Rich. Entitled. Possessive. I know exactly what I don’t want. I escaped to London under the cover of night, never thinking I’d run smack into a man who would turn me inside out. I had a plan. Simple, really. Step one: Follow my dream, away from from the demons of my past. Step two: Land on my own two feet, preferably far, far, away from the man who hurt me and broke my heart. Step three: Live a … me and broke my heart.
Step three: Live a little and avoid all men with dark secrets.
So far, I’m not doing so hot.
He’s a royal amongst peasants, and the last kind of trouble I need–a filthy rich alpha who can see straight into my soul. Our secrets hold us both captive.
Something tells me I’ll be powerless to stop his magnetic pull, especially when he tells me I’m going to be his, damn the consequences.

Another fabulous billionaire boyfriend romance from Nana Malone!
Royal Secrets…
Nana Malone is my go to author for Royal Love! She brings the Royal world to us so we love it and see them as real people! London Royal is book 1 of the duet. And yes, as always, she leaves you with a cliffhanger that makes you scream, while also making you want MORE! and MORE!
This story is filled with secrets on both sides and it is just a matter of time before those secrets come to light. Abbie and Lex are both trying to hide a piece of themselves for their own reasons. These secrets are kept so they can live a life that is almost to what they would want for themself. But will the world around them allow that.
Lex & Abbie will have their lives changed due to those around them and we see their lives turned upside down when their secrets are revealed. Part 2 of the duet will bring the conclusion.
I hate, yet love, Nana Malone and her cliffhangers! She keeps us on the edge of our seats and she always leaves me wanting more!
You’re going to want to read the next book! I was left wanting so much more. Abby and Lex are so hot together but it’s so much more than that. They each have a past and demons to battle but they balance each other so well and their chemistry is undeniable.
Bring on the next book! London Royal is the first book of this series and I am loving Lex and Abby. They both have a past that makes you instantly want to hug and protect them but their strength is just as amazing to watch. When you put them together though…that is when the magic happens. You can feel the intensity of them pouring off the pages and I couldn’t get enough. And each new layer made me want more!
I am anxiously awaiting the next book and highly recommend you start this one now to get ready for it!
4.5 stars. London Royal is the first book in the London Royal duet, and what a great beginning it is. London Royal focuses on the part of Sebastian’s family that has been exiled, and now due to unforeseen circumstances, the throne may just land back into Sebastians’ cousins’ laps. London Royal focuses on the story developing between Abena, aka Abbie, and Alexi, aka Lex, Sebastian’s cousin, who are thrown into each other’s paths by sheer coincidence, and who, because of the magnetic pull between the two of them continue to cross each other’s paths, and cannot stop thinking about each other. However, despite Abbie confessing a number of secrets to Lex continues to hold his secrets close to his heart, and therein lies the tension. After that ending, I cannot wait to find out how Abbie and Lexi’s story concludes. Secrets, mystery, intrigue, suspense, magnetic chemistry…London Royal has it all.
This book was a bit of a slow starter for me in that it took me a while to really get into it. It did start off with a harsh kick of emotion for Abby, which goes on to colour her interactions with others throughout the book. I loved reading of the blossoming of Abby as the book progresses & as usual there are great multi-dimensional characters that are easy to imagine as real. Keep in mind that this is a duet and not a series. That means that their is no nice and tidy HEA to this book, for that you will need read book 2.
Nana Malone has done it again writing a story that captured my attention from the very beginning. The book introduces Alexi and Abena exultant in their joy and love for one another. It then segues into the past taking the reader on the tumultuous journey the pair will take individually and together.
Abena is a work in progress, finally choosing to put herself first. With newfound determination she takes charge of her life heading to London. Alexi has worked to secure his independence from his father, their relationship rooted in animosity.
Alexi and Abena share a brief interaction, then meet again when their social circles intersect. They are drawn to each other a temptation that neither can resist. More similar than they realise, both bear scars emotional and physical that are maintained behind their public facades. Beyond the wonderful chemistry they share Abena and Alexi see in each other the possibility of something special. They will have to overcome their pasts, feelings of self doubt, and reticence. However their lives are complicated, dramatic and dangerous. There is a cliffhanger, which has left me eagerly awaiting the conclusion.
