There’s a new Prince in town. And he thinks he’s my happily ever after. If only I believed in those. Lance Jacobs. Roseboro’s new Most Eligible Bachelor. He’s the stuff fairy tales are made of. Tall, handsome, strong. A dyed in the wool American hero . . .And if my scheming stepmother has anything to do with it, he’ll be married to my stepsister before he can tap out S-O-S.But he only has eyes for … he can tap out S-O-S.
But he only has eyes for me.
And though my attention is tied up in my new bakery, I know he wants me.
I’ll admit that he makes my heart race, my body pulse, and my mind think of things that are definitely not as sweet as my famous cupcakes.
I can’t help but think Lance would make a great Mr. Right . . . Now.
I don’t trust him to be more than that.
Don’t trust any man after having my heart broken one too many times.
Even if he does make me want to break all my rules.
Makes me want to take a chance.
To believe again.
Could he finally be my happily ever after?

I absolutely loved this book! Definitely need to read the first two books in the dirty fairytales series now. Smart, sexy, suspenseful and funny.
Cinderella was one of my favorite fairytales, but always felt like she should have stood up for herself. In this book not only does Charlotte eventually stand up for herself, her prince charming also verbally smacks down her family! She obviously has issues with trust and loyalty from her bio/step family, but she makes her own family unit with Mia, Izzy, etc. Lance is patient enough to show her his love and she realizes she can have a happily ever after too.

Talk about being swept off your feet by Prince Charming! ~ A delectably dirty, pure alpha Navy Seal with a penchant for saving lives and going after what he wants, type of Prince Charming that is.
When Lance Jacobs sets his eyes on the fierce and independent Charollete Dunn, it’s game over for any meddling matchmaking family members!
While Lance is trying to bridge the gap in his family, the flames grow between him and the witty baker- but so does the tension, a deadly war has been going on in his hometown between Blackwell and Goldstone, and Charlotte is smack dab in the middle of it!
OH MY! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Prince among yummiest of men! I swear Ms. Landish keeps outdoing herself with every one of the Dirty fairytales! Flaming heat, searing tension, humor, and suspense- I could go on… seriously my fellow readers I did not want this story to end!
The perfect mash-up of my favorite fairytales with some adult goodness and an intricately woven story that grabs me from the first page and holds on for dear life to the very last- yeah, its pretty clear I am all about the fantastical world Ms. Lauren has created! I know this is book three and supposed to be the conclusion- magnificent way to go ( btw ), but I would be all for the continuation with Hansel and Gretel!
#MustRead Wish I could give this more than 5 stars book!

I thought that this book was fantastic. A modern retelling of the Cinderella, It is sweet, funny, emotional dramatic and steamy. Lots of twist and sizzling chemistry help the story to capture and hold your attention. I loved Charlotte and Lance. Char has some emotional baggage that needs to be overcome, but Lance, being the swoon worthy hero he is works at it to win and woo the heart of the woman he wants. An excellent addition to this wonderful series.
The final saga in this twisted and dangerous series where revenge is taken to a higher level. It depth in the mind of a evil, delusional and heartless person who considered anyone as a pawn in his game for greed. Curtis Blackwell treacherous determination to take down Goldstone and anyone associated with him was filled with deadly and disturbing actions. There are so many layers to this book including greed, turns and twists, manipulation, bribery and betrayal.
Lance Jacobs, a retired Navy Seal after 10 years of service returning home per his parents request. It was a set-up for potential marriage arrangement but he was sidetracked by a down to earth, gorgeous redhead name Charlotte Dunn.
Charlotte Dunn is the friend of Mia Karakov, Isabella “Izzy” Turner and Thomas Goldstone, CEO of Goldstone Enterprises. She is also the owner of a new bakery, Cake Culture where she work a charity event for her friend Mia. A shocking entry of her father, stepmother (the wicked witch), stepsister and most importantly an handsome man name, Lance Jacobs. It was immediately electrifying and a swoon worthy moment for Lance and Charlotte.
I’m so glad to see that we are getting more from the other characters in the books and new characters that are interesting such as the mysterious Jonathan and Steven.

