New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg, is back with a new Kincade sister and a swoon-worthy football player in an all new standalone romance that will make you believe in first crushes and true love. I’ve signed numerous players to my family’s agency—I assumed winning over my next client would be just as easy. The last thing I expected was to run into the boy who took my first kiss and … expected was to run into the boy who took my first kiss and broke my heart: only now Drew Bowman is all grown up.
Sexy. Scandal-tainted. Second-string. The crush I never got over.
I tell myself work is the reason I can’t get him out of my head. I tell him his talent far outweighs his position, and I know I can help. I lie and lie, because admitting that I want a second chance at my first love is impossible.
Some lines cannot be crossed, and ours was drawn in the sand years ago.

I’m supposed to hate her.
I’ve been told so time and again for ten years – her father ruined our family, smeared my name before my career even began.
But that’s not what I’m feeling now.
Brexton Kincade just strode out of my memories and onto my field.
Driven. Determined. Grown up. The Capulet to my Montague.
Being with her would be an unforgivable sin against my father, but I can’t resist the pull between us. Even if it means hiding what we have. Even if it means confronting the secrets I’ve always feared were lies.

These Kincade women are so awesome and I just. Can’t. Get. Enough! They all have distinctive personalities and it seems that each story is better than the last.
The Kincade and Bowman families were lifelong friends, spending long hours with each other and taking vacations together as one big family. Then a devastating event happened to each family within a couple of months, fracturing the bond between the two families and leaving each of them forever changed, carrying new scars.
Years later, Brexton Kincade runs into Drew Bowman in her duties as a sports agent. All the unrequited feelings each had for the other come rushing back to the surface. Except Drew’s family refuses to acknowledge that any of the Kincades even exist, so those old feelings will just have to remain in the box they’ve been crammed into.
Brexton may be my favorite sister because she isn’t jaded when it comes to love. Although watching someone who is anti-love fall is always entertaining, there’s something a little softer to Brexton that’s really appealing. And she’s going to need those rose-colored glasses with Drew, because this boy is really conflicted and has a bunch of baggage and history to sort through and work out.
Sports romance lovers, this is your series! Let’s see. We also have a bit of friends to lovers, forbidden romance, and second chances, so there’s something sure to please every reader. Add in the entertaining sister dynamic, delightful pops of wit and humor, and steam enough to melt your Kindle, and this captivating, heartfelt read from such a talented pen just can’t miss! Snag your own copy and lose yourself in this intoxicating world. You’re going to love it, guaranteed!
Hands down, my fave of the series so far!! Bratty Brex and Dreadful Drew were everything… *sigh*.
Brexton and Drew have a history, but not a romantic one. Their families were once close until they weren’t, and the why of that was a very intriguing mystery. Ten years later, when paths cross, questions start to be asked but no one seems to know the answers.
Drew is a second string backup quarterback when his ability dictates he should be so much more. Brexton, the sports agent, sees his talent and knows he should be starting every game. Brexton, the woman, sees the extremely sexy man and discovers that her now feelings go beyond her once teenage crush.
Family drama, secrets and lies make anything between them complicated. Although the past complicates things, it’s also what brought them to where they are now…from friends and an unrequited crush to friends again and way more than a simple crush. Drew wants the past to stay there, but is that possible when their future is dictated by whether they can heal and move on? Their chemistry is crazy intense, and while some of their memories are painful, others are very sweet, and just maybe they were always meant to be.
Plenty of tears and swooning were involved, and wow, the smile on my face at the end said it all.
Deep, emotional second chance at love at its finest!!Lana~White Hot Reads
Brexton and Drew are childhood friends who have not seen each other in over a decade. In all of her history of working in sports management, she has not run into him until now. Feelings surface when Drew and Brexton run into each other. Can they put the past behind them for a future. The chemistry between them is off the charts and I think Drew might be my favorite.
All I can say is WOW, what an amazing story! I’m not giving this 5 stars, I’m going infinity stars on this one! It’s that good!
Brexton, sports agent in her family’s business, is out to sign a pain in the butt quarterback and steal him away from their rival. When she’s leaving the arena, she spots someone throwing footballs down on the unused practice field. When she gets closer she realizes who it is, her long time crush and former family friend Drew. She approaches him and she can’t believe the feelings are still there! She can’t seem to stay away from him but will their pasts prevent them from ever being anything special?
Drew has been second string quarterback for a long time. He doesn’t feel he deserves to be the head quarterback with the scandal lurking from years ago relating to his father. When he see’s Brexton, he can’t believe how much she’s grown up, and he’s wildly attracted to her. Can he be the person in her life that she deserves, or will his past history with her family stand in their way?
This book brought out so many emotions, the things Drew went through, and what he does to brings some light to Brexton’s memories of her mom! References to Lake George were a bonus, brought back some of my own memories of my vacations to the cute quaint town!
