Two childhood friends. An abandoned cabin in the woods. A lazy weekend reminiscing together. It was supposed to bring them closer together; to provide healing for their broken friendship. Zoe Kate was accustomed to being alone. She was left alone when her parents and sister all died on the same day. She was left alone when her best friend, Adam Boggs, went away to college and stopped writing … writing home. Shy and socially awkward, she spent most of her time…alone. When Boggs contacted her out of the blue, though, she agreed to see him.
Standing on the porch of a dilapidated cottage, Zoe and Boggs go from zero to sixty when a dead man stumbles out of the woods. They are thrown together in a race to find safety in a world where the rules of nature have suddenly been rewritten and the line between life and death has reversed direction.
As they Zoe and Boggs flee the city, it’s not long before they realize the end of the world is upon them. Stopping at a gas station on the outskirts of town, they cross paths with a lone man named Gus who will become critical to their survival. Together the three head to the mountains, where their new lives amongst the dead begin. Others will join them, and others will leave them. They will face horrors and tragedies beyond imagine. They will grow together, and they will break into pieces together.
The dead will evolve.

Introduced me to Zombie genre. Out of all the books out there, the Grace Series (5 total) is STILL the best. Good story line, not just killing, eating, killing, eating, noise. There was a good story in all 5 books.
I Loved this series, but I am a zombie/post apocalyptic reader. It has everything Love, Loss and Excitement. Something about it that I didn’t want to stop reading and when the series ended in was lost.
Readable but a bit formulaic also one of 6 or 7 …
An avid apocalypse fan, I found the book to be one of the best I’ve read in a long time. Surprising storyline with unique characteristics, unlike the usual zombie/infected books, it takes you for a turn that is hard to get away from. Will be reading the next books in the series as well.
I would give it more stars if I could. I haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a very long time.
The book is good, overall. Good premise, the story reads easily. I, personally, don’t care for a whiny lead character. Not that people can’t have weakness, or whine, but she whines “all the time” and then suddenly she does something amazing. It just doesn’t ring true to me.
I quite enjoyed it
I read this when it first came out, and I’ve followed the series since. M. Lauryl Lewis has a way with words, and a way with horror. Add in some romance, uncertainty, and a whole lot of danger and it’s easy to see why this series is still going strong. I’d read it, if you’re brave enough.
Interesting
I enjoy these kind of books but I am getting frustrated at books that don’t have an ending. I may wait until I can get a box set to read the rest. I enjoyed it though.
Loved this book! Loved the characters. Can’t wait to read the next installment!
I enjoyed this book ( free selection from Book Bub)
This is book 1 of a series. I’m into book 3 and have found myself captivated.
What a scary book, enjoyed it a lot .
I couldn’t put this book down. I read the whole series in a week!
They are coming to get you! These new zombies do not seem to be following all of the zombie conceptions that Geroge Romero made famous in his Dawn of the Dead series of movies. “Grace Lost” is the first in author M. Lauryl Lewis Grace series featuring Zoe Kate and Adam Boggs who realize that both the undead and the living can kill you that first …
I’m enjoying the series, with one caveat.. the ending of each book is quite abrupt, forcing you to purchase the next in the series. They’re definitely not stand-alone. That being said, I’ll continue with the series.
Well written and a total page turner!
This was an exceptional book. I found it very hard to put it down. Was continually wanting to know what was going to happen next.
I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
