“Love is savage, love is blind, love is something they may not find…”Once upon a time, there was a young girl who lived in a battered trailer, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. One day, she fell down The Elite Kings’ rabbit hole. Sucked into a dark vortex of lies, hate, and deceit, and spat out by money, glitz, and power. There were things this little girl didn’t know, things she was about … know, things she was about to find out and secrets that have been kept from her. Those secrets were guarded by the boys that were about to smash her world open and tear it all apart…
He may be a Malum, but she is a Stuprum, born into this world but neglected by the choice of her mother. Her eyes may not glisten with stars, but they roar with fire, and when she finally reaches her peak, it’s that same fire that will burn.
Them.
All.
Down.
My name is Tillie Stuprum, and my story is not like the rest.
Everything she thought she knew is a fabricated version of the truth. I’m Nate Riverside-Malum, the one your girl whispers about to her friends and whose initials are scratched into your back. Her story is not like the rest of them, because her story is dead.

“You find three types of love in your lifetime. The first will show you all that you did wrong. The second will show you how you should be loved, but the third will show you what it feels like to die while still being alive.”
Welcome to a world where nothing is what it seems, where truths and lies mix, where the face of evil may be smiling at you and where there is definitely no trust. Tillie and Nate are in the middle of this storm.
Fourth book of the Elite Kings Club series, Malum presents a toxic love story where there are no guilty and innocents. With a plot already being developed in the previous books (it is necessary to read the series for a good understanding, everything is connected) Tillie returns asking for help, because her daughter is being kept captive. We then have a Nate more dangerous, indomitable and uncontrolled than before, and recovering and protecting Micaela will be his goal.
Blending fantasy with reality, the book blends folklore, ancient legends, and a certain mystical tone in describing Perdita’s world and alliances formed by the clans to govern it. All well hidden by the innocent facade of a college fraternity.
Tillie showed her strength during the book, and her desperation in the final part was heartbreaking. Nate aroused me contradictory reactions, at the same time as I glimpsed sweetness, his detestable, womanizing, and rude side put everything to waste. The two together are gasoline and match. And in the end both burned out.
The book ends with a cliffhanger to leave the reader anxious, which only confirms what has been said above: no one is what it appears.

Oh my goodness, I believe this book has just about struck me speechless! What was that?? How could she do that to us??? She may as well have just ripped my heart out and stomped on it! I am broken hearted and dumbfounded! Poor Tillie!! I can’t even put it into words how I feel right now, all I can say is you have to read this series! Each book gets more and more intense, and leaves you shocked and saying oh no, she didn’t!! I loved it… go buy the book and read it! Now I need the next one…
I can’t even describe what this book did to me. I’m don’t cry when it comes to books but this one got to me. My mind is completely blown. Nate & Tillie’s story will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. This book is…I can’t even form words to describe it. I love it! I can’t wait for part 2!
Every drop of Malum is an exquisite blend of pleasure and pain!
This book tossed me up and down on Amo’s turbulent, storm tossed waters from page one.
I wasn’t prepared for the level of emotion Amo Jones wrung out of me in Malum!! From anger to sheer terror, the most powerful love to the hottest lust, and a kind of grief many people never experience.
There are so many twists and turns throughout this amazing story. Are the Elite Kings good guys, or are they bad guys determined to tighten the controls to the compound by force if necessary? Or are they making the next generation’s life just a little simpler?
A phenomenally dark and twisted journey through Amo Jones beautifully crafted world with Nate and Tillie. I would give it ten stars if I could, definitely in my top t of 2019!!
Amo has easily become one of my favorite authors, I love her style of writing and her darkness. Malum was such a great book which was funny, dark, heartbreaking and twisted which is what I’ve become accustomed to with her writing. I loved every minute of it.
I have loved each of the books in the Elite Kings series but I have to say I think this one had me in such emtional turmoil that I am not sure how to go on to the next one.
Amo has outdone herself with this one and you can feel it when you read Tillie’s story. Nate seemed and acted more of the Asshole King he was supposed to be. Then he comes across as the loving father who would do anything to protect what was his. Then the worst happens and he is back to the cruel MF everyone is afraid of.
If you have read any of Amo’s books you understand her writing and have fallen in love with her characters from the beginning. This one will take it up a notch and really test your emotions to no end.
I can’t wait for part 2 and again be prepared as this is in true Amo fashion but for me it was more gut wrenching than I have read from her before.
Is it bad to say I was on Nate’s side more than Tillie’s side? Don’t get me wrong. I loved the girl. I would chill with her on any day of the week. She was such a strong individual who played hard and loved fiercely. I guess the same can be said about Nate Riverside-Malum. Oh I Is it bad to say I was on Nate’s side more than Tillie’s side? Don’t get me wrong. I loved the girl. I would chill with her on any day of the week. She was such a strong individual who played hard and loved fiercely. I guess the same can be said about Nate Riverside-Malum. Oh I loved being inside Nate’s mind. He was dangerous, sexy, and somewhat dark. I wanted to slap him one minute but then have a little fun the next minute. My mind, probably like Tillie’s, was all over the damn place with him.