Kristy just keeps scoring with this series, I love each and everyone! Grab this one asap!
I fell head over heels for Drew, he was so not the typical football star. He was just a normal guy, playing what he loved, battling real life demons. Brexton is smart, funny, independent and playing in a man’s world, but holy she is owning it. These two together seemed to of been an explosion waiting to happen, past meets future. These two have some serious demons to battle apart, but also together. I absolutely LOVED them.
Hard to Score is an absolutely beautiful, and compelling forbidden love story! It was so heart-stoppingly romantic, heart-poundingly poignant, and totally addictive! Brexton and Drew’s families were extremely close, even going on family vacations together every year. Brexton always had a crush on Drew, and during their last vacation, they shared her first kiss. But misunderstandings happened causing Brex to leave heartbroken. Then right after, something unimaginable happens and their families become estranged. Now years later, Brex unexpectedly finds Drew as she is trying to recruit another player to her firm. Old sparks instantly come to life for them both and they can’t stop thinking of the other. Brex seeks out Drew and they easily fall back into their old friendship while enjoying finding out who they are today. Drew loves how Brex grew into an intelligent, confident, breathtaking woman that he can easily talk to. Brex loves how he challenges her, his wit, easy smile, and passion for football. They can’t stay away from each other and their chemistry is explosive. But Drew keeps his family secrets closed up tight, and the betrayal he has endured from the game and people he loves most, makes a barrier that might be too thick for Brex to break through. I love the chemistry between Drew and Brex so much. They fit so perfectly together, challenging each other, their deep love for their families, and their shared passion for football. I loved how romantic and swoony Drew was as he tried to do right by Brex. But my heart also broke for him as he worked tirelessly for those he loved. Bromberg expertly weaved a multifaceted and rich story about love and sacrifice, loyalty and betrayal, passion and heartache so beautifully. This story is so alluring and seductive, and you definitely feel every emotion. I was not ready for it to end. This is a beautiful, emotional, and sizzling romance that is a must read!
Sweet and touching,
Hard to score got me in the feels.
It’s a emotional story about a boy and girl torn apart by a lie. It’s a beautiful story about rising above, finding closure and moving forward with your own life and happiness. It’s a heart breaking story of forgiveness and most of all love.
With every new book in this series, I can’t help but fall deeper for Kristy’s writing, her beautiful story telling, character development and ability to reach down straight to my heart with her words.
5 stars and a mom fact.
Dreadful Drew and Bratty Brex grew up around each other their whole lives and their families were always super close until one summer family drama ensues and Drew’s father places blame on Brexton’s father and it changes everything for them. Braxton always had a crush on Drew but he seems to never notice and years later when gate intervened these two cross paths again. So much time and aged has passed but a text on knows she still harbors feelings for Drew but he can’t seem to let go of the past and his anger. Can these two find a friendship again or will the past sons of their families always haunt them? I loved this read and all the emotions I felt while reading them. Drew and Brexton are amazing characters who the years have changed but attraction and friendship is still there but they have to dig deep to let go of what was to be able to move forward.
Hard to Score is a fabulous read. It’s like star crossed love, mixed with with childhood friends and add in that touch of football and family drama and you get this read you cannot put down. If you have read any of the Play Hard books then you are familiar with the Kincade sisters. This is Brexton’s story. You will love this one when it comes to Brexton tells it how it is with her clients. I like she doesn’t hold back. Then there is Drew the amazing quarter back that hasn’t been given his chance. He struggles with his family relationships and is so caring. You get why he fights the attraction with Brexton in the beginning once you get a little taste of their family history. Brexton and Drew are just so lovely together. There is such a pull you cannot deny. This is probably my favorite couple yet in the Play Hard series. I love that Kincade sisters and how they always have each others backs. I really cannot wait for more from the Kincade sisters. Go one click this one.
Kenyon Kincade definitely did right by his daughters. He raised them all to be strong, compassionate & loyal women. Out of all of his daughters Brex is the most romantic one. She’s been crushing on Drew Bowman since they were kids but assumed he was never in to her. Until they meet up by chance 10 years later.
Drew’s dad did not do right by him. He lied to his family. Lost friends and would not even contemplate explaining himself. Drew has despised the Kincades for 10 years. During that time he has lost faith in his family and himself. He truly believes that he is not worthy of happiness & that is so heartbreaking.
Brex helps Drew to believe in himself & love again. She makes him want more.
Kristy did a beautiful job with their story. We see how they were as kids and how they have always been in each other’s life but just didn’t realize it. Together they make each other stronger. Drew needs that new found strength to confront his father:(
I’m not sure which was more touching his heart to heart with Kenyon or his last wish
5 Dreamy Drew Stars! Another fantastic read by K. Bromberg. This series gets better with each one. Scorching hot chemistry, witty banter and all the feels. Drew is absolutely swoon worthy but has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Brexton is feisty and strong and perfect in many ways for Drew. Throw in a second chance type storyline and it’s PERFECTION. ABSOLUTELY one click this AMAZING story.
