I only had one rule: don’t fall in love with the cruel prince.I broke it.When the clock struck twelve, I went back to being a servant. He promised to let me go with my heart in pieces…but Grayson Crowne always was king at breaking promises.I refuse to let him lock me in a tower.I have no choice but to take the only out offered me—another cruel prince.Refuge in a man I loathe.Rescued from the … prince.
Refuge in a man I loathe.
Rescued from the man I love.
I wanted to forget Grayson, forget Crowne Hall, and hide, however fate has other plans.
But if Grayson and I are fated, then our fate is forbidden.
Our happily ever after will only end one way…in heartbreak.
Forbidden Fate is the third book in the Crowne Point universe. You need to have read Stolen Soulmate to read Forbidden Fate.

Mary and her captivating book, Forbidden Fate, have made me feel emotions that I never knew existed. I’m torn up in ways you cannot imagine.
Every page unleashed a new feeling from anger to hysterical laughter, then back to pure rage mixed with a little bit of WTF!
I’ve lost pieces of my soul along the way but this angsty, dark romance is just another addictive, heart stopping 5 star read from one of the most incredible authors. The twists, turns and the roundabouts throughout make this book entirely unpredictable.
Mary took the word Fate and truly gave us the definition of the word. Fate is bliss but can be cruel. I’ve died a thousand, painful deaths within the world of Crowne Point but still I come back for me.
Grayson & Story share a love so deep yet so very painful and tragic. It’s a wonder if they will survive it, let alone the readers! Steam, angst, forbidden romance…what could you possibly be waiting for,
I lived for every word of this mind blowing book, and if you haven’t already, journey into the world of Crowne Point and you will have absolutely no regrets.
Every great love comes with a price and everyone who wishes to live a love like that has to pay a price. You have to be deserving of your love so in doing that you have to give your all for it even if it’s against all odds. That’s exactly the case for Gray and Story. Every page, every word that you read gets absorbed into your very soul. You’re not just reading this book…oh no…..you are living it, breathing it and feeling it with all your being!
I can’t wait for the continuation of this series and if you haven’t start it yet please do because I can guarantee you will love it!
Wow….wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. This book is just….I am at a loss for words. This is only the second book I have read from this author but OH MY GOD I love her writing so much! All that delicious angst just burning through the pages, making me feel so much. This book hit my heart hard!
After the first book I was dying to read this one, I needed to get my hands on it ASAP. Right from that first page I was hooked, I didn’t want to do anything but live in this world with these characters. This book made me scream, it made me cry, it tore me apart and it warmed my heart. This book is one of my top reads for 2020, no doubt about it.
These characters burned through the pages. The chemistry between Story and Gray was doing major heat damage to my kindle. Holy heck! I was about to put it my freezer to cool it down! I freaking loved it! I loved how emotional I was towards all the characters, I wanted to hug them, slap them, leave them out in the cold..GAHHH, I love it when a book can make me feel this way.
The author writes in such a way that we are completely transfixed. You can not put this story down for anything. The words create a world so vivid that you feel like you are part of it. I am in awe of this book, and also the one before it. I just love them so much.
4 STARS
Mary Catherine Gebhard is an amazing writer and she has weaved a story that is absolutely intense! The continuation of Grayson and Story’s journey will inflict carnage to you mind and you will wish for it to end! You won’t know whether to love or hate them, but trust me that you don’t want to miss reading about them!
Forbidden Fate by Mary Catherine Gebhard is a MUST read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!
My previous review of ‘Whoa, just whoa” still stands strong. It is been a few days since I reached ‘The End’ and I am still gob smacked! I was so anxiously excited to read Forbidden Fate with Gray and Story that when I got FF it was a ‘don’t bother me, leave me alone and no phone use’ scenario. Forbidden Fate just cemented my love for them, along with one of my ‘Best of 2020’.
Going into FF, I knew that MCG would take us on a ride. She is a master at delivering all the feels, but in a non-conventional way. I found myself going in with some pre-conceived notions on where she will take us next. What I did not expect was the path she took us on to get to ‘The End’. Just when you think you might have an idea where this will end up, she will take you on another twist and turn. Beware!
Through MCG’s excellent writing, I felt transported into the storyline. I knew, I just knew, that there was going to be angst, heart in your throat, moments of disbelief, tears, and many episodes of hot passion for Gray and Story. MCG did not disappoint. Forbidden Fate has all the feels!! It was perfectly imperfect!!!
