It’s been twelve years since the undead hordes swept over the earth forcing mankind to the brink of extinction. We now live like rats, scavenging in the ruins of our fallen civilization as the dead hunt us night and day. There is little left to scavenge, however. Grocery stores were emptied ages ago, gas tanks have long been dry and bullets are so precious that a man is lucky to have two to his … his name.
Still, we survive.
But for how much longer? Instinct and love have combined to turn Darwin’s theory on its head. The strongest didn’t survive in this world. They were the first to die, leaving behind a generation of orphans.
It’s a generation that’s never had a full belly. It’s a generation that has no idea what an Xbox did, or what algebra is for. It’s a generation of children who never laugh out loud, and who have learned to cry softly because the dead are always near and the dead are always so very, very hungry.

Jillybean is one of the most unique, interesting characters I’ve read about in years, and the writing is fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about Peter Meredith’s Generation Z series – a not-to-be-missed read for zombie apocalypse fans.
Good book
Good read enjoyed it
I put off reading this book because I figured it’s just the typical zombie story. I am so glad I decided to read it. It was a really good read and it kept me interested the whole time
I enjoyed the book but I had a problem whenever the zombies were referred to as breathing and growing. Scary thought but I just didn’t buy it.
Not a fan of zombie books but I did enjoy this trilogy. You really have to suspend belief at some of the protagonist’s actions/accomplishment but hey, it’s a zombie book so you’re already out there.
This is a page turner. Based close to the water and it is fast paced.
Don’t like serial type books but it was good.
Haven’t finished this book, but even so i can rate it right now, i really like it.. A little slow at the start, but it starts building up to some real exciting zombie scary moments. It’s very entertaining and unpredictable, can’t wait to get back to it and find out how it ends. If you are a zombie fan, than this book is for you, you’ll love it.
Interesting take on the zombie genre. Takes place 12 years after a zombie apocalypse and the authors take on it is different and refreshing. Worth a read
A great twist on the zombie genre.
I loved this book and I am going to read more by this author.
Interesting read. Thanks!
If you like The Walking Dead, you’ll enjoy this read.
I like a good “post zombie apocalypse” book just as much as the next nerd, but this one really had me going. I was disappointed to finish this book and wish it had been another couple hundred pages.
This start to a new series 10 years later from the undead world series is awesome and of course our favorite little angel Jillybean is still up to her ,Taking care of business self,Read on folks you will be entranced from the get go.
I love the characters in this book, especially Jillybean but I truly found favorites in the new characters that were introduced. I did not expect the twists and turns within this series. This is must read!
This book contains the best novel character ever written. This man deserves way more recognition for this character. Split personality’s in a zombie apocalypse, can it get any better?
I could not finsh this book. The story wander around so much that it did not feel like there was any story or direction at all.
Tragic, sorry I spent the money on this book.
