In a sizzling new Argeneau novel from New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands, a gorgeous mortal encounters his greatest temptation…
For almost two centuries, Ildaria Garcia has been on the run, a trouble magnet with a knack for taking down bad guys. Lately, her vigilante tendencies have drawn unwelcome attention to her fellow Immortals. Forced to relocate, Ildaria is supposed to lay low in a new town. Instead, she quickly entangles herself with six and a half feet of muscular, tattooed trouble.
Joshua James Simpson Guiscard, aka G.G., knows a lot about Immortals—enough to make him wary. Yet from the moment Ildaria walks into his club, he feels desire stronger than anything he’s known. Accepting the fact that they might be life mates is disconcerting. But when her past catches up to them, G.G. faces a choice—confront his demons at last, or lose a passion that’s hot as hell.

Awesome series. I cant get enough. Loved the reader as well. Lovely escape from today’s craziness.
Ildaria Garcia has been on the run for a century. She also has some vigilante tendencies that tend to get her in trouble with the Enforcers. When she gets in trouble again she is forced to quit school and finds a job working for a vampire night club. Joshua James Simpson Guiscard (GG) has known about immortals all his life and is leary of what they can do. Unfortunately he can’t get his new employee out of his mind.
Ildaria has been running since she was a teenager. She doesn’t trust anyone and is leary about putting down roots. She doesn’t trust men and finding her lifemate means learning to trust, especially when it comes to sex. Ildaria was a strong, independent, and dangerous heroine who I really enjoyed. I think her and GG were adorable together and really hope they popup more in future books.
GG is human and has appeared in the series before. He refuses to be turned due to the trauma of witnessing his mother’s turning. It isn’t until he could potentially lose Ildaria that he realizes he needs to change if he wants to be there for her. I have always liked GG so I was excited to see him finally find a mate. I do wish that he hadn’t taken an immortal’s words to heart and changed himself thinking it would make Ildaria like him more. Hopefully he goes back to being himself in future books.
Overall, I am still enjoying this series after 31 books and I cannot wait to read the next one.

I have been provided with a review copy of Immortal Angel through Edelweiss for an impartial review. This is the thirty first book in the Argeneau series and features Ildaria Garcia and G.G. both of whom we have previously met in other books in this series. I liked having already met both characters so you know that the big explanation of events doesn’t take place because they are already aware of the world they are in. I was extremely glad that G.G. finally got his own story I just immediately fell in love with him when I first met him. It was just so easy to get lost in this story and I was extremely sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Immortal on the run finds her life mate!
I really love the fact that these books don’t have to be read in order. I know that some of the characters in this book have been the subject of previous books, but everything in the book was explained as if it were a stand alone. I have only read the last two books in this series and I wasn’t lost at all. I enjoyed this couple and their issues.
Ildaria Garcia is has been in hiding for 200 years. She was attacked at a young age by a immortal and in fighting him off, she bit him and and swallowed some of his blood, which was how she was turned. The vampire that attacked her is the head of the South American Council and has been trying to find her to return her to the Dominican Republic.
Though Ildaria acted in self defense, she knows he will use his position on the council to have her punished or executed for what she did. Ildaria thinks it isn’t only revenge that has him so fired up to find her but the law that any immortal can only turn one person and most save that for their life mate if that person is a mortal.
After leaving the Dominican Republic, Ildaria ended up in Montana and was forced to leave there because she was performing some vigilante acts while looking for a man who attacked another student at the university she was attending for Accounting. Lucien Argeneau, the leader of the North American Council had Ildaria move from Montana to Canada because she had been drawing attention to their kind when she was caught on camera performing activities that a mortal female should not be able to do. Like throwing grown men across a street.
When the same happens in Canada due to no fault of her own, Ildaria has to change her ways or face execution for continually bringing attention to immortals. So Ildaria gets a job at the local immortal bar from the owner, a guy named G.G. (for Green Giant). G.G. is six feet five or more and has tattoos and a green mohawk. It soon becomes apparent that he is a possible life mate for her.
I enjoyed this story quite a bit because there was a good romance between G.G. and Ildaria and some great conflict was brought into the mix. G.G. had seen his mother being turned when he was a young child and seen how the change caused her to suffer greatly. He was traumatized and has never forgotten so though he owns two bars for immortals and is around them a lot, he never wants to fall for one or be turned. Plus he is not the kind of guy that would go after an employee.
