They say the truth shall set you free, but my truth will get us all killed.
He’s missing and I should have seen it coming.
No one is to be trusted.
Everyone has their own hidden agenda.
I must venture into Outlaw territory,
Risk exposing my secret,
All while being hunted by those I thought were my allies.
Trust is a commodity I can’t afford.

I loved how much Olivia has grown into a kiss-ass heroine. Though she wants anything but sainthood, she is determined to make the world they live in free and fair. As with the first two books, Isaura was action packed. There was never a dull moment. Olivia and Joshua’s relationship is one to envied.Through thick and thin they are forever looking out for each other’s best interest and their love ascends all time.
Olivia must find Joshua before Craynor can do him any harm. But Craynor isn’t the worst threat our there. Some else is after them and they must figure out why they are being hunted down and how to defeat that person before all they have achieved in the rebellion is lost. There is hope on the horizon if they can figure out what Isaura has done and replicate it in a safe manor. But Olivia may lose her hope of ever conceiving naturally when Isaura sends her in the mists of the danger that started the infertility generations ago.
This is book 3 of the series and I am still in love with this author and series. I am so glad I started this series it is a great read, I can not get enough of it . I have read these book 2 times each so far and this book is no different. I loved it very much.

Magic Forbidden is book 3 in the Aberrant series by Ruth Silver. This book picks up on the cliffhanger that book 2 left. Joshua has been abducted by the former mayor of Genesis. Craynor is now on the run and looking to hurt Olivia for what she has done. With the new changes that are being implemented in light of the uprising of the Rebels and the downfall of the original government, a new government is being put in place. This new government tells Olivia that she can pursue Craynor but that they will not force anyone to help her. So basically, she’s on her own finding her husband. But it won’t be long before bigger problems show up. The hunt is on to find Joshua, but something/someone else is hunting Olivia with their own agenda.
Now, I have to applaud the author on this book. I’m so thankful that for the most part we are allowed a break from Olivia’s bad attitude that was ever prevalent in the previous books. This story is just as engaging as the other books and kept me interested in the overall story. Another town is introduced and there are a few surprises as well. I like that in this book we get some explanations as to why certain things happened to some characters in the previous book. For me, this helps to fill in the gap as to why that happened to this character and not to her.
My issue with this book arises with the new villain. Where did this character come from? We learn that one of the characters is familiar with this new villain from a previous book. But we’re really in the dark. The villain character acts really familiar with Olivia and the others and vice versa. I’m shocked because I’m trying to piece where they ever interacted and it just doesn’t come to mind. There are still some jumps and gaps in the storyline that keep it all from meshing better and completely but this book is an improvement on the previous books.
I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I’m taking half a star for the villain situation. I just want it to make sense and right now it’s a plot point that has a huge hole as to where she came from and why. I need the plot holes to be filled in and there to be fewer jumps.

This picks up from where book 2 left off and is every bit as addictive . It’s got a great storyline and characters that have grown and developed as the series progressed and this conclusion is just fab! A fun YA dystopian read.
The third book picks up with Olivia needing to rescue Joshua. It seems like every time Olivia and Joshua are reunited another crisis would tear them apart. Olivia is a reluctant heroine but ultimately succeeds in vanquishing the evil doers. The storyline was a little hard to follow at times but overall an interesting read with a well deserved HEA! Enjoy!