A high heat, dirty-talking romance with a healthy dose of action-packed drama
While each story in this series can be read as a standalone, it’s definitely a richer read knowing who the players are going into this one. This story follows the Goldstone/Blackwell saga while telling the tale of the last of the Mia/Izzy/Char trio.
Char is the fiery redhead, hellbent on believing there is no happily ever after in her future. It’s a merited expectation, since her prior boyfriends have all promised her the world then left her heartbroken. In comes Lance, like a knight in shining armor, to break her expectations and give her the happily ever after she never thought she deserved. But it won’t be easy, there’s family drama on both sides, the stress of a new business, plus the looming threat of Blackwell. But Char has her trusty friends at her side, and Mia and Izzy are there to support her every step of the way.
Lance and Char have chemistry. It’s strong and potent and sparks up each page. There’s love, passion, and enough heat in here to have you blushing. To emphasize, there’s a lot of heat in this story and a whole heck of a lot of dirty talk as well. This is a story about sibling rivalry, betrayal, jealousy, and deception. But it’s also about trust, love, friendship, and family—both blood family and our chosen one.
The writing in on point and has a perfect balance of romance and suspense to keep you turning the page. Though the romance is fast, it’s not instant. I’m not exactly sure of how much time passes, but it felt organic and plausible with the time spent together and the pending crisis hiking up the adrenaline.
As with the prior book in this series, the story is long but the complexity demands it. And the added 3rd POV from Blackwell’s perspective provides a well-rounded detailing of events that builds and ultimately lead to a strong ending in the Goldstone/Blackwell saga. The epilogue wraps up the series. And while I still had a few questions about Char’s business and family, I was smiling at the end.

An amazing sexy Cinderella fairytale type standalone. This well written storyline includes lots of action, drama, suspense, imminent danger and sexy hot romance with lots of surprise twists and turns that definetly caught me off gaurd and blew me away. Their romance has lots of laugh out loud banter and innuendos between Lance and Charlotte. They have interesting, strong, and well developed personalities with an undeniable, passionate, steamy, and hot connection. This storyline creates a fantastic conclusion to the Goldstone-Blackwell conflict that has been brewing in the background through this series. I voluntarily reviewed this definite must read ARC, that has me checking out the rest of the series even though each story can be read as a standalone
Charlotte grew up with a stepmother and stepsister who treated her poorly. She has opened her own bakery to distance herself from them. She meets Lance an ex Naval Officer while attending a gala. He is immediately taken with her but Charlotte’s stepmother has picked him to be with her daughter and has been plotting to accomplish that, but Lance only has eyes for Charlotte. This was another fabulous read in the “Dirty Fairy Tale” series. Well written with wonderful characters and an engaging storyline that kept me turning the pages from beginning to end.

What a book- what a series! I loved Charlotte and Lance so much! Lance comes to town to help his family business- when he meets Charlotte there is great chemistry! Charlotte is starting a new bakery and Lance keeps showing up to help her. Their relationship is slow and not rushed! There is some of the best book banter that is amazing!!
Yes-there are unexpected twists and turns but I couldn’t put this book down!! I love all that Lauren Landish writes and this book does not disappoint!
CHARLOTTE GETS HER MAN
HAPPILY NEVER AFTER was the perfect wrap up for the Dirty Fairy Tales Series and the Goldstone/Blackwell era…..
Lance Jacobs, former Navy Seal comes to Roseboro to help with the family business……Charlotte Dunn (Mia’s And Izzy’s best friend), has lived a “Cinderella” type life with her stepmother/stepsister situation, but Charlotte wants to make her own way and, with Thomas Goldstone’s help, opens a bakery, Cake Culture… Lance and Charlotte have chemistry from their first introduction, and they don’t lose it….ever…..
Enter Blackwell (we even learn his first name in this book)with his Thomas Goldstone vendetta, and the whole family is involved….I loved getting to see so much more of them…(Thomas & Mia, Gabe & Izzy and, especially, Lance & Charlotte), and seeing where they go from there…..
Lots of twists and turns and lots of steam…..I loved this book….Sad to see this series end…..I kinda wanted Jonathan to get a book….

