In MAKING YOU MINE…
Knox Bentley never liked the pomp and circumstance that came with being wealthy. He’d distanced himself from his pretentious family and their fortune as a young adult and found his own path to success. But even with the world at his fingertips, he realizes something is missing, and after a long stay overseas, he finally knows exactly what it is. His no-strings-attached hookups with Aubrey Stewart, an exquisite and stubbornly independent blonde, are no longer enough for him. They connect on every level, but Aubrey is a fierce businesswoman with a new movie channel on the horizon and no time for much else. She is the deal he can’t close, the precious jewel even his billions can’t buy. Now that he’s back in the States, he’s determined to show her that what they have goes beyond the bedroom and finally make her his.
Love in Bloom novels feature alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They’re flawed, funny, passionate, and relatable to readers who enjoy contemporary romance and women’s fiction. For avid readers of the Love in Bloom series, you may have met sexy and hilarious Knox Bentley, Graham Braden’s business partner, in Trails of Love, and Aubrey Stewart, one of the badass billionaire founders of the Ladies Who Write (LWW), in Anything for Love.

Making You Mine by Melissa Foster is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke.
I absolutely love Melissa’s books! They always leave you with a smile. You can’t help but fall in love with Knox and Aubrey. I can’t wait to read more books from The Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls Series. I love that each book can be read as a standalone.
Andi and Jason did an amazing job on the narration. I can’t wait to listen to more of their projects in the future.

Such a sweet romance. This relationship definitely was not planned and just snuck up on both of them and it was so fun to watch when it dawned on both of them that they were indeed a couple. The ending was just perfect and let’s us know there will be more to come with this group of characters.
Melissa Foster has written another story for the ages and I greatly enjoyed my escape from every day issues . Knox and Aubrey’s story is romantic comedy at its best combined with great romance. Knox has finally recognized the Aubrey is the one for him but she takes a little convincing that she can still be the high achieving, strong woman that she is and still share a life with a man who will support her. Meeting both Knox’s and Aubrey’s family is filled with laugh out loud moments. As with all her books this a standalone romance but is greatly enhanced with the reading of the other books. I appreciate that Melissa gives us on some glimpses of the characters from previous books as they feel like family and it’s always nice to catch up with family
Making You Mine: Knox and Aubrey
The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls, Book 5
By: Melissa Foster
Narrated by: Andi Arndt, Jason Clarke
There is something to be said when you listen to a book and you just fall into the story. When I started it, I immediately fell for this couple. I knew they started out as a physical attraction, hooking up, but as I got to know Knox and Aubrey, I was just hoping it would turn into more…just like Knox did. Their chemistry is off the charts, but is it enough to turn into a relationship? Knox is such a guy. He knows what he wants and is going after it full force. He is so giving to all he loves and it’s impossible not to love him, even with his flaws. Aubrey is amazing. Smart, beautiful and just not quite there. You just want to push her! But there is a lot more to this than meets the eye. Foster factors in so many things, jobs, family, relationships, it’s all there interfering with life, realistic and true. I love this couple, may be my favorite of all so far in the Melissa Foster family.
Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke are a dream team, and they bring it for this narration. They compliment each other so well, and find the niche of their characters so they are believable. I loved their performance.

It’s no secret that I love a Melissa Foster story, and each one I think is my favourite but in essence they all are. Making You Mine was no different, though the story was slightly different than the other books – whilst most heavily feature family this one was more about just Knox and Aubrey making you focus more on the just the two of them and their amazing chemistry. We do get some time with Knox’s family and a little time with Aubrey’s introducing some great character’s which knowing Melissa we will be getting their stories at some point and I am already excited at that prospect!
Aubrey is so focused on securing a property for her best friend Charlotte who’s book is being made into a movie, Knox has a shoe-in with the owners of the beautiful Monroe Inn and when he gets her a meeting little did she know that the shoe-in was in fact a major one – Knox’s family owns the inn!! But just because they own it, its not as easy to secure it for filming, his brother Landon had some insane media presences following a celebrity shock engagement. Understandably Landon doesn’t want the same thing to happen again but will consider Aubrey’s offer.
Knox and Aubrey are so alike and so perfect that Knox has realised that she is the one for him and after two years of hooking up and having the intense feelings and chemistry that they do he nudges Aubrey into the idea of dating. So when they get essentially snowed in at the Monroe Inn, making this setting magical, you really see how they two of them open up to each other and you see Aubrey break down her walls piece by piece.
This story will warm you up on even the coldest of days and this will make a great valentine read! Making You Mine is a sinful, sexy and flaming hot read set in a magical winter wonderland.
5 stars
Confession time: MAKING YOU MINE is my first-ever read by author Melissa Foster. That being said, Knox’s and Aubrey’s story is a fun, sexy, upbeat read that focuses, as I suspect Melissa’s other books do, on family, friends, and being true to one’s heart, and was just a great addition to my TBR.
