One Person Can Make a Difference
In search of adventure, twenty-nine-year-old Conor Grennan traded his day job for a year-long trip around the globe, a journey that began with a three-month stint volunteering at the Little Princes Children’s Home, an orphanage in war-torn Nepal.
Conor was initially reluctant to volunteer, unsure whether he had the proper skill, or enough passion, to get … enough passion, to get involved in a developing country in the middle of a civil war. But he was soon overcome by the herd of rambunctious, resilient children who would challenge and reward him in a way that he had never imagined. When Conor learned the unthinkable truth about their situation, he was stunned: The children were not orphans at all. Child traffickers were promising families in remote villages to protect their children from the civil war — for a huge fee — by taking them to safety. They would then abandon the children far from home, in the chaos of Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.
For Conor, what began as a footloose adventure becomes a commitment to reunite the children he had grown to love with their families, but this would be no small task. He would risk his life on a journey through the legendary mountains of Nepal, facing the dangers of a bloody civil war and a debilitating injury. Waiting for Conor back in Kathmandu, and hopeful he would make it out before being trapped in by snow, was the woman who would eventually become his wife and share his life’s work.
Little Princes is a true story of families and children, and what one person is capable of when faced with seemingly insurmountable odds. At turns tragic, joyful, and hilarious, Little Princes is a testament to the power of faith and the ability of love to carry us beyond our wildest expectations.

This book told a true story of a man’s mission into a war torn Nepal. The story was incredibly inspiring, and told in such a way that you couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend!
What a great, honest writer. The honesty is actually what makes this book humorous. Very descriptive writer. Inspirational story and people (not characters since they are real). I’ve recommended this book to many people and all have thanked me after reading it.
What a wonderful book. Such an inspirational story. The love within this person to change the future of many. Incredible individual. Beautiful read.
Here is a young man who just wants to do some traveling but when he gets to Nepal he gets involved with an orphanage. Actually not all kids are true orphans. Some gangs round up some kids during a civil war in Nepal. He makes friends with the other workers of the orphanage and also with the kids and in the end does some truly difficult traveling …
The children of Nepal are such an amazing group of kids! Conor and Farid are heroes! Definitely a must read!
The title put me off a bit but it is about an orphanage in Nepal that’s named after Antoine St-Exuperes little prince. It shows the evolution of its author, a young man who was not too interested in kids, who ended up making a long-term commitment to the orphanage and helping kids who were stolen re-unite with their parents. Excellent read.
Gave you and inside look at people/children living in another country.
Inspiring story about the power of a person who just keeps at it to reach a goal.
Conor is to be commended for following his heart and ignoring what others expected of him.
Wish I would have read this when it first came out.
Best book I have read in a while. Left me wondering what happened to the characters later.
Love that Conner took a chance on these orphans and enjoyed reading the true story of his adventures.
Oh,the good we may do,you and I! If we we try! This is a wonderful story of helping very unfortunate children find their parents and be reunited. How wonderful is that?! I have it on my kindle reader and I got the book so I could pass it on to others to read. Thanks to you, Conor for telling your lovely story!, this book actually deserves 10 …
Very enlightening story of situations in other cultures..It also tells what a difference one person can make in the lives of many.
Such an exciting tale of determination and an education as well. We are so sheltered that it is hard to believe how the other parts of the remote world does survive. Thank God there are still folks that are willing to withstand hardship to engage in humanitarian endeavors. Very uplifting
Very heartfelt writing. Gave me near understanding of Nepal orphan issues. Good read
This is story which shows what you can do with a life when you find your calling.
This book told of the horrors of child trafficking in Nepal. The author’s dedication to, and love for, the children was such an inspiration that I was close to tears throughout the book.
A book everyone should read
Inspirational story of one young man’s involvement with children in Nepal. He dealt with children who were trafficked and reunited them with their family.