Mary definitely holds up her reputation as The Reader of hearts!
Without a doubt this is a MUST Read!
This continuation of Stolen Soulmate for Gray and Story breaks you and puts you back together repetitively. It’s so emotionally driven that Mary makes it feel like you’re there in Crowne Point feeling what these characters are feeling!
You will definitely feel every emotion while reading Forbidden Fate. This is the first book that I was equally excited and nervous for!
My excitement level for this book was over the top. I knew it would be tough to read at times. I knew there would be obstacles for Gray & Story, and angst galore. But MCG took this book to a WHOLE other level of angst. I kept waiting for the moment where I could release my breath – but it never came. The moments between Gray & Story are so HOT one moment, and then they are doused by a hurricane of doubt, resentment, and betrayal in the next.
Their passion for each other hit a high that brought tears to my eyes, and then those tears turned into heartache in the next breath. I was literally in shock with some of the decisions that were made by each of them. I was hurt. Heartbroken. Wanted to throw my kindle. I cursed out the author. And I ALMOST did not finish because their story took me to a place which is a hard limit for me in romance. But I had faith in MCG that she would get me through it, and in the end…she did. This author somehow writes beautiful prose while weaving it throughout a heart-wrenching tale. She managed to redeem a hero who I had little faith in going into this book, and I fell for him more than any other character in this story. My heart broke for him over and over again.
I had my heart in my throat for the majority of this book. I felt every emotion and push and pull. I did not only read this book – I LIVED it. But I would not have had it any other way. Sometimes we all need a story that pushes our boundaries and this is definitely one of those for me. I am not ready to leave this world and can’t wait for what’s to come! Bravo MC Gebhard! Well done once again!
*4.5 Forbidden Stars*
“Fate is a thread; you can tie it in a thousand knots but you’ll always come to the same end.”
Mary has once again DESTROYED my soul after reading one of her stories.
Whenever I finish a book and it’s time to review, I always ask myself, “Did I just cruise through the book with no feeling? No emotion to the story? Did I connect with the characters? Did the book utterly destroy my soul to where I’ll be feeling it’s effects for days.. weeks to come?” That. THAT’S what Mary does to me with her words.
She has spun a world with her words that leaves me with my heart in my throat EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
“This hell was too beautifully designed not to be fate.”

OH MY HEART, everything in me screams and hurts so bad. And kinda good because I’m a sucker for emotional torture. Forbidden Fate took all the angst, pain and heartbreak from Stolen Soulmate to the next level. You might cry and need some alcohol encouragement and a new kindle. But you will LOVE IT!!! Every second of it. I didn’t think it was possible but Forbidden Fate’s just dethroned all the books I read this year, Stolen Soulmate included. I swear Mary Catherine Gebhard must have been on steroids or something when she plotted the demise of her readers.
Cannot wait for Gemma’s story! I can tell, Grim is gonna be intense.
Overall Rating – +
Don’t you just love books that make you feel so much? I’m not talking about the good feels, I’m talking about the heart pumping, mind thumping, why am I reading this, anxiety feels!! I didn’t think I’d survive it and at only 10% in I was ready to stop reading to save my heart, but I went on unable to put it down!
FF is NOT a standalone, please make sure you have read Stolen Soulmate before you dive into this one.
After the jaw-dropping ending of SS, I have never needed a book so much. I won’t go into much detail as I think going in blind and fully immersing yourself in the story is the only way to go but it is so much more than Gray and Story. There is lies, deceit, family ties, age-old traditions, angst for days and moments that will break you.
What became apparent for me during this book was how much I LOVED Gray! At the ending of SS, I don’t think I’ve ever hated a hero as much and there is a lot of a**hole hero’s out there! For me, the way he unravels, unable to control situations, his obsession over Story, the fear that eats away at him, between being good, being a man and being there for his family makes the man crazy! Thus making him absolutely hilarious and I laughed so many times at the things he said and done. I loved how Mary got totally into his head.
Story, the girl deserves it all after everything she is put through and I loved the stronger character she became.
Gray and Story don’t have it easy, so be warned, they both have strong morals, trying to be good and not failing themselves. And I won’t go into how many times I wanted to bang their heads together.
As I said at the beginning, this book made me feels so much and took me out of the real world and planted me firmly in Crowne Point (where I want to stay!). Stolen Soulmate was my top read of 2020 but this book has come right in and toppled it off the top spot and believe me when I say you don’t want to miss Gray and Story. Mary holds nothing back giving us a story we won’t forget. A MUST MUST MUST read!