Besides the regular drama that could be easily seen, there was a whole lot of other moving parts in the background. I was trying to keep every straight and keep up… But for real, have you ever tried to keep up with a King? I loved how this story centered around Nate and Tillie. But the other Kings as well as Madison and Tate had their roles. The ending… The ending… Left me saying, “No she didn’t?!?” The author threw me and I’m worried about the fallout.
Like what did I Just read…. Amo Jones is the queen of mindfuck, that’s for sure. I thought I was prepared for this story but oh my lord I wasn’t. We see more of the Elite but this time it’s Nate and Tillies story and let’s just say it’s a huge emotional ride. I want answers, no scratch that I need the answers!!!! Nate is this possessive asshole but knows what belongs to him… I need him lol..
Can’t wait for part 2 that’s for sure!!!
One legacy.
Multiple lives involved.
A lifetime of consequences.
Nate Riverside-Malum vs Tillie Stuprum.
Who will come out as victor?
Who’ll be left standing after the game reached its crescendo?
The Elite Kings series is an intricate woven web of tales where nothing and no one is what they seem.
Malum part one is book four and is so much more.
Whereas Bishop is quietly intense, Nate for me wears his heart on a sleeve yet shows his raw and true side but only and only when it comes to his true loves.
Content? You ain’t seen nothing yet!
Even though I saw and felt some stuff that was going to happen fairly soon (for me) it still felt like a brick to my heart and soul.
You’ll be craving more and be utterly destroyed….
… but you’ll enjoy every second of this ride.
Well, I’m at a loss. I finished this book over a week and ago and have barely wrapped my head around all the WtF just happened moments. It’s gut wrenching, angsty, sexy, and everything you thought you knew or predicted. You didn’t.
This books is on another level than I’ve ever seen from Amo, and I’m a huge fan HUGE. I love all her stuff but this, this takes the cake… so far.
I highly recommend it’s an incredible book!

This book is everything I wanted to see from the Kings! After reading “Malum”, Nate became my favorite King! We see bits of his relationship with Tillie in the previous books, but I really needed a book just for them!
Nate’s feelings for Tillie are deep and that’s the reason he reacts so intense when he sees her again. He’s hurt and tries to act cruel and cold, but at times his feelings resurface and he’s getting softer. He feels that he can’t trust her and with good reason. The fact that Bishop is once again two steps forward is kind of creepy! Tillie is not one to play his games. Her rough childhood hardened her against these situations and she pushes back, and that makes him even angrier. The second half of the book is a total mind-fuck! Too many things are going on, secrets are being unveiled, and people that were supposed to be dead resurface! The cliffhanger at the end messed with my mind and I so need the next part like now!!!
This story is like vortex, it sucked me in, spun me around and around and then spat me out with my emotions and feeling all over the place.
I have a girl crush on Tillie after reading this book. She is one strong woman with a badass, no nonsense attitude. She gave Nate Riverside-Malum a run for his money.
Nate on the other hand is a loose canon who thrives on the power that being a King can give. His words are harsh and cut deep to the bone but Tillie was there taking everything and more that he dished out. The mind games were a plenty and were in true Elite King style.
Ms Jones has bought to life many unique, awesome and one of a kind characters. I am loving hard on everything that is The Elite Kings and I just can’t seem to get enough of ALL the characters. I’m super excfor the next instalment and I will be keeping my fingers crossed that we get a story from each of the Kings
I was at war with this book because ever since I met Nate, I couldn’t figure out if I liked or hated him. But I was so very curious for his story because I was sure that it would be a promising one.
Well, turns out my hopes were set too high because although Nate was intriguing in Madison’s books no matter his douchiness, he was part of the reasons that ruined this book for me. I mean, there are a*holes. and there are a*holes, he was the biggest of them all. He was so over the top cruel, disrespectful, crass and so very rude, I hated him more than I liked his character. His cruelness knew no boundaries and his hate no limit. He despised Tillie so much and he was just too hostile for my kind of man. If you dig such animosity between characters, you will probably like this book more than me.
What bothered me most was that I didn’t see that he even cared for her a little bit. At times he wanted her close and I just never understood his mood changes. Talk about contradictory character. If he at least apologized to her or made up for how awful he was, but no, his behavior towards her was just mean and she always forgot what he did to her seconds later and still loved him. That’s fucked up love and not what I was hoping for.
I didn’t like the constant and rather ridiculously annoying back and forth between Tillie and Nate for the majority of the story. I wanted to know how the story continued that started in Madison’s books but there wasn’t much of the mystery left that was going on in hers. So, I missed having more to the story than just the constant hostility between the characters, or rather his hostility towards her. I also never liked those idiotic games the Kings played, and that wasn’t any different here because they just made no sense to me.
And please someone tell me how Tillie could still love and want him after all that he’d said and done to her!? Alone his bossing her around and cussing her out had my blood boiling. I would have sent him straight to hell had I been her. She seemed like a strong character but she obviously had no control when it came to him, because he played her like a puppet.
