This is beautiful story focused on love and a second chance.
I loved how the relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways they never expected.
It is the type of story that clutches you at once and does not release you until you get to the end – then you find yourself pining over the fact that the book has ended.

Roman Hemingway’s (Hemi) rise as heir and CEO of his father’s coffee business is at jeopardy due to his reputation asa player. His father feels he needs to marry to improve his image with the Board and shareholders. He is searching for a bride when he meets up with Kamiya, a childhood friend, who he has not seen for fifteen years. Kamiya once had a crush on Hemi, Hemi decides she would make the perfect bride for him, however, Kamiya, has a different opinion. I recommend this enjoyable read which is Hemi’s and Kamiya’s journey to finding love which includes conflict, strong emotions, passion, and rekindling of friendship and love.

This is a romantic comedy. Roman’s administrative assistant is hysterical. Roman is bold and knows what he wants. His father wants to retire and cannot let his son continue in his playboy ways, so it sets an ultimatum. Kamiya knows what she wants from life and has a set mission. Together, they are fun and teach other that some things are more important than themselves. This story actually surprised me in how good it was and the character writing is exceptional.
A nice introduction to her Hemingway Industries series
Kamiya, a girl with sass and heart, and Hemi, a playboy billionaire, have a less than perfect reunion after losing touch in high school. As the story progresses dreams are shattered, new visions are created, and determining the truth of themselves could be the biggest fight they have. Donna R. Mercer’s Hot Coffee is a nice introduction to her Hemingway Industries series. I liked the book and hope the next one will focus on Brad.

This is a short romantic well-written story that has wonderful characters that must re-evaluate their life and choices. The story was well-crafted and the story was short, sweet with complications of life. This was very realistic and humorous story and by the end you wanted to be friends with this couple. The story is a must read HEA

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Hemi asked his cousin to meet for coffee, while there he downloads to his cousin what his father told him and can he help. He points out someone and that was the start of things changing, the up and downs the friendships.

Wow what a great story.
This is a second chance romance.
Time did indeed make a difference in her. She gave up on love when she was ghosted by the only man she considered settling down with. Now he needs her to keep is role in the family business. How do you smooth over hurt feelings in a woman who is desperate to ignore him.

This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Donna R. Mercer; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Hot Coffee by Donna Mercer was well written, sexy and had great storytelling. I’ve read a few books by Donna Mercer and she fast becoming a one click purchase for me. This story had great character development and the dialogue between the characters flowed easily. It kept you engaged and curious to know what would happen next. I would highly recommend this story.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This about Hemi and how he has to change his way of living in order to take over the business after his father retires. Kamiya moved away with her family but has moved back to start a new life to help others. A quick read and easy to follow along.
I really liked this story! “Hot Coffee” is engaging with relatable characters who have interesting goals and motivations. Roman and Kamiya were childhood friends and haven’t seen each other in years. Roman needs a wife. Could Kamiya be The One? I loved the way their relationship unfolds – like an old-fashioned love story it has dating and courtship with the promise of so much more. Roman’s pursuit of Kamaya gets an A-Okay from me! Loved their chemistry – electric! There is tension, conflict and passion. The journey of this romance has a few bumps but the ending is totally satisfying. A lovely book to spend the day with!

The hero, Roman/Hemi, is the CEO in waiting in the company his father founded. In order to take the reigns as CEO, however, he must find and marry a “suitable” woman so that he may appear stable and less like a playboy to their Board of Directors and shareholders. Well into adulthood, Roman is unwittingly reunited with his childhood friend, Kamiya, with whom he has lost touch since her family moved away while Roman and Kamiya were still kids. Roman decides that Kamiya is the woman he wants to be with, but as is par for the course…life happens and complications arise. This book takes us on an adventure to figure out if the feelings of attraction that Roman and Kamiya experienced as kids still exists today and whether they can make it as a couple despite life getting in the way. Author Donna Mercer is always good for taking the reader on a crazy literary ride.

First of all, there is a great intro to Hemi (or Roman Fitzgerald Hemingway, III) right at the very start of the book. We also get to meet Dolores, his administrative assistant extraordinaire, and she is a hoot. Even though Hemi is classified as a ‘bad boy’, he really is a nice guy, trying to do the right thing for his father and the company his father has built into a successful enterprise. There’s only a teensy, tiny problem: his father wants to see Hemi married and settled before he himself retires and leaves the company in Hemi’s hands.
Enter someone from Hemi’s past, Kamiya Anderson. They have a past, as in they grew up together but drifted apart fifteen years prior. It’s a good story, one that the author tells much better than I can. How these two get back together (or together, really, as they were mere teenagers when they last saw each other) is a great story of ups and downs and to me, how both Hemi and Kamiya learn to open their hearts and minds to communication and change and love.
It was a quick read for me but it was a good read. I’m team Hemi/Roman, even though he was a true “boy” sometimes, and I liked Kamiya as well. I just don’t think it’s always the “boy’s” fault, all the time. Their HEA is sweet, albeit a bit bumpy for them.
Hemi’s dad gives him an ultimatum to find a nice girl to date and then marry or else he won’t be taking over at Hemingway Industries, when he retires. Hemi enlists help from his cousin, Brad, to help him. While they’re sitting in the coffee shop, Hemi notices a woman, but she’s too young. Upon a closer look, he knows her. It’s Kamiya, his best friend from high school. He’s thrilled to see her, but the feeling isn’t mutual, lol. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say I really enjoyed this book. If you love reading books with strong female characters and males to make them happy, you will love this book. I can’t wait to read Brad’s book when it’s published. If someone deserves some love and happiness, it’s definitely him.
This is a well written book with strong characters in Roman and Kamiya who were childhood friends with a crush. Years later they reunite and find the feelings are still there. The author does a great job bringing both drama and humor on their journey to finding if it’s the real thing and worth pursuing. It’s an entertaining romance and I enjoyed reading.

Hemi, the heir to be of the family mega-millions coffee company is looking for a wife in order to appear as a stable and family-oriented owner to the board and its stakeholders. Social media portrays Hemi as the Playboy.
Kamiya, is Hemi childhood friend who moved away while they were teenagers. At that time they both had crushes on each other and dreams of being together for a long while.
She has moved back to his hometown to start her dream project.
Now as adults, they still have these feelings but need to find out whether these are real or childhood fantasies.
Hot Coffee is a quick and enjoyable read, with some beautiful characters.
Enjoyed reading this, it’s a bit humorous and has some drama. Both characters seem confident, focused and patient. Love the chase and his willingness to boldly do it, also love these childhood friends becoming much more. Their journey is not easy but I think they are up for the challenge. Playboy meets his match but love and happiness are definitely worth it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Roman and Kamiya were childhood friends who were separated when Kamiya’s parents moved. They are reunited as adults and have to figure out if the feelings they had as teenagers can cross into adulthood while also navigating through obstacles thrown in their way. Roman and Kamiya’s story is sweet, hot and relatable. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
