Ysaria“One day, you’ll find your curiosity has betrayed you, child.”All my life, I’ve cast off my father’s warning. Curiosity brought me into this world of humans. And he was right—curiosity betrayed me.Now, I’m trapped in a world of ruin and nightmares. Zombies are holding my brother, my only way back to Brinspyre, and they’re not through yet. My fae blood is ancient and carries the antidote this … ancient and carries the antidote this world desperately needs to reverse the virus that plagues these creatures.
They don’t want a cure. They want me dead.
Liir
This world has gone to shit for good, but I refuse to surrender. Hellsbreath, the mountain stronghold I built with loyal friends, is a haven from the destruction aboveground. Survivors have found security under the dragons’ protection.
But we’re not immune.
My team of dragons, witches, and humans works cease- lessly to come up with something, anything, to slow the progression of the virus that only a few know is inexorably turning me into a monster. It’s all too easy to give in to despair.
That is, until I cross paths with a stunning fae woman fleeing into the night, a troop of zombies screaming for her flesh.
Let’s just hope I’m not too far gone to embrace her healing touch. The darkness inside me craves her demise, but the dragon craves so much more.

Ysaria is marynaurian fae a race of mythical being that have withdrawn from the world.
she has a unique biology her blood literally heals.
Liir is a dragon and one of the founders of Hellsbreath Sector an underground refuge he has built in this decimated apocalyptic landscape.
He is also infected with the Zombie Virus but has managed to hold out so far on account of his dragon lineage.
That is no longer the case and he can feel himself gradually succumbing to his curse.
Liir rescues Ysaria (A Fae Princess) from the zombies and then goes back for her brother.
The two had great chemistry and I liked that Ysaria owned her own sexuality completely.
it was interesting to see Liir’s two halves battle it out for supremacy, one wanting to devour the other annihilate her.
I did like this but thought the length let it down slightly and I also thought the finish was rushed and easily resolved.
This was a short easy read another edition to the Zombie 2099 compilation.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Hellsbreath Sector.

Zombie Year 2099 series has another release, and it’s Kira Nyte’s Hellsbreath Sector, a refuge for humans and supernaturals with a zombie outpost next door.
As a Fae Princess, Ysaria hasn’t ventured into the human realm despite being very curious about it. She foolishly convinced her brother to open a portal so they could adventure but found their magic bound and themselves imprisoned in cages by zombies. This species of zombies is much different than other Zombie Year 2099 undead; they are intelligent with a hunger for flesh. Their prisoners are slaves; supernaturals aren’t on the menu because they taste horrible to zombies, but they do have value in another flesh trade.
Yet slaves are slaves, beatings and violations are frequent. Ysaria keeps them angry, so she takes the punishments rather than worse. Not being able to access her powers is a further complication. Her brother Dastion and she are helpless. The only chance they have–an escape, she takes advantage of the first chance she gets. But weakened after days of captivity, she fears it will prove fruitless. It almost is.
Liir and Cryon are Dragons who protect Hellsbreath and all who live in the sector. They are natural protectors who would like nothing more than to incinerate all the zombies in their neighborhood–but will gladly accept the offering of turning into ash those preying a female through the woods they hunt.
But can a virus that has decimated the human population destroy dragons?
Kira Nyte’s zombie world is different than previous Zombie Year 2099 authors. It’s nice to see the variations in the stories. I think the best part of the Hellsbreath Sector is the fact that she has made the virus personal. The previous stories have told us about the virus, and Kira Nyte’s shows us the world from the virus POV.
I still champion Andorra Sector as the best of the Zombie Year 2099 stories. If you like fae, this book might be more to your tastes. Or check out Voodoo Sector that also features some fae hotties.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary advance copy of this book.

This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. It is an intriguing addition to the Zombie Year 2099 collection. Ysaria is a fae from the Marynaurian race, that was thought to be of myth, with the capability to heal which makes her a threat to the zombies. Liir is a dragon that leads the group in Hellsbreath. However, he became infected and is struggling to keep his faculties in check for himself and those under his care. From the beginning this is one story that opens with a bang and keeps going with twists and turns with the hope that there can be a cure for all. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
I am loving all the stories coming from different sectors and this one was no different. I love that now we are getting to the root of the virus and we even have a Fae that can cure it. There is more darkness but also light from those wanting to help and still looking out for each other. I felt for the sexy dragon Liir and his attraction to Ysaria was undeniable. I couldn’t put this down.
Ysaria is far in a world that wants her dead because she is a cure for the Zombie virus, so she runs because she needs to help her brother who is her only way home,
Liir is a dragon shifter and is battling turning into what he is fighting against along with others like him he is pulled to Ysaria and it is a good and bad thing, this story kept me so interested that I read it in one sitting