Blast off to England and London specifically. If this hot, sexy, alpha, possessive, man is the results of this trip. Then sign me up and forget that I was ever willing to not fly. I’m on the next plane ASAP. I’m not giving anything away. I and ready for the second part. This will make me take flight big time. Then I can grab both of the London Royal duet and them both together. Then give the full view of my venture to London.
When I finished reading this, I thought I need the second book and it couldn’t come fast enough. I don’t know really know how to feel about this first one. It just felt like almost over half of the book is Abbie and Lex getting to know each other and grow their relationship, and it just felt too slow for me. And I wish Xander’s part did not just get cut off, or maybe there’s something else that would happen in the second book. I would like some drama between the three of them.
But I love Abbie and how strong of a woman she is and the cliffhanger, that part was what really intrigued me to know what would happen next. I feel like that’s where the real climax of the book is and bammm, I need to know what happen in the next one! I can’t wait for it!
Enticing storyline that sucks you in! After finally following her dreams in addition to getting out of a difficult relationship, Abby embarks to London to start living life how she wants to by attending a prestigious photography program. Lex has had a complicated childhood and is really just trying to keep himself going at this point without any more hiccups. When the pair meet, the chemistry is explosive, but fate has another plan in store because every time they get somewhat close something tears them apart. Overall, this book is essentially detailing the relationship between Lex and Abby, as the beginning of the book starts five years in the future and the bulk of it being in the past. But the ending of this book takes the cake with the cliffhanger that Nana leaves us with – and so many questions along with it! I really enjoyed the character of Abby and her ability to finally get herself out of her situation and also not rely on anyone else but herself. But in the end, this book left me with so many unanswered questions that I can’t wait to find answers to in the next book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Contemporary Romance
First Person, dual-POV
This is book #1 of the London Royal duet and it has a major cliffhanger at the end. This is sort of a spin-off of the royals of Winston Isle (if you follow the author’s work)
“Look, when you met me, there were all kinds of things I didn’t want. There were things I didn’t even know I did want. One of them was you.”

WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
Addictiveness: 4.5/5 This was a one-sitting read for me. A fun, sexy read that kept me going until the end. As addictive as pizza!!!
Character: hero 4/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 4/5, real 5/5 Multidimensional characters with interesting layers to them, they were all very easy to connect.
Lex is a good hero, the tall, dark and dangerous type. Even after finishing the first book, I still find him kind of a mystery. He keeps his darkness hidden, but is always there in the surface. He is an amazing brother, a great friend and seems like is going to be a good boyfriend. He has too many secrets and I guess he is waiting too much for sharing them with Abbie and it probably will backfire.
Abbie is an amazing heroine. From almost the beginning of the book, she starts her journey into self-knowledge and is beautiful to follow. She is brave, strong and a really good person. She was stagnant in a situation, afraid of letting go, but she finds courage inside her self and get away from it. Now, she is restarting like a phoenix and she is being smartly cautious about it. She never planned for the chemistry she has with Lex, but she is learning to go with the flow.
Xander is a secondary character that feels very important. He is almost a third leg creating a sort of triad. He is Lex’s brother and Abbie’s professor. He is also mysterious, dangerous and sexy as hell.
The fact that I’ve been following the author’s royal series helps adds to my enjoyment of this story. Some characters I’ve read about before and I love the connecting the dots game.
Villains.. antagonists… This is another good mystery of this book, there is more than one force for them to fight here. We don’t have all the cards on the table yet, so we need to wait for the second book to name them all.
All characters were easy love, connect and understand. !!!
Cover: art 4/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. I like this cover but I don’t love it. Is just a bit too generic for me. I don’t see anything very distinctive that I could say is definitely part of this book only. I love the title, the colors and font used. I also like the embellishment creating a frame for the art. I would probably buy this book by its cover without needing to read the blurb, just because of the author’s name!
