If only this type of thing were as easy as it looks in chick flicks.
Ever since her college days, Chantelle has had growing feelings for Dennis, a swaggering and smart geek-at-heart who’s got romance coming out of his ears. At least, he talks as if he’s mastered the art of dating, but how would Chantelle know if it’s true? She’s never gotten to experience Dennis as anything more than a close … more than a close friend.
But wait! A huge opportunity comes along that could impact both their personal and professional lives. This may lead to the perfect time for Chantelle to tell Dennis what he means to her.
It may also be time for some of Chantelle’s own words about love to come back to bite her.
Oops.
This contemporary romance features characters who first appeared in Hope Unashamed, the sequel to Love Unfeigned. Enjoy a bonus excerpt at the end of the story.

Kiss and ‘Telle? By Nadine Keels is a sweet contemporary romance that involves two friends that have seen each other through a lot. I can tell that Ms. Keels is a great author just from this little novella.
Will Chantelle tell Dennis the truth about how she feels?
Chantelle
Chantelle is one of our main characters, and one of our characters being the forefront of a chapter. Okay, so what I meant by the last one is that the section was around her and what she was doing in that chapter, along with if it involved Dennis or not. Telle, as Dennis likes to call her along with Telephone, is not only a good friend to her married friends but is a good friend with Dennis. She puts up with a lot from him after all this time. What I like about Chantelle is that Telle knows what she wants and tries to get Dennis to notice her. Along the way, though, I think that she is just as scared about turning their friendship into something else.
Dennis
Dennis is our other main character and, of course, the last one of our characters being the forefront of a chapter. For Dennis, that wasn’t as much in this little novella as it was for Chantelle. Either way, I did enjoy seeing into his point of view a bit. Dennis uses humor when he couldn’t think of anything else to say when the situation got too real for him. What I like about Dennis is that he shows another way of being a blogger besides being a book blogger while also maintaining a job. I kind of like it how they both skirted around their feelings when near each other.
Four Stars
I am giving Kiss and ‘Telle? By Nadine Keels four stars because it is a great little novella book. I loved what the author did with the characters and how she is already in their heads from the last book that she wrote. Ms. Keels does a fantastic job of writing this book, and I love it. I enjoyed the banter between Dennis and Chantelle as well.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This was my first Nadine Keels book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The witty, snappy dialogue flows along so smoothly between the two leads, it was like watching a well-written rom-com. I immediately liked and enjoyed both Chantelle and Dennis, they are wonderful characters, and the premise of them being such close friends and not wanting to rock the boat, so to speak, by one or the other admitting that they felt deeper feelings than friendship, was so true to life. I loved that they were both Christians. Good, clean love story that moved along to a wonderful, sweet finish. Looking forward to more from Ms. Keels. I give the story 4.5 stars, with only a half point off because it was quite short. (Edit–I didn’t realize it is a novella). I truly wished it would have gone on longer.
This is my first time reading something by Ms. Keels and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a very cute and lighthearted romance novella that was a lot of fun to read. It focuses on love and friendship. Chantelle and Dennis have known each other for a long time and have been really good friends. They both have romantic feelings for each other but have not had the courage to tell each other. This was a beautifully written story that takes the characters through the journey of friendship to love. Chantelle and Dennis were adorable and I loved following them on their journey. A very well-written story and I’m looking forward to reading more by this author!

This book has so many uplifting and funny moments!
I enjoyed this short story about Chantelle and Dennis, the characters were described quickly but enough that you felt engaged with the characters. I enjoyed their banter back and forth with each other, and I liked what Chantelle said:
“I figure, if folks could spend less time just waiting for love and more time finding ways to give love, it would help”- Chapter 3.
That is one of the underlying themes in this book that I think needs to be broadcasted far and wide. Others include the younger generation needing to step up and show the world what they do and leaning on God for our ups, and downs in life. Chantelle and Dennis have so much laughter together and they learn about each other over time the way good friends and life-long partners do.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the creativity in creating a great story in a short story, for the inspirational quotes throughout this book (I had a hard time choosing just one to include!), and for the message of speaking up and not being afraid.

Kiss and ‘Telle is about two friends,Dennis and Chantelle.
Both of them are attracted to each other, giving themselves green lights but not yet bold to admit how much they love each other.
I find their conversations amusing.
This is a novella with two central characters. It is a contemporary romance with 8 chapters.
Imagine being in love with your best friend and you wish he can notice you more as a woman instead of just his friend?
I must admit, while reading this book,I was reminded of those Black American movies where they speak so fast and make false threats.
In all, this is a good book if you’re looking for something light with lots of conversations.
I love Chantelle’s conversation with her best friend, Alexis. I think every lady needs an Alexis in her life not for some pity party but just to listen and be there.
I was provided a free copy of this book by the author. All opinions in this review are my own.