Paulette Review
Book 3 in the Dirty Fairy Tale Series and what a book we got! I couldn’t wait until LL gave us Charlottes book and gahhh…it was perfect.
Charlotte is opening her new bakery and really she doesn’t have time for a relationship.
Lance Jacobs is back home in Roseboro after getting out of the Navy. Coming home to help with the family business.
One night these two meet and everything changes. Lance sees Charlotte and his world begins to change yet again. We follow as outside forces make it hard for these two but as always love wins out.
This is one of my favorite series from Lauren Landish and one EVERYONE needs to read.
Highly recommended.
Happily Never After is book 3 in the Dirty Fairy Tales series by Lauren Landish. This book is about Lance Jacobs a retired Navy Seal & most eligible bachelor and Charlotte Dunn and independent woman who owns her own bakery. When Lance and Charlotte meet their chemistry is off the charts. This book has twist and turns, some suspense, drama and of coarse steamy hot romance. I was hooked from the first page. I highly recommend this book and this series.
Lance is a man who knows what he wants. Strong, capable and mature. I loved his character!!! Not a jerk or a man-ho.
Charlotte has many hurts and insecurities to deal with, and Lance is patient with her. Charlotte is a contradiction in some ways. She’s portrayed as strong and capable, so it seems she would have dealt with her family issues more assertively and sooner than she does.
Charlotte’s stepmom and sister are a bit overdone. I get these are semi-fairytale retellings, but the pair are eye-roll material.
You really need to have read the other books that came before this one in the series to know who all the characters are, who the bad guy is, and what his deal is. I had not read any of the prior books, and although i could follow along Ok and enjoyed the book, I think it would have been better if I’d read one and two.
I was able to guess who the secret bad guy was very early on. No spoilers from me, however! You’ll have to see if you can figure it out!
It has a HEA and no angst-type drama (which I dislike). Has a lot of sex scenes, which I think were a bit gratuitous— Landish is a great writer and I didn’t think it needed all those scenes to make a good book. I don’t have a problem with sex on the page, but gratuitous page filers are not my thing.
It has a major external sub-plot and that was mainly where I could have benefited from reading the prior books. It moves along with action as well as romance, which you expect in a book full of rich guys, former military men, a reformed hit man, and the beautiful ladies who love them.
All in all, I enjoyed it. It has some funny parts, some poignant parts, and I liked Charlotte’s spunky personality.

Navy seals lieutenant commander lance is back home in roseboro for family issues .plus there is the issue join in with Blackwell. Awesome story 10 stars
Wow.
What a spectacularly perfect ending for these 3 friends.
Mia, Izzy and Charolette went through so much together. From family dramas, to people trying to kill them, to finding love in unexpected ways.
I laughed, I squealed, I cried.
In other words…
I LOVED this book and all the others.
Charolette and Lance were on fire…
Their desert inuendo game was on point and they had me melting a few times from the sweetness.
I would highly recommend this book.
Happy reading!

PHENOMENAL!
So Darn Good! Exciting, intense, drama, tantalizing chemistry, a flurry of emotions, engrossing twists and an amazing hot spin on this fairy tale. A perfect story that deserves more than five stars. I didn’t just enjoy it, I flipping LOVED it.
Yummy! Dessert never sounded so good and wickedly hot all at the same time. I loved how the author’s play on words satisfied your sweet tooth and sexy times. Who wouldn’t love a dirty talking military hero who can perform in the bedroom and can whip up a mean buttercream. Of course I’m talking about icing. Lance and Charlotte are perfect for each other. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars instead of 5 is I don’t like insecure woman who are old enough to not still have those insecurities of self worth. I love all of the characters even the villains because they enhanced the story.

Wow, what a book! It is absolutely fantastic and quite the page-turner! This story hooked from the beginning and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. It is well written with a well-developed plot and moves along at a brisk pace. The nefarious acts and plots, suspense, action, witty and colourful banter, and humour kept my heart racing. The characters are amazing and perfect together; their chemistry is instant, potent, and off the charts. The overlapping of characters from the previous book in the series adds to the high level of excitement and is necessary for the series arc. This book is guaranteed to knock your socks off; it could not have been better in my opinion. Definitely recommended!

Happily Never After by Lauren Landish is book Three in the Dirty Fairy Tales Series. This is the story of Charlotte Dunn and Lance Jacobs. I have read the previous books (and Loved Them!) and there is a underlining story line going on but I feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Lance is an ex Navy Seal who has returned to Roseboro to help with the family business and to get his footing back of being a civilian. Lance’s mother has some matching making in mind for him but he isn’t in that mind set of finding a wife. When he meets Charlotte at a event that thought starts to change about being with someone seriously. Charlotte is working to make her new bakery Cake Culture be a success. What she doesn’t need is a relationship nor does she need the upset of her step mom, step sister who have eyes on Lance for a relationship with her step-sister.
But Lance has a way of working his way into her life that is making it hard just to be centered on her business.
I am so in love with this series and Ms. Landish’s writing. I can never put one of her books down when I start reading it…its impossible for me to do so. This book was no different and I hope to read more from this author and this series soon.
