In this electrifying sixty-page companion novella to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, discover the fate of the Omega Point rebels as they go up against The Reestablishment. Set during and soon after the final moments of Unravel Me, Fracture Me is told from Adam’s perspective. As the Omega Point rebels prepare to fight the Sector 45 soldiers, Adam’s more focused on the safety of … Sector 45 soldiers, Adam’s more focused on the safety of Juliette, Kenji, and his brother. The Reestablishment will do anything to crush the resistance . . . including killing everyone Adam cares about.
Fracture Me sets the stage for Ignite Me, the explosive third installment in Tahereh Mafi’s epic dystopian series. It’s a novella not to be missed by fans who crave action-packed stories with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu.
Don’t miss Defy Me, the shocking fifth book in the Shatter Me series!

Fracture Me is a great segway novella between Unravel Me and Ignite Me. It is worth reading. You get more Kenji and James, which are two of my favorite characters in the series. Which is a big plus. However, I have a problem with Adam’s POV, the rules of society, and the bad action scenes. It’s still a good novella to read, but it backtracked too much into Unravel Me that it didn’t offer enough unique value until the end.

Fracture Me is the second novella in the series. The first novella was told from Warner’s point of view and it was very interesting. That one gave us what we did not know about Warner’s personality. Fracture Me is narrated from Adam’s perspective. It focuses more on Adam’s inner thoughts and his relationship with his brother James.
I don’t know what Tahereh Mafi wanted to achieve with this book. Are we supposed to like or dislike Adam? I don’t know. To me, he was neutral throughout this short story. Nothing new was presented about his personality. What I really liked about this novella is James and him calling his brother Addie! It was good but could be skipped without missing anything.
Adam’s allegiance
This is a short novella that shows Adam’s side of the ending of book 2
To be honest because I read this straight after finishing book 2 there’s a lot of it that is just repeated chapters of book 2 with slight differences from Adam’s perspective.
I think it would have been more effective to have ended slightly earlier in book 2 and had the last couple of chapters of this nevella as the ending instead .
I can’t say too much more as it gives away a huge moment of the books – I’m not sure where the story goes next but a cliff hanger moment would have been very effective . I’m left underwhelmed after reading this one – and it had brought doubt to me about who Adam is …
(I do feel like the author is pushing anyone on team Adam for the romantic interest to let him go at this point ..)
So getting to see inside of Adam’s head doesn’t make me like him more. It does however give me appreciated perspective into his thoughts. I think he made the right call putting James first. He is responsible for his brother and their relationship is a beautiful thing. He should let Juliette go. They just don’t work together. I’m super excited for the next book in this series!!
This novella takes place during and after book 2 of the Shatter Me series and this time we follow Adam’s perspective after he has been separated from Juliette during the battle.
I thought this was a very decent read and I loved how it focuses on friendship and family. My heart almost broke when Adam thought he lost what is the most precious to him but thankfully everything was (almost) okay but there were other tragedies going on.
The fact that he and the others don’t know Juliette’s true status just breaks my heart and I really hope that they get reunited to her soon.
This novella gets a 4 stars from me.