Plot: believable 5/5, conflict 4/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 3/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5 Exciting opening for a huge cliffhanger at the end. A very believable plot, specially with the heroine bringing awareness to some very important and real problems. Good subplots with unexpected twist. Wow! I was expecting something, and something totally different happened. Great dialogues in a fun, fast-paced plot. The conflict felt a bit convoluted and I guess I need the second book to make it cleaner. Good setting and highly enjoyable story that kept me curious until the end. High level of enjoyment!
Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 4/5, steam 4/5 This was a slow burn romance that grew in good pace. Their attraction to each other was undeniable from the moment they met. Even though the author threw a third member there to sometimes confuse the reader, it was obvious who was the heroine’s choice. I love how it started from the present and it went back to show us their love journey. It ended up being poignant and cute at the same time it was sexy and hot! Passionate love!
Writing Style: 4.5/5 The plot was fun, refreshing and interesting. The characters are all very easy to love and interesting enough to keep the reader guessing. The romance was sweet and sexy. The dialogues and descriptions of the scenes were fun and hot. The writing was good with a conflict still needing to become cleaner in the second book. Crafty writing!!!
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Freshness: 3.5/5 It’s ok. To make contemporary romance creative is really difficult, specially a royal romance. I think the smartest move that Ms. Malone did here was starting from present and going back to the past to tell the story. If gave a unique vibe to the book! As fresh as mint tea!
MY THOUGHTS
I’ve loved how Ms. Malone started from the present and went back into the past to show us their past, how they met and what they felt for each other. If you follow the author’s royal books, you will be pleasantly gifted with the backstory of characters that we have seen before.
Even when I know it is coming, that is even needed, I will never enjoy a cliffhanger. This cliffhanger is a KILLER. Really, it ends out of nowhere. Now I can’t wait for the next book!!!
This is the journey of a great love story!!!
“Good. Now go do your worst. And by worst, I mean better than your best.”
by Xander
29.5/35 STARS – 4 STARS (between 28 stars and 31 stars)
Addictiveness: 4.5 Character: 4.5 Cover: 4 Freshness: 3.5 Plot: 4 Romance: 4.5 Writing Style: 4.5

Would I recommend? Definitely! For everybody that enjoys romance with a bit of suspense.
Would I re-read this book/series? Yes! I would reread the book and I will follow the series.
Would I read more from the author? I love her books and I always add them all to my TBR.

London Royal
By: Nana Malone
*REVIEW*
Nana Malone is new to me, and I enjoyed reading this story. London Royal is a story of something bad actually leading to something much better. Abbie has been in a traumatic relationship and is now chasing her dreams in London. Lex has baggage of his own and secrets in his past. The chemistry between these two is instantaneously smoking hot and turbulent in a good way. Lex and Abbie are perfect together and balance each other out so well. Can they sever ties to the past and embrace a meaningful life instead? Lex and Abbie have a chance for something good, but it’s a lesson in accepting that you do actually deserve this. It’s easier said than done. This is a well written thoughtful story with all the feels. I liked the twists and turns and really wanted to know what happens next. Lex and Abbie are easy to love, and I was rooting for them. The ending is a cliffhanger, and I look forward to reading the next book.
After deciding that she’s had enough of her abusive ex-boyfriend and uncaring family, Abbie Nartey finally decided to follow her dreams and move to London. There, she meets the mysterious Lexi Chase. Life keeps throwing them together despite neither of them being ready to get into a relationship. Will they be able to overcome their pasts so they can have a future together, or will their secrets get in the way?
This book pulled me in right from the beginning and did not let go until the very end! It’s steamy, suspenseful, and it ends with a cliffhanger that I did expect, (because this is the first part of a duet, after all) but what I didn’t expect was that twist in the end! I can’t wait for the next book!
London Royal is a slow-burn contemporary romance written in dual narrative. It ends with a cliffhanger. No cheating.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
Abbie is an art student who recently moved to London. She broke up with her abusive boyfriend before leaving America and wants a fresh new start. While Abbie is trying to heal from her past relationship, she meets an attractive man named Lex. Lex is dealing with his own set of problems he has difficulty overcoming. The sexual attraction between the both of them is undeniable but they are both are cautious about pursuing a relationship.