ARC received for an honest review – thank you

Son. Of. A….
REALLY MARY??
The woman is evil!
Mary, the name seems innocent, she looks innocent… However, the books she writes are far from innocent. They are sinister, they are gut-wrenching, they are dark, twisted, and have my mind on overdrive trying to piece together the story and that is exactly what I love about them.
Grayson and Story’s isn’t something out of a fairytale. There are so many twists and turns you do not see coming. It’s not an easy ride to be on and it will rip hard at all your emotional heartstrings. I went from happy, to sad, to angry, to ready to rip shreds and curse the author out in a matter of one book, but did I love every single minute of it, every single word? YES… HELL YES, I DID!
These two are destruction, they bounce off each other in the most intense and cruel ways. Vicious, cruel, and controlled. The games, betrayals, the lies and the secrets… ALL OF IT. It was overwhelming. It was intense, it was addictive and all-consuming. I love these two but I hate them as well, but I love them… Gah!
It is evil… It’s riddled and haunted with dark twists that blindsided me and had my heart pounding outside of my chest, my jaw hitting the floor and my mind reeling. Even days after, I sit here completely consumed…
Throughout the last two books, this one would honestly show the most growth and development went it came to the characters. More to the point Story. Her strength in this book alone floored me and I was in complete awe in the way the author has written it out. She’s become one of my favorites leads ever.
This would have to be one of my top reads for 2020 so far and one I know I will be going back and re-reading. It was epic, it was intense, it was mind provoking, and it was tragically beautiful. It was perfect!
Worthy of more than 5 Stars!
Forbidden Fate by Mary Catherine Gebhard, really blew me away. I was enthralled with Grayson and Story from page one. This author is so talented at getting you hooked on her writing. Gebhard takes you in this emotional rollercoaster and even after finishing the book, I am still reeling from that ending. Forbidden Fate is the third installment of the Crowne Point series and as of right now, it’s one of my favorites. The drama that comes with this couple is both interesting as it is sexy. Their relationship is an intense one that comes with many trials and tribulations. I highly recommend reading the book!
This hell was to beautifully designed not to be fate …
“If our fate is forbidden, than I’ll live as a fugitive .”
This book was absolutely phenomenal hands down my favorite read of 2020 !!! I’ve been done with this book for a little over a week now and I still can’t come up with the words to do this book justice. This love story is real it’s raw and tragically beautiful, the emotions that are still going through me ugh what can I say other than Mary Catherine Gebhard is a word genius or wizard however you look at it and she has definitely created a world that I’m highly invested in , my heart my soul beats for these characters and I’m left in awe after reading Forbidden Fate . Gray and Story’s journey is not easy by any means but what true love story is ? Definite must read and definite 5 stars from me! This author slayed me with her word magic in the best way possible thank you thank you for creating a world that takes my mind off of my reality even if it’s just make believe and it’s just for a little bit, I so look forward to more of the Crowne world and can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for us !
*** ARC GIVEN FOR MY HONEST OPINION ***
As an avid reader I love a variety of books, this one is in a league of its’ own. This book was gut wrenching and angsty unlike any book I’ve ever read to the point I wondered how my emotions could survive. Still Forbidden Fate was poetic and the pages were filled with Story and Grey’s epic love. Mary left me on the edge of my seat from the first word to the very last never knowing what would come next. When I read Stolen Soulmate my expectations were shattered, so going into Forbidden Fate i left all my guesses as to how the story would progress at the door. It was so worth it to constantly feel shocked and awed by the various directions this story took. Story and Grey are truly special characters that deserved an incredibly special telling of their journey and Forbidden Fate does exactly that. I fell in love with Grey even more while continued to be impressed by Story’s fortitude. The characters are constantly developing while the plot still moves forward, which is a big must in my favorite books. Easily one of the best books to be released in 2020! I received an ARC for honest an review.
“I did. I did choose you. I will always choose you. I blew up and will blow up this world for you.”