The characters were great in this book especially Ildaria and G.G. I loved the scene where she tells him how she grew up and what happened to her in the Dominican Republic. There were also quite a few supporting characters, the best of which is G.G.’s small dog named H.D. The dog plays a big part in the book and is so cute.
The romance is quite steamy and also a source of laughs at times. When immortal life mates find each other at the beginning, they can’t even touch each other without wanting to have a “shag fest”. Also when they do that, it is not uncommon for both parties to pass out after the deed. They can also have shared dreams which turn out to be pretty steamy.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
You would think after thirty books this series would get a bit stale but I have to say it never does for me. The author never fails to surprise me. This book reunites us with some of my favorite characters. Marguerite, Julius, Lucian, Mortimer, Sarah, Tiny and Mirabeau all make guest appearances. This book features one of my favorite minor characters G.G. We met G.G. as the human with the green Mohawk who knows about immortals and runs a blood bar for them in England. He is buying the blood bar in Canada from Lucian. Ildaria may be over two hundred years old but she reads as much younger to me. That may be because she really hasn’t had a chance to grow normally as she has been on the run. But I feel for her and really like her.
This story is filled with unexpected twists and turns and I absolutely LOVE it.
I’ve found a new passion for PNR and because of this, I’ve got recommendations coming at me from pretty much everywhere. And I’m loving it!!
Lynsay Sands is an author that comes up quite a lot on my what-to-read next list so I thought I’d give her a try. Not only did I borrow this book from the library, I also bought a copy of Immortal Nights from Book Outlet. I’m determined to get through what I’m told are some amazing books!
I found Immortal Angel to be a surprising read. I went in with some expectations and some were met… others were not. I figured based on the cover that there would be tons of action, but aside from the very beginning, when Ildaria was going all vigilante, there was no action to be found. It was over and done with pretty quickly, which was a disappointment, however, I enjoyed the romance build and finding out some bits about the Immortal world these characters live in.
Was the concept of these people being vampire supposed to be so vague? They drink blood, they have enhancements, but the word vampire seemed to be something to be avoided. I’m not sure whether I liked that or not.
I thought that the relationship that grew between Ildaria and G.G. was cute, sweet, sexy and ridiculous (at times). I loved meeting all of the characters, I loved the romance, and only wished for something more. The author put a lot of effort into creating Ildaria’s back story, which was truly tragic, and I was entertained by G.G.’s reluctance to be turned into an Immortal. I’m not sure what I wanted to be different aside from some action. It just ended up being an okay read for me.
Part of me hopes that Juan finds his true life mate. I felt bad for the guy and I want him to be caught up in happiness too.
I’m looking forward to getting through this author’s backlist and falling in love with her characters!
This author is always a great read!
This author has a knack for creating fun sympathetic characters with interesting backgrounds and personal quirks and throwing them together, creating improbable romances in probable situations. Ildaria joins a long line of spunky, strong-willed, quirky women who meet equally strong-willed, protective loving men who reluctantly will do the strangest things to make their chosen theirs. The author makes sure this romance is unique to this couple. And once the couple is a couple? Leather, a lot of leather – oooh, hot!
HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT
IMMORTAL ANGEL is the thirty-first book in the Argeneau series. Though each book will stand alone in this series, I recommend reading them all.
G.G. and Ildaria remind me of the punk and goth kids of my youth – they’ll be bold and unique while trying to hide in their own shadows. G.G. with his green mohawk and Ildaria with her vigilante defense of women are just trying to get through their immortal lives without being noticed. I laugh and ask, “how’s that working out for you?”
This series is fabulous, and it never gets stale. I love the suspense story that is Ildaria’s backstory and how it must be resolved in order for them to have a future.
I look forward to more and more Argeneau vampires. The is always steamy romance, great dialogue, and terrific suspense lines.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

I just really enjoy getting lost in the world of Lindsay Sands Argeneau books. Her world is always fun and exciting. You never know who will pop up from a previous book. I’m currently waiting for the next book.
Lynsay Sands is one of my favorite authors. If you are wanting a few hours of reading enjoyment, this is the book. Marguerite strikes again!
Ms Sands and the Argeneau’s do not let you down in this story! GG is an awesome individual and it is unfortunate that his introduction to the immortal world was so violent but he turns out to be such a wonderful man in spite of it! GG owns a couple bars designed for immortals and has a reputation as a compassionate man. Ildaria has had a rough life but come out for the better also! Running from a man she sees a monster. She’s spent most of her life running from this man and ends up in Montana under Lucian’s protection. She turns vigilante and they bring her to Canada to try and figure out whats going on and give her a fresh start, again. It’s here she meets GG and things just run with the opportunities given. They become friends and both want more but neither is ready to make that jump, at first. Ildaria’s past finds her and kick starts the feelings GG has for her. The truth of the man chasing her is startling to say the least! Things end on a HEA and Margarite is ready for the next match! GREAT, Awesome and sweet that sums up this group of immortals, in my humble opinion!
