Such a sweet and charming second chance at love romantic story. Kat and Drew make a promise to each other when they are eight years old to be married one day, then Drew’s family moves away. Several years later they are reunited when Kat is asked to plan her best friend Parker’s wedding. No problem and it seems like a perfect opportunity for Kat since her ex left her with a mountain of debt that needs paid. This seems like a great way to earn some money, that is until she finds out the groom is Drew. Kat and Drew working together to plan the wedding has Drew remembering that long ago promise and wondering if Parker is the right woman for him. A sweet story of a second chance at love.

Drew & Kat last saw each when they were 8yo. He returns with her BFF Parker who is now his fiancée to plan a wedding in the small town where they used to live. Kat now works at a bakery, after a failed attempt at her own business caused by her former ex.
The attraction is still there. So will these two get together again or will he marry the girl whose work is more important than him?
An easy to read, romantic tale.

Kat had dreams of owning a bakery and she did it. But her ex ruined that dream and left her with piles of debt. Now she works hard to pay her bills for someone else back in her home town. One day Drew, her eight year old soul mate and there were sparks still there. Boy was she surprised when her best friend Parker walks in and announces that her and Drew are getting married in two weeks. Drew needs to do some soul searching to make sure he is marrying the right woman. Could there be a second chance for her?
This is a sweet contemporary romance and is the second in a series. The characters instantly draw you in with their dynamic personalities. I loved the storyline as the couple went through numerous surprises and emotional drama. They take the high road even though they may not get together and be able to have the happiness they deserve. I loved this book so much, I bought the first one to read. Hope you enjoy this contemporary sweet romance as much as I did.

When her relationship with her ex ended all Kat had to show for it was debt and broken dreams. She has picked up the pieces of her life and is now working in a bakery rather than owning it and surprised when one of her customers happens to be the boy she loved when she was eight years old and hasn’t seen since. Things become complicated when she finds out he is engaged to her best friend Parker.
Drew has emotional scars from his past and Parker was there by his side as he tried to heal. He has never forgotten Kat and the feelings between them still remain but what does this mean for the future?
Another excellent re-release
This book is adorable. Second chances for childhood sweethearts is a really great trope. I have to say I completely agree with the author’s decision to rewrite the series. I’d read most of them already, but her writing has improved with time and these new releases reflect that skill.