What I enjoyed most about this book is the way that Knox and Aubrey smooth out the rough edges in each other’s lives. It’s not so much about change as it is helping each other to see how having each other makes all the other parts come together so nicely. Knox is able to help Aubrey realize that all work and no play leaves her a less-than-happy lady, and Aubrey’s close relationship with her family helps Knox to make changes in how he sees and approaches his own.
Melissa has written a lot of books, and plenty of characters from other stories are present in MAKING YOU MINE. While it’s nice getting to know stories and folks from the other books, I didn’t feel like I was missing out by picking up with Knox and Aubrey. I do feel, though, like I want to go back and catch up, because this book was so enjoyable to read.
The wrap-up to MAKING YOU MINE is the perfect segué to upcoming books, and definitely make me want to come back for a visit. An easy 4 stars, this book is the perfect combination of sweet, sassy, sexy, and HEA, and I look forward to getting to know many more of the characters in Melissa’s worlds.
This is such a good book!!
Everything you want in a true romance.
I truly enjoyed reading it from the first pages to the last. It’s a captivating, moving, steamy
& romantic story.
Knox & Aubrey, have known each
other a couple years. When they see
one another, they would spend the night
together. Work has always been their first priority. But when the heart wants what the heart wants…
It was great catching up with other characters we love!
You will simply love Knox Aubrey!
This one starts out hot and it only gets better from there!
Aubrey and Knox have spectacular chemistry, and everything about them just makes you fall. Their witty banter, their respect for one another and the lives they have built, and their friends and family, all of it is just wonderful. So amazing to read a book where the hero loves and respects the heroine for her strength and success.
In a way that only Melissa Foster can, this book is cute, smart, witty and so incredibly swoony. It’s a must read for anyone who is looking for something fun, filled with love and happiness and of course, the HEA.

Making You Mine was the fifth book in the Braden’s and Montgomery’s Pleasant Hill – Oak Fall series by Melissa Foster. It was also one in a long line of the Love In Bloom series.
Knox Bentley was a Billionaire. He was the business partner to Graham Braden (Trails of Love, book three). He was a known work-a-holic and sought after bachelor with no intent of changing his status anytime soon.
Aubrey Stewart was an author co-founder of LWW Enterprises (Ladies Who Write). She was the long time best friend to Charlotte (Anything for Love, book two). Like Knox, she was also a work-a-holic with an aversion to relationships. Her sole focus was her company, her best friends and her independence.
Met both previously interspersed throughout the series. Knox and Aubrey were a long time regular hook up but adamantly denied anything beyond friends. Until Knox realized what they had. Foster then unraveled the push and pull of Audrey’s denial and Knox’s determined pursuit. She built the plot around both families and their drama, introducing us to a slew of siblings for more great books in the future.
True to Foster’s style, Making You Mine was well written and well developed mixed in with humor, real life situations, loyalty, and awesome secondary characters adding depth and dimension to the storyline. And although we got a glimpse into Landon’s true love, I hope we’ll get his full story as well. In the meantime, Zee and Carly are next with a second chance in Searching For Love. Bring it on!
I absolutely loved the collision of worlds of these two high powered business owners. They often “see” each other at various charity events but something has changed between them. Knox wants MORE! Aubrey is so focused on the continued success of her business she has no room for relationships. Knox and Aubrey come from very different backgrounds. Melissa Foster’s writing Is excellent as always and I felt I was seeing old friends again. The relationships among many of the various characters was so much fun to read. I loved this book and can’t wait for more. Definitely a must read.
Wow!
No one does love stories like Melissa Foster.
Knox Bentley is an absolute dream and Aubrey Stewart is a role model for women everywhere when it comes to success; she just needs a little help in the happiness and love department. Luckily, Knox is up for the challenge and doesn’t give up easily.
Another amazing story that I couldn’t put down and I can’t wait for the next one.
Knox and Aubrey. One of the things I love about this book is the flipping of who is after who. Normally, we find the woman who chases the man or waits for him to fall for her. What a nice flip.
Knox is rich but relatable. Aubrey is independent and business-minded. The hookups they’ve had over time is no longer enough for Knox. He wants more. And he has no issue showing and working towards the real thing. As the song goes, “Ain’t nothing like the real thing baby”.
What a great read, a good story that leaves you with all the feels.
Aubrey and Knox have been hooking up whenever they’re at the same event for a few years. Aubrey thinks this is simply chance. She is happy with her life. Her successful career. Her friends. She hasn’t thought about more.
Yet.
Except she hasn’t sought out any other male companionship. Knox has been the only one to occupy her thoughts.
And Knox considers them a couple, Aubrey just needs to decide she agrees with him on that.
We open on the morning after one of these chance encounters. Knox manages to get more and more commitment from Aubrey that day and over the coming days and weeks but at her speed.