After 31 books I think it’s time to bid adieu to the Argeneau books. I haven’t loved the last 15 or so, but this one really made me feel I wasted my time.
The story starts like gang busters then settles in to a standard romance with little chemistry between the characters. I didn’t love G.G. and his wishy washiness. He is so sweet and understanding to the point he gets beat up by a woman, a great big guy like him??? I can see, with her background, the Ildaria may have issues, but not to have dealt with them for 200 years?
The author also provides details about a variety of things that ring so false it irritated me. 14 year old (non-prostitute) girls going to a bar in the early 1800’s??? Especially in a latin country??? $20/hr. (even Canadian) to dog sit ALL day ($160!!!) in ADDITION to regular pay. Plus she’ll make enough that out of her first TWO WEEK check she’ll be able to cover first and last months rent with a bit leftover. Nice dream world she’s living in. G.G., a normal human, can afford everything he’s doing? Sorry, when an author provides details, get them close to right/realistic. The whole explanation about Ildaria’s traumatic event was ridiculous. I didn’t go back to check, but it seems like the price gouging topic was completely dropped.
Uninteresting characters and story line makes this a book I can’t recommend even to hard core fans of the series.
I just love the Argeneau series. Lynsay has been able to keep these novels fresh and enjoyable. Thanks Lynsay!
I just love the Argeneau series! Lynsay Sands has given us a new story about our favorite immortals.
This is the Story of G.G and Angelina/Ildaria who has been staying somehow with Margueit Argeneau Notte and her husband Julias Notte.
As one can expect, G.G. Is Angle’s possible lifemate. He watched his mother undergo the change as a mistake of wrong place and wrong time and has refused the turn anytime anyone in his family brings it up. Will Angel be able to convince him? Their is danger lurking behind her and she’s been on the run for quite sometime. Of course, it wouldn’t be acceptable without Lucian getting his way on a thing or two
Dear readers, this is a great book and that is all I can tell you without spoilers coming out. So sit back in your favorite spot and dive in!
I love everyone of Lynsay Sands books, For me to say that is unusual.
I do love her style of writing, her stories, the length of her books! She does not write 100 or 150 page books and charge too much. like others are doing.
Her Characters are great and her story telling is so good I wish I could meet these people.
Let me start by saying I love Lynsay Sands & the Argeneau series. I always look forward to her new books & usually aren’t disappointed with them but this one while still enjoyable wasn’t up to par with the others. I really did like G.G. aka Joshua & “Angelica” Ildaria but felt their story could of been better with more light hearted funny moments & less or none of the dark subject matter. She had a couple of terrible things happen to her as a child & the subject matter was brought up through out the whole book (not giving any spoilers, you’ll have to read it). G.G.’s mom Mary was a great character & added some funny moments in the book as well as the adorable dog H.D. Juan on the other hand didn’t deserve ANY forgiveness for what he did but again no spoilers. Overall I did enjoy the book but do hope the next one is better with more humor that the author usually puts in her books.
This is a well-written, entertaining, steamy paranormal romance written with Ms. Sands’ classic humor and wit. It is an excellent addition to the Argeneau series, and can easily be read and enjoyed as a stand alone.
Ms. Sands does it again. Even in a long series, she keeps the story fresh and unique.
IMMORTAL ANGEL is Lynsay Sands’ book 31 of the Argeneau series and quite a sizzling one involving a gorgeous six and a half foot of muscular, tattoo mortal with green, foot-high mohawk and his greatest temptation is a beautiful, sensual, immortal. Joshua James Simpson Guiscard, aka G.G. knows about immortals too well to be wary of them. When Ildaria Garcia walks into his club, he feels desire stronger than anything he knows. Unfortunately, Ildaria is a magnet for trouble and has a knack for taking down the bad guy. Her vigilante tendencies have moved her into a new town to lay low—and out of trouble. Then she meets G.G. IMMORTAL ANGEL is a fun romance filled with wit and humor and sizzling heat. Lynsay Sands writes fun paranormal romances brining in lively cast of secondary characters from previous novels like Marguerite & Julius, Lucian, and Sam. A reader never knows who will pop up in one of Lynsay Sands’ books!
