With a name like Vegas Manilow, it was inevitable I would find my way back to the City of Sin, where I was born to Lola, she was a showgirl with yellow feathers in her hair . . . okay, she was a stripper. Cliché, right? Tell me about it. Desperate to do something more, be more . . . I wind up the last place I expected—a one-stop wedding chapel. Cue the Elvis and grab the feathers. Instead of a … feathers.
Instead of a tacky wedding parlor or Vegas side show, what I find is a family, a place where I belong. So, when a smooth-talking suit shows up and threatens to take it all away, I’m determined to send him back where he came from Vegas style . . . literally.
What I didn’t count on was sharing the honeymoon suite with him. Talk about sleeping with the enemy.
What happens when the lights go out?
I just found out . . . and it changes everything.
*A sizzling story about a sassy woman trying to make her way in Sin City, and the sexy businessman that stands in her way. A one-stop wedding chapel and a line-up of secondary characters so zany and unique, you’ll want to book a room at the Honeymoon Hideaway and never leave!

This was a wonderful story! It did an effortless job in making me laugh and my heart felt like it was lighter and warmer. Vegas Manilow has to return to her native Las Vegas, when the success she hoped she would have when she left years ago, isn’t found. Upon arriving she is offered a job at The One Stop Wedding Shop which included a wonderful family of characters and one absolutely hilarious goat. Jump to about two years later and the wonderful owners have passed and left her to manage the unique wedding chapel on the strip. They leave the business to their grandson, Grant Foster, who doesn’t make the best first impression on Vegas which leads to an enemies to possible lovers story. Vegas doesn’t have an easy time not being mean to him or taking her frustration over the situation out on him. The side characters were so enjoyable to read about. Then the vibrant lights of Las Vegas go out. Add all the little emergencies that they have to solve together and getting locked in the honeymoon suit and you find the perfect, feel good romance. It was just such a cute and adorable little journey that I loved and will certainly keep close by in case I need a good laugh and a bunch of “awe!” moments. I really hope the author can give us a glimpse of all these characters again one day.
Cary does it again. It took me a while to get started, life and stuff, but once I started I couldn’t put it down.
I laughed out loud the very first page and the laughter continued throughout the book. And some tears were shed!!!
The characters are all amazing in this story….Vegas, Dottie, Grant, Harold, Darla and good ol’ Burt!!!
I loved the cat and mouse game between Vegas and Grant!!
Haven’t read a book of Cary’s that I don’t love!
Honeymoon Hideaway was a great, quick read! I loved the storyline and the humor incorporated throughout. I would love for this couple to have their own series. It would, of course, HAVE to have Burt! Burt is the best part of this story! Him popping up unexpectedly really made the book.
Hilarious, a smoking goat, a hen, a wild and crazy aunt and quite the cast of characters in this wonderful story. A black out, no batteries, no cakes, no candles, no keys, no ideas, no fur faces, no explanations, but perhaps a spider. This description in no way gives away the story, its the way Ms. Hart puts everything together that is the magic. The web she has weaved is very entertaining and you will thoroughly enjoy this story. I did.
