This is an interesting first hand account of prison life. It will encourage one to keep their distance from illegal drugs both using and selling..
LOVED this book!!!!! I read it for free because I wasn’t sure about it. It was so good that I could hardly put it down. I immediately bought the next 2 books in the trilogy. They are true & brutally honest stories, yet with as much humor as one could have in that situation. And the best part is that the author who put himself in that situation, he has learned from it & now is a motivational speaker telling real life stories of what can happen if you get into drugs. Absolutely great read. Highly recommend!
Just a fairly interesting read.
Excellent writing and a story with a great ending. This guy turned his life around.
It was okay
Liked it, was realistic. Was mild of course compared to the real deal. Having 17 years of prison experience seldom is there a book I would give the honor of saying it was close to realistic.
I knew English Shawn for the scene, and this reads just like him talking. He’s a funny, smart and intelligent person. It’s a shame our prison system and legal system is so bad here in AZ.
Great read, can’t wait to read his other books!! Thank you!!
Incredible book and a real page turner. I like to jump around when I read going from one book to another trying to make them last, or just get bored with one. But, this one I stuck with all of the way through. It’s very informative and well written. I don’t ever want to go to jail, I do know that. The racism is probably the worst thing about it.
An unflinching look at prison life, but a bit more graphic than I was expecting.
A tragic, eye opening story. Very well written. Keeps the reader’s attention.
This was a hard to put down book very good read! !
Whining by someone because his jail experience wasn’t 4 star accomodation.
It was an okay read for Urban lit
This book really gave another view into the jail system. The corruption is almost unbelievable, unfortunately real. People may think they feel a certain way about those in society who break the rules, but they may feel differently after reading this.
Didn’t finish. It was tragic that that particular prison/jail system was incredibly terrible. I hope something was done about that. I just couldn’t get past the fact that if you’re smuggling that amount of drugs, you should face the consequences. I got tired of his constant bitching because he was in that crappy jail. I had no sympathy for him. You made your bed.
A Frightening view of Arizona State legal system
Interesting portrayal of live in jail. Makes me even surer that I don’t want to be there.
Awful. After the first two pages I couldn’t read anymore.
So so. Actually difficult to stay interested.