What. A. Story! Drew and Brex are a dynamite couple. Their parents were best friends as they grew up and they shared many a vacation together. Brex pined on the sidelines waiting for Drew to notice her. But, young love never blossomed. Then both of their young lives got turned on its axis and years past without them seeing each other. Then one day, they meet again and old histories and feelings get stirred awake.
Their journey was not an easy one for them. There was a lot of their past still interfering with their present. Especially on Drew’s part. I don’t want to get into any specifics about this book. Just start reading and all the emotions will pour out of the writing. I adored this couple. Their chemistry throughout this story, even when they were young, shined. This is a tremendous series by K. Bromberg. But aren’t they all?
All the stars for all the feels.
There’s something about Hard to Score that leaves you feeling all happy and content, makes your toes tingle, and makes you smile big time. It’s got the feel-good factor along with just enough drama to keep you wondering, and more than enough emotion to keep you fully invested in the journey Brexton Kincade and Drew Bowman are about to embark on. Brexton is a true Kincade. A dedicated sports agent who is tough when needed but has enough vulnerability to make her endearing to the reader. She’s no pushover and certainly gives Dekker and Lennox a run for their money when it comes to picking a favourite out of these three sisters. Drew Bowman, a quarterback with abilities others would die for, is sitting in the shadows not using his skills to their full potential, and seems happy to do so. Well, that’s the drama of the story…..is he really happy? Or does he want more? The Kincades and the Bowmans were family friends until it all went wrong and nobody wants to talk about the past or the reasons why. These two are reunited and that’s where the fun really begins. They are fabulous together. They just seem to fit together perfectly. Unfortunately, that’s not what Drew’s father thinks and their relationship is tested. Will Drew confront the demons of his past and confront his father over the unspoken past and the whys and wherefores? Will he choose love over family loyalty? Will Brexton make Drew see his worth and how it’s his turn to shine? It’s so worth the read to find out. K. Bromberg weaves such emotion into this story, it’s beautifully done. The scenes between Brexton and her dad and between Drew and his Mother will have your eyes leaking. Time spent with Brexton and Drew will have you smiling and sighing and smiling some more. Side characters are fab especially Mildred and Charley. Finn Sanderson as always makes an appearance but you might be pleasantly surprised this time. Meeting up with a couple who we adore from a previous book is a very nice surprise. I give Hard to Score all the stars for all the feels.
“Why does it have to be you?”
The third book in the Play Hard series by K. Bromberg is about the third sister in the Kincade Sports Management agency, and this time it is Brexton Kincaid’s turn; the story is so easy to follow and so easy to fall in love with, Brexton and Drew are couple made for each other, and all the angst and the emotions surrounding them is just fantastic. The writing as always is perfect and the plot is truly mesmerizing.
Brexton Kincaide, one of the sports agents at KSM; she’s the sister who wears her heart in her sleeves, she speaks her mind and is not afraid to go after what she wants.
Drew Bowman has been living under the shadow of his father’s sins all his career; he knows he has to fight for what he wants but there comes a time when the fight is just not enough. When Drew and Brexton suddenly cross paths again, there is so much that was left unsaid, but now even if they feel a pull between them, the past won’t let Drew go of all the things that he has carried for so many years, so it is Brexton’s turn to help him figure out what he wants and who does he want.
My favorite one click author-K. Bromberg has a book about to be released and I am just beside myself.
I have loved each and every one of these books in the Play Hard series. Hard to Score is the next book and is Brexton Kincade’s book. Every book is full of angst, sexy push and pull and smoldering heat that Bromberg writes soo well that I have to keep a fire extinguisher close by cuz my Kindle gets overheated!!! lol I know I probably sound like a broken record…but come on…she writes amazzzzing steamy books y’all!!! (Plus I am a sucker for those sports romance books….I have those swoony feelings while reading for sure!!)
Drew and Brexton are childhood friends that have been reunited, well kinda bumped into each other.. Drew knows he should stay away from her due to drama that happened years ago. But he sees Brexton now, all grownup and beautiful. She is soo hard to resist.
Drew is a second string quarterback and Brexton knows his stats, she sees him throwing those killer throws and she wants to bring him on to represent him in her family’s company and possibly be in her life. *wink.wink* She has always thought he was sooo cute when they were younger but he always seemed to look the other way. But y’all the chemistry is off the charts with these two!! I needed them to get past their past…and get together ASAP..haha I’ kinda impatient like that!! <3
I literally just finished this book and sighed and said "ohh my gahhhh I loved this book sooo hard!!!" I even got goosebumps in those last several chapters!!! 5+++++ Stars!!!