She just has to realize he doesn’t want to keep her barefoot and pregnant. He loves her business side as much as he does her passionate one.
Fun, family, passion, friends, all the elements that make me love Melissa’s stories. We get to see the couples we’ve already seen reach their HEA, plus get to know the future stars in this bookiverse.
I feel all warm and happy after finishing this one. Knox is one fantastic book boyfriend. Sexy, confident, a touch cocky, loving, single minded, but not domineering. He knows what he wants but he doesn’t need to crush Aubrey. Instead he lets her decide where they’re headed on their HEA journey.
I Floved it!
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is the type of series where every book can be finished in one sitting which is exactly what I did, because I couldn’t wait to see how this all played out between Knox and Aubrey. Aubrey is relationship shy and very sweet it takes a lot to let her gaurd down and enjoy Knox to the fullest. Knocking down Aubrey’s walls seem like a big task but luckily Knox is up for the job. This book was romantic, steamy, funny, sweet and extremely enjoyable. I Loved catching up with past characters and getting a glimpse at future characters. Well worth an all nighter!!!
This book is amazingly romantic, steamy, funny and loving. I love Knox and Aubrey and their story is so sweet. This book is a must read and I enjoy reading it. I received an advance reader copy in exchange of my honest review.
Two very different people who come from two very different backgrounds have both made it big in the world. There is magnetism the first time they meet-but they go their separate ways. Knox took off to try and distance himself from Aubrey. She was positive that a relationship would interfere with her career—They keep bumping into each other and still are highly attracted!
Aubry is looking for the perfect venue for a movie she is creating–Knox offers to help–he doesn’t tell her that the place she has her heart set on is actually owned by his family!
Can Aubry get over her hangups and let love in to stay? Will Knox be able to help his brother? This is a book that is great for Valentine’s Day–and I will not say any more–you have to read it!!
Knox and Aubrey’s “hooks ups” result in combustible chemistry. Their upbringing couldn’t be more different. Melissa Foster carefully weaves a story about these two fiercely independent and successful people. Aubrey doesn’t thinks she is missing anything important in her life, her focus is on her business that she runs with her best friends and her family. Knox understands what he is missing and wants Aubrey’s heart. He accepts the challenge to win her heart, show her what she is missing, and convince her she can’t live without him too. I enjoyed learning about their families and traditions. It’s always fun to catch up with some of the other stories and see what is happening in there lives.
You will fall in love with Knox Bentley and Aubrey Stewart! Aubrey grew up always feeling like she needed to prove herself as an individual, and not just as the girl from the football family. And with a lot of hard work, she did just that. But she’s spent so many years focusing on her job and making something of herself that she hasn’t made time for relationships. Other than the 2 years that she’s spent having an casual affair with billionaire, Knox Bentley. Knox has done his best to get over Aubrey, but he can’t seem to do it. He’s decided to give it everything he’s got to try to win her over, and this time, Aubrey might not be able to say no.
Melissa Foster has created another great story with such amazing characters. Between Knox and Aubrey’s families, you can’t help but fall in love with them all! While this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
Making You Mine was a little different from the rest of Melissa’s books, I really enjoyed the fact that Aubrey and Knox didn’t have the instant-love story, instead, they were hooking-up for about two years and now its time to make a decision on what the next step is. Aubrey and Knox have amazing chemistry and loved everything about their story.
Though this is the 5th book in the Bradens & Montgomerys series, it most certainly can read as a standalone book. That being said, it will only be better if you read it in order 🙂 This is the story of Aubrey Stewart and Knox Bentley…if you’ve read any of the previous stories these names, as well as other characters mentioned in the book, will be familiar to the reader. We have met them before but now is the chance to know their true story. Aubrey and Knox have been hooking up on and off for the past two years and Knox has finally admitted to himself, and then to Aubrey, that he wants more than their on-again, off-again one night stands. He wants a real relationship and sets out to convince Aubrey they would be perfect together.
Their chemistry is unmistakable, sparks fly whenever they are remotely close to each other and they are both such likable characters you are immediately drawn into their story. Knox is a strong alpha male who has such a sweet and charming side and he continually is showing Aubrey that he has paid attention to everything about her in the years they have known each other. Aubrey is a powerful and independent business woman who is not looking for a serious relationship and starts out fighting Knox and his advancements at every corner.
He slowly chips away at her walls and as he goes out of his way to help her secure an absolutely perfect location for a movie her company is producing….she just might be willing to take the plunge. Their interactions are so, so good….you will be laughing and cheering and swooning as they begin to spend more time together. You will LOVE how this story ends!! Another not-to-be-missed Melissa Foster offering….if you’ve read her books before, you know you will not be disappointed. If you haven’t read anything by this fantastic author…RUN to your nearest bookstore or ebook site and get her book!!
