Sometimes, it takes a firm grip and a big wrench.
Scarlett might be Hollywood’s hottest young talent agent, but when a fixer-upper out in Colorado near her top client goes on the market, she trades glitz and glamor for quaint and rustic.
But there’s nothing quaint about big, hard, buff, and in the buff Sean Tuff—the gorgeous and built local construction foreman she walks in on “testing out” her … “testing out” her outdoor shower. Scarlett’s hired Sean to do some renovations on the new house. But his skilled hands and big…tool have a different job in mind.
Rough, driven, and hard as nails. Sean Tuff put love in his review mirror years ago when he moved back home to start his construction business. He’s not exactly thrilled to be working for the client who out-bid his dream house out from under him. But the second he lays eyes on Scarlett, he knows exactly what else is about to be under him.
She’s all curves, sass and vinegar; he’s all muscles, growls and a walled-off heart. It’s a match destined for a tear-down, but sometimes, all it takes is a firm grip, a little sweat, and a big wrench. Sean’s about to show Scarlett he’s every inch the man for the job.
This is a novella length standalone contemporary romance. Obsessed OTT hero, insta-love, no cliffhanger, and a perfect happy ever after. The “Tuff Built” books can be read in any order.

Construction please!
This was a sweet (but not) story that was fairly predictable, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment. What I think I liked the most, and that was a pleasant surprise, was Sean’s response to “the problem” that presented itself towards the end of the book. Go Sean! I am kind of sad when I look that there does not seem to actually be anymore “Tuff Built” books even though the afterward from the author says there will be. I’d like to watch the rest of the guys find their “one”.
Scarlett is Heather’s agent agent to the stars, she fell in love with Colorado while visiting Heather and her husband . She bought this run down house and needed a contractor and she hired Sean Tuff, Heather’s husband’ boss. When they meet the first time it is explosive and what they have is scorching hot chemistry that can burn down a house! This insta love, delightfully sexy story will keep you entertained with it’s great characters and story. I honestly volunteered to review this arc.
I received this ARC for the second book in the “Tuff Built” series, HARD SCREW, by Jagger Cole. It’s a fun, flirty, opposites attract storyline. Oh, and of course, let me not forget to mention that it’s an instant attraction so things move along at a rather quickly. It was an enjoyable getaway for the afternoon.
surprise in the shower
Scarlett caught Sean in the outside shower.
Sean caught Scarlett in the outside shower.
Needless to say during the renovation of Scarletts house, there are many showers to be had
Never have either one of them felt like this with any other person.
Sean even comes to her rescue with an ex and pummels him until the cops tell him no more.
Hot as sin sex all the time.
Can not wait to see what Jagger has up his sleeves for Jackson.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Hard Screw was another fun read from Jagger Cole. After reading Big Deck I was looking froward to Sean and Scarlett’s book.
While it was as entertaining, hot and dirtily sexy as the first book in the Tuff Built series, it didn’t grab my attention quite the same as Hollis & Heather’s story did, not sure why, but nevertheless, I still enjoyed this romp.
I did like how Sean dealt with the issue that came up between them and the problems that it could have caused. I’m looking forward to more from Mr Cole and hope this isn’t the last in the Tuff Built books.
4*
A fantastically fun, sexy, and flirty story! This is my first read by Jagger Cole and most certainly not my last. Sean and Scarlett had a fantastic connection and a chemistry that was off the charts. I loved the banter between them. Such an incredible read and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Fantastic read. I love this series. Quick steamy read.
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
