Four travelers meet in Bolivia and set off into the heart of the Amazon rainforest, but what begins as a dream adventure quickly deteriorates into a dangerous nightmare, and after weeks of wandering in the dense undergrowth, the four backpackers split up into two groups. But when a terrible rafting accident separates him from his partner, Yossi is forced to survive for weeks alone against one of … of the wildest backdrops on the planet. Stranded without a knife, map, or survival training, he must improvise shelter and forage for wild fruit to survive. As his feet begin to rot during raging storms, as he loses all sense of direction, and as he begins to lose all hope, he wonders whether he will make it out of the jungle alive.
Lost in the Jungle is the story of friendship and the teachings of nature, and a terrifying true account that you won’t be able to put down.

True story, but extremely different. I enjoyed reading it.
A journey up until you almost desire to knock on death’s door but death is not home today.
Intrigued with adventures in the jungle, I found it to be realistic, yet bogged down in detail at the end.
excellent book, the fact that this was a true story made it better. What he went through was amazing and the fact he lived to tell his story is remarkable
Unbelievable what some people can withstand … the drive to survive…. This story of survival is beyond anything I could handle, so I’m glad to just read about it
Ok.
I wanted an adventure story with trekking in harsh conditions and this book delivered that. I was a bit confused at times , unable to follow but all turned out well.
I didn’t care for this book and feel it was a waste of my money. It had a very simplistic plot and the writing style was also very simple. That any intelligent human would head off into the Amazon jungle with so few supplies, an unproven map, and little knowledge of who was leading them is unfathomable.
This book is terribly written and not even super interesting when you read that this person made so many bad decisions against all warnings and advice to get into this horrible situation.
Once upon a time a bunch of know it all, immortal (as they all believe) young people made a large number of unwise and downright stupid choices and ended up fighting for their lives. They bickered, acted out, but also saw and experienced beauty and wonder. The author lived. Apparently some others didn’t. Pretty exciting descriptions of harrowing …
This was the best real life drama I have read
The quality of the writing is poor but its a great story.
I found this book very informative as it was based on a true story. Since I will be traveling to the Amazon soon myself I was very interested in the subject matter. It seemed to be an accurate portrayal of life in the jungle. I thought both the characters and the circumstances they encountered were very believable. Even though it was a …
This book is about drawing strength the author didn’t know he had. It is about hope and despair both at the same time. It teaches that you don’t know what you can do until you are challenged.
Extremely interesting true account
This was a true story, and interesting because of that – although it took a while to get to the actual part where the the narrator was actually in the jungle, perhaps to make it a little longer. It was not very well written, and the people came off as somewhat annoying.
This is a well written story of how to make mistakes and bad decisions in a part of the world where such often lead to disaster. Despite all that, the author ends up alive and ultimately ok. A very enjoyable read with a lot of good jungle lore.
it shows that mankind is a bigger threat to humans than even nature
It was an exciting and inspirational book I was fascinated by the details of the jungle and countries with their culture and unique people it showed me a world that I otherwise would never get to see the author courage was amazing.
It was an interesting story, but hard to understand how these 3 young men were so gullible and trusting of a perfect stranger. There were so many red flags.