I am pretty sure I am a glutton for punishment because the angst and the heartbreak that this book made me feel, I LIVED FOR IT. With that being said, I am broken. My heart is figuratively in a million broken pieces lying on the floor right now. One thing after the other just broke apart my heart in this book… I. Am. Not. Okay. I need closure! I need answers!!! Talk about a freaking book hangover, and a CLIFFHANGER on top of it… This is still so fresh in my mind even though I finished it over a week ago. It’s been a long time since a book has made me feel this much angst and brokenness. Like, absolutely broken. The character’s pain is my pain. I feel it deep, deep down in my heart. My eyes were legit burning with tears that I so desperately wanted to cry.
This is the third book in the series and continues telling Story and Grayson’s story. It’ll be too difficult for me to explain what is going on in this book without giving anything away, so just know that I am rooting sooo hard for Grayson and Story, you have no idea. There is so much push and pull between Story and Grayson, along with lies, secrets, plot twists you just do not see coming, and so, so much more! I could nooottttt put this book down!!!!! There is such powerful love in this story, and they’re doing everything they can to be together, but there is still so much against them.
A surprise wedding, two surprise pregnancies, death threats, revenge and more. This story has me wondering how stupid can these characters actions will continue to get. I want to feel bad for Lottie but I just can’t. The back and forth between Gray and Story is getting ridiculous. Just when I think things will work out for them Story goes and does something crazy. West finally reveals his hidden motive and I can’t believe that Story just goes for everything. I just can’t understand her character actions and I was hoping she would smarten up in this story but she let me down big time. If readers are looking for a strong heroine in a story she is not it. I’m starting to like Gray a little more because at least he is fighting for what he wants. I hate what’s going on between him and Lottie but he let her know how he felt from the beginning. Gray’s family is a mess especially his grandfather. I’m waiting for someone to take him out because he needs to go asap. There’s one more book to this series and I feel like I want to know what happens but then at the same time I’m wondering if I want to waste more time on this series because these books are not short. This story was okay but this series is a one time read for me.
Omg. I don’t think I’ve ever found a book that has frustrated me more than this one and I absolutely loved every single second. The pain and the angst and the emotion of this story was absolutely a physical feeling. Gray and Story have stolen my heart. I want to fix everything for them. I can’t wait for the rest of this story!
5+ Stars
I thought the first two books in the series were great but thus one is even greater. It’s so intense! The rules and responsibilities that are forced upon an heir is strangulating.
My heart breaks for Grayson and Story.
The story is complex and beautifully written. The love, the chemistry, the pull that draws them together and the intimate scenes are what makes this book amazing!
When I tell you I finished this in one sitting, you best believe I sat on the same spot on my bed for 8 hours straight reading the hell out of this book. Forbidden Fate is the continuation of Stolen Soulmate and is the third book in the Crowne Point Series. Ahhhh! How do I even begin to describe what this book, what this series and this author does to me? It’s probably not good for me, AT ALL, but I like what it does to me.
This book is literally angst personified. Holy shit, I’m literally tearing up writing this review, because I haven’t had a book move me so much in forever. I don’t know how to explain it without completely spoiling it. But there is so much back and forth, so many ups and downs, you’ll literally feel zig-zagged sideways by the time you finish. Just when you thought they were gonna get their chance, amidst all the secret looks, the cheeky touches, and the desperate kisses, fate decides it’s just not meant to be. And that fucking BROKE me!
It’s so fulfilling watching how much Story has grown as a person, and the lengths she’ll go to protect the people she loves. It’s so heartbreaking to watch Grayson adapt to a helpless situation, and the lengths he’ll go to protect HER. But alas, fate always gets in the way. There are definitely moments you will rage the fuck out and you’ll sob like a baby, but have no doubt, if you didn’t love these two before, you will fall 1000 feet flat on the ground with no cushioning.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this book/series is the best read for 2020. Prove me wrong and fight me because you will never get me to think otherwise.
Forbidden Fate picks up right where Stolen Soulmate leaves off and continues to terrorize your heart and your emotions through out the entire story.
In this book Grayson had to marry the family choice of Lottie for his wife. We follow as Grayson and Story continue to struggle to stay apart, even if they’ve both made promises they can’t seem to keep.
Their broken hearts and dangerous passion for one another cannot keep them apart though, and we watch as everyone’s heart is shattered into pieces as the story continues to unfold. I don’t want to give too much away because then it will ruin your experience if you’re starting from the beginning.
These books are a must read for any romance fan that enjoys all the emotional heartbreak and lust filled reading. Gebhard’s fans are patiently waiting for the conclusion of this train wreck so we can all sleep better at night and stop wondering what exactly happens to this love-doomed couple.