Once I started reading this book, I didn’t want to stop until I finished it. I became attached to Abbie and Lex fairly quickly. I wanted to find out how they were going to deal with their respective internal and external issues in order to get their well deserved HEA.
The main characters are well-developed and there is suspense laced throughout the plot. I’m eager to read the next book in the series.
What fabulous story! It is full of suspense and drama throughout it. The characters are are extremely well developed with amazing personalities. I loved Lex and Abbie with a strong chemistry that is felt throughout the story. The story is well written and has a fantastic flow to it. Abbie goes through so much to then show how strong she can be. Lex is super protective with a loving and caring alpha male personality. The story does end on a cliffhanger but boy is it worth reading. It is definitely a must read. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.
Well Nana Malone has become a top author to read this year, this story was amazing. Abby and Lex story wasn’t an easy one. Complicated childhood and Abby going to London to start a new chapter in her life. They both have secrets but when they meet the spark ignites. I just can’t wait for the next book I need it already! Perfect start in this duet bravo!
Whoooooo! You know I’ll never NOT read a Nana Malone book, especially if it has any ties whatsoever to the Winston Isles royal family. I adore this world, these characters, and while this is a new formula for this Alpha royal to get his feisty girl, it’s just as enjoyable to read and just as steamy!
Lex and Abbie are dealing with similar life issues, trying to avoid one another and the intense chemistry between them. As you can guess, this only makes the universe work a bit harder to get them together and when it happens… fireworks, my friends!
If you’re not enjoying this world yet, I’d suggest you get started!
Royally Fantastic
I loved both Alexi and Abbi. Once again, Nana Malone has pulled together a fantastic story that had me needing to read it in one sitting … until that cliff-hanger ending that I knew was coming!!! I knew it, but I still couldn’t wait to read the book. She NEVER disappoints!!!
Abbi finally stood up for herself and escaped the abusive relationship that she was in, in spite of her mother. That woman was a piece of work and I could belabour the point as to how much bad karma I want to see piled upon her head! How Abbi became the brave and talented woman that she did is a testament to her character, and I love every attribute that Nana Malone wrote for her.
One of my favourite scenes is where Alexi calmly told his father that he’d given that horrendously expensive, and superfluous car that his father had bought him for his 25th birthday, to charity because he’d already bought his own. That threats to cut him off from the his money fell on deaf ears because he had earned his own, and there was nothing that he ever wanted from him. Ever. I just loved it. Another parental figure who was a nasty piece of work!!!!
As always with Ms Malone’s books, there is an undercurrent of insidious activity threaded throughout that comes to a head towards the end of the first book. I hate cliff-hangers. I say it every time, but, these books are always written in a duet, and we are not made to wait too long. Don’t wait to read about this fantastic couple, and if you must, start on some of Nana’s earlier duets. Her writing is as enthusiastic and full of movement as Nana herself is when live on Facebook. 5 Stars!!!!
London Royal has its surprises and will keep you entertained. Lex and Abbie’s story is full of secrets, their chemistry is undeniable, and their love story is romantic. I really enjoyed reading their story and can’t wait to see what happens next.
I voluntarily leave an honest review of this Advanced Readers Copy.
This first story takes place in a flashback to when our Hero, Alexi/Lex and heroine, Abena/Abbie first meet. She forces herself out of an abusive relationship with someone who seems like he “has the right pedigree” and escapes to London to pursue her graduate degree in photography. She rooms with her previous flatmates from her undergrad in London. Due to fateful coincidences, Lex always happens to be there when Abbie could use some help. Since this story is told from a dual point of view, we know Lex has secrets he’s keeping close to his vest, and although he’s trying to keep his distance from Abbie, the magnetic chemistry between them keeps drawing them together. Because her ex was a wealthy socialite, Abbie is leery of Lex and also tries to keep him at arm’s length. To add a little more spice to this budding relationship, Lex’s older brother Xander, happens to be Abbie’s photography professor. Abbie can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching her…but is it someone from her past or his? This book ends on a cliffhanger so be warned.
Loved the characters, story line and the tangled web that’s being woven for the second part of this duet.