Since this wasn’t my first book by this author I knew she wrote twisted stories but I just didn’t see any purpose of this story or what was even going on until almost halfway at the end of it. Maybe I just missed the point of it all that leaded up to it.
I don’t say that this was a bad book but there were just a lot of things that I personally did not like. I also think the real story picked up around 75% and that’s when it got interesting. The cliffhanger ending has me impatiently awaiting the next book although I really hope that the story doesn’t lose its pace from the last few chapters of this book. I couldn’t handle going through the same motions again as with this one.
Not sure if mere words can express how much I loved Malum. A bit dark, twisted, and mindboggling Malum had me hooked and hanging on every word. My head was spinning as I tried to figure out if things were what they appeared. I love when a book keeps me guessing and constantly on the edge of my seat like I was while devouring Malum.
Both Nate and Tillie were complex, volatile, damaged yet vulnerable. There is so much more than meets the eye to them and the more I learned about them the more they held me spellbound. These two took me on a wild ride that left me wanting to smack both of them at different times and later had me trying to read as tears ran down my face.
Nothing is ever what it seems in the world of the Elite Kings as the twists I didn’t see coming in Malum proved. I still need more of Tillie and Nate as soon as possible and can’t wait for what’s to come in the next book. Maybe by then my head won’t still be reeling and my emotions will have recovered from the tailspin they went into while reading Malum.
Having read almost everything this author has written. I have to say this is one of my favorites. I was like on pins and needles waiting for this book to get to me. Once it did I devoured it. It wasn’t cute either. This whole book you are in a love hate relationship with the main characters. You’re not even sure if you want them to be together. But then the author pulls something out of left field and just grabs you by the cojones and you can’t help but to want them together. So many ups and downs/twists and turns. I cannot wait for books two.
I feel like my heart was torn from my chest. This author gives you a trigger warning but nothing can prepare the reader for the curve and tests of the elite Kings and the games they throw at you. The veil has been lifted. It’s insanely brilliant and nightmarishly good!
I usually don’t read books like this, but this one sucked me right in at the third chapter, and didn’t not let go till the end. I need book two like now, hahaha. I don’t even know where to start my review, there is so much that happens in this book that I would love for the reader to experience it like I did. Tillie is in one complicated mess, a mess between worlds, a mess between love hate and friendship. A must read forsure!
I don’t even know where to start with this review.
I devoured this book. Ate it the f*** up. Could NOT put it down. And now that I’ve finished reading.. I don’t know what to do. I’m not 100% sure how I’m feeling because I’m feeling SO many emotions all at once from this book! I laughed. I cried. I had wtf moments. I loved every second of this rollercoaster and I need part two asap!!!
Tillie is a bada**. Nate is just a f***ing a**hole that you just can’t help but love. Because d*** is he sexy!!
Also need to add, the amount of Brantley we see in this book made my heart oh so happy and I can NOT wait for his book. 😉
Holy WTF did I just read? Once again Amo Jones leaves you wondering and wanting more. My mind is flipping blown beyond belief. I love this woman’s dark writing. She left me wondering every damn chapter.
This book focuses on Tillie and Nate and their screwed up relationship or whatever you want to call it. My head is completely spinning in a 360 over this book. Amo hit some seriously dark deep down craziness with this book.

OH. MY. GOODNESS.
HOLY. HELL.
WHAT HAVE I READ?
Guys, this book totally ruined me.
This story ruined me so f-cking much.
I don’t know what I will do until the release of Malum – Part Two.
I don’t know what to do with myself.
Other than impatiently waiting for its release day.
I don’t know what to read next.
Amo, you’re the queen of cliffhangers. This book killed me.
I am dead.
Very dead.
THAT ENDING!!
I. NEED. ANSWERS. RIGHT. NOW. Thank you.
NATE OWNS ME.
Honestly, it is so hard to pick a favourite from The Elite Kings. I just can’t. Okay, maybe Nate. Sometimes I do not agree with him but I still love his face. 😀
My mind is blown.
Scratch that.
I am mindfucked.
Why? Let’s see.
PS.: I love Brantley too. And all the Kings. 😀
Another PS.: Those covers are still freaking gorgeous.
“How many times in one lifetime do they say you find a soulmate? Is it once? Twice? Three times? (…) The quote scribbled on a rusty piece of paper read: You find three types of love in your lifetime. The first will show you all that you did wrong. The second will show you how you should be loved, but the third one will show you what it feels like to die while still being alive.”
To be honest, it is really hard to talk about the plot without any major spoilers. So maybe, I will just mostly focus on the characters and the beginning of their relationship.
This book CAN be read as a standalone, however, I personally recommend you to start with the first one, The Silver Swan. This one, The Broken Puppet and Tacet a Mortuis focus on a different couple (Madison&Bishop), but trust me, you wanna read those books too. Make sure that you don’t have to do anything really important that day when you start reading this series, because you won’t be able to put it down until you read the very last line. I mean the very last line in Malum. Which is the fourth book. Yeah, this series is absolutely addictive, and I am addicted to it.
