They took his wife and his memories away. He wants them back.
Kingston West put his military service behind him much easier than most of the men he served with during the final war. As far as he was concerned, the cyborg who was Kingston 691 no longer existed. And the Cyber Husband program? He viewed it like he viewed having been a prisoner of war. Both were just service related memories he … related memories he didn’t plan on recalling. The future was all he needed.
At least he felt that way until he discovered one wife’s file had been totally erased from his Cyber Husband records. Only her name remained in data storage, though her family swore they’d had a loving relationship.
To put the past completely behind him, King has to first find the now missing Seetha Harrington. Before he can enjoy his new beginning, he needs to find out why Norton took those seven years together away from both of them.
About the Cyborgs: Mankind Redefined series….
This is a futuristic science fiction and fantasy series that takes place in the not too distant future. The Cyborg heroes are cybernetically enhanced military men who have been robotically imprisoned after a near apocalyptic global war. One by one the soldiers are now in the process of having their humanity restored. Each book deals with a different restored cyborg. For some readers, these stories will also be scifi romantic comedies.

Kingston has finally put most of his time in the Cyborg Husband Programme behind him. His new restaurant is a smash hit. When he is visited by the lasy Cyber wife that he remembers and is told that she was his wife in name only – she was really his mother-in-law! Her daughter didn’t want to send him back for “Updates” but when he returned he was not the King she remembered.
But now that he knows there are files missing on his wife, and that she has also been missing for some time, KIng is going all out to find her and try to replace or reinstall the memories that were taken from him.
Seetha has missed King since the day he was shipped off for updates, the man who returned wasn’t her king. Trying to pay penance for being a part of the Cyborg Husband programme, she was intentionally lost in the system and is now woking on bots, pretty much as a slave. But before she can be “reassigned” by the Cyborg known as William, King rescues her.
Can they rekindle their love affair? Will King be able to process the formerly loving relationship they had?
Great read, the others in the series are on my TBR list!
Love this series. This was one of the best in series
Kingston 691 the second book in the Cyborgs-Mankind Redefined Series by Donna McDonald was better for me than the first book. I love this series plot story of evil mad scientist turning cyborg soldiers into mindless robot slaves. It’s something I haven’t read in a series and it kept me entertained. This book had a faster pace and more action than the last book. I loved Kingston and Seetha both and felt they had a sweet love story. Although I love Peyton more he just had that something special. I still didn’t get a clear picture in my head of either character’s looks, the same as the last book. I really wish there would have been more details to their looks. When I can picture what the character looks like, I connect with them more, and they feel more real. While this book didn’t end with a cliffhanger it ended with some unanswered questions that will be carried out into the next book. I really enjoyed this book I sat down and was up til 4am reading it to the end. I am looking forward to more books in this series, especially Marcus’s book.
A second chance love story of the SciFi kind…
In this world soldiers have been turned into Cyborgs to fight in wars. But after their service they were made to do other menial jobs like instant husbands for rich women. They were however, always being controlled by Norton, their creating company to some extent. Seetha and Kingston made theirs a real marriage. Until his memory of her was erased and her heart was broken.
I enjoyed King’s relearning about women and the subtleties of human interaction. Seetha is so smart but in her broken state assumed to be weak. But Seetha is not weak. This book has the perfect mix of action, witty banter, and a sweet sexy romance. A super geek girl read.
