utter chaos and I could not turn the pages fast enough.
Malum is emotionally gripping and absolutely phenomenal! A true masterpiece that is brilliantly crafted, fast paced and told in a dual point of view. This one really put my heart through the ringer and I’m not sure that I will ever be the same. Hold on to your hat because you are in for one wild and crazy ride.
You ain’t ready for this! Ain’t NOBODY ready for all that goes down in this m*ther bleeping book!
WHAT DID I JUST READ?!?!
This story went to places I did NOT expect! I. Feel. RAW. I am emotionally and mentally drained! I didn’t sleep much last night (heck I haven’t slept the last couple nights because I’ve been lost within this mind blowing world). My mind is a kaleidoscope of endless questions! This book has my mind, body and f*cking SOUL destroyed Amo what have u done to me??? I’m at a complete loss right now. I literally have lost an entire day chatting with book friends theorizing over this book! I have PAGES of notes saved and none of them are feeling helpful right now. I NEED ANSWERS! THIS is what Amo does to me, leaves me ripped open and fleshed out, but yet I come back begging for more pain! I’ll just direct my therapy bills to Amo from now on…LMAO! PLEASE tell me you’re going to put me back together when this is done, Amo I just keep reminding myself of this quote from THE BROKEN PUPPET: “Because being broken is how you’re going to survive this life, Madison.” I will survive this series, I just might not look the same in the end
This is the type of book (series) that is forever ETCHED into your soul, BURNED into your brain, and utterly IMPOSSIBLE to walk away from unscathed. You really have to expect the unexpected with Amo. If you’re looking for a mindf*ck story, then MALUM will f*ck you three ways to Sunday. This book has left me six feet under and I can NOT wait to drag myself out in MALUM part 2.
Personal note: MALUM is marked as a standalone (and Amo wrote it as such), but I HIGHLY advise that u read the first 3 books in this series to get the FULL effect of this world. I feel if u don’t read THE SILVER SWAN, THE BROKEN PUPPET, and TACET A MORTUIS u will miss out on building a deeper understanding, a deeper “relationship” with these characters and this phenomenal world. U NEED to come into this book with ALL those emotions that were built from reading the first 3 books…. trust me!
“I wasn’t raised with a silver spoon, I was raised with blood sodden knives, and girls like me, we learn to use them as weapons. Love shouldn’t be offered up as a gift to just anybody, it should be preserved and used as a weapon to protect our heart.” -Tillie
Be warned, there is a trigger warning in the beginning of this book and Amo does a phenomenal job of leaving breadcrumbs leading up to it, to warn you. So PLEASE just read the warning right in the beginning of the book.
5 stars
Malum: Part 1 is the continuation of the Elite Kings Club series .
ARE YOU GUYS READY YET?
Well, I thought I was..
We all know that the name Amo Jones is a warning in and on itself. She writes no sissy and lame characters. Her books are all intense and in different shade of fcuked-up and insane on its own. But like a moth to a flame, we all crave that side of her writing. We always, always ask for more of this from her.
I crave the darkness, the mindfcuks, and the raw intensity of this series. The deeper we get into this book, into this world, the more I get invested. It’s like I’m getting drowned into an abyss. I know it and yet, i wouldn’t come up for air no matter what.
Malum: Part 1 was such a heartbreaking, twisted and sinister and no fairy tale. The writing was fantastic. Great world building with great character(s) growth/development. Climactic more so especially when the plot thickens. The secondary characters contributed a lot as well in the story. All these things were wrapped up in this book and offered to us, readers, to sink ourselves more into the hole that is called #NateMadness. I’m pretty sure somewhere out there, no matter what timezone it may be, Amo Jones is sipping wine and cackling while Gasoline by Halsey is pumping hard in the background. Probably on surround sound and all that.
To avoid spoilers, I have to be vague about this review. All I can guarantee you is that this series, this book is more than just Amo’s words. She created a world where lies, abuse and mind-games exist. No safe space, no boundaries. This book gutted me, more than my ex ever did. I was cut down into raw emotions and my heart was hacked into unimaginable pieces. I do highly recommend reading this book but be sure to have something to punch near you. Throat-punching inducing story requires that!

Gah!!! When Amo Jones drops on my kindle I know for a fact I’m in for a mindeff of epic proportions. That is exactly what she delivered with Malum. Nate and Tillie were deliciously dark, volatile and explosive romance #goals! I absolutely loved the intrigue, mystery and the mother of all bombs that was dropped. You never knew what was going to happen next which perfectly describes an Amo Jones novel to a T – she never pulls her punches and is one step ahead of the game with a knockout story.
Without giving away any spoilers, Malum continues the shocking storyline from the previous Elite Kings books but this time it is months later and Tillie is back with secrets galore. But she underestimated Nate’s mission and determination to uncover her secrets threatening the Kings. But when his monster is unleashed, no one could anticipate the devastating consequences and what is coming for them all.
OMG this story was absolutely phenomenal. It was raw, intense, erotic and so damn emotional. There was no denying the chemistry and pull between Tillie and Nate. She brings out his crazy and the dark side in him that people rarely see. Without her in his life he is a powerful Elite King, but with her he is a beast with a demon inside him with an unparalleled darkness. She, likewise, is his perfect match as she is the only woman that can bring his animal to heel and the woman he would burn the whole world down for.
Overall, this story was twisted, emotional, riveting and consuming. Jones is an amazing storyteller who is a breath of fresh air as her stories are ALWAYS unique and compelling. I smirked, I cried and I raged as Malum took me across a wide gamut of emotions. This book is already one of the best books I’ve read this year as there were so many shocking moments that left me irrevocably changed. She proves time and time again that her words are a gift and we are lucky beneficiaries every time she releases a new story. Bravo! 6 stars! ~Ratula
