If the zombie apocalypse happens tomorrow—how would you spend your last day?
All Dr. Brianna Lewis wants is a cup of coffee.
Coffee, to make slaving away in her cell culture lab at Green Fields Biotech a little more bearable on a Friday afternoon when everyone is home already.
What she doesn’t count on is a group of terrorists blowing up all the entrances to the building and taking her and a … taking her and a select few others hostage. Bree soon finds herself conflicted. Not only does she know their charismatic leader. She also starts to suspect that there is a lot more to this than the hunt for an illegal bioweapon—a virus that could potentially kill millions in just a few days—particularly as there is currently a flu epidemic raging across the country, and reports about violent behavior among the afflicted are getting more and more alarming.

great book
Great series of books. If you love zombies you love this book. But there is a lot more to it. Read the first book and you will be hooked.
If you love ‘The Walking Dead’ you’ll enjoy this entire series of books! Really excellent, grim and gory as a post apocalyptic zombie series should be. Love the two main characters!
An action filled and descriptive opening to this series. Bree is an easy character to follow. This book does end with more questions than answers, but in a way that makes you ready and willing to start book two.
Good read lots of action
I can’t wait to read the second book but trying to place myself because I don’t have book 3 yet
Brilliant
Incubation: Green Fields #1
by Adrienne Lecter
This was a page turner for me, a bit technical, but also a bit funny. This is a smidgen of zombie with a good splash of humor and dash of romance.
I already have the next one to read, cannot wait!
I liked the more scientific take on how zombies came about. It was different but still a good read.
Would recommend this series to any zombie fans out there!! I am currently reading book 6 in the series and am already wishing it wouldn’t end at book #8.
I did not expect to like this book. I almost put it down. I am glad I didn’t. The only bad part is the story is left unfinished. Not at all a fan of having to find the next book.
Story is compelling. Multiple descriptions of fear and its physiological manifestations is a little overdone. Otherwise, a good book. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Good series
The whole series is awesome
OK Zombie Apocalypse book. Light recreational reading for those that like that genre. Bubble gum for the mind.
Didn’t want it to end, what a page turner. Skipped dinner just to finish it!!
At first, I didn’t like the book. It was a little hard for me to get into as there were so many characters and at times a little steamier than I expected in a zombie style book! About half way into the book, it got so interesting that I could hardly put it down at night! When I finished, I immediately downloaded her next book into my Kindle.
Talented author. Terrific story, fast paced, great character development, although the female protagonist is a little weak and requires male to support and save her. Overall tight writing, but serious overusage of the word, that, which carries over to her 2nd book. I’m estimating 3-5% of her word count consists of, that, and ancillary words required to create a cohesive sentence.
I really enjoyed the book. The main character was a little weak at first, but developed as the book progressed. Book contains sexual scenes (not a lot) so be aware if you are reading it with children. Contains cliff hanger. I got the second book in the series and read both books in 2 days. It was a fun read.
This was another quick fun read I discovered thanks to my friends at #bookbub. We’ve all heard about the upcoming zombie apocalypse; Adrienne Lecter just let us know how it started. This is the first in a series, and Lecter has created a story that will be enjoyable to follow. The characters are easy to like (or hate), and the action does not let up.
