A Match Made in Heaven?Or Someplace a Whole Lot Warmer? She’s stubborn, educated, and lookingto give women the vote. He’s bullheaded, successful, and lookingto give her a piece of his mind. But when things heat up, they just may give each othera piece of their hearts.
This book was Fabulous. I must read for all.
Ah, Julie Lessman, you’ve done it again. I positively adore this author’s books. Probably every review of hers I write, I will say, “Quick, go buy her entire collection.” (Her O’Conner family series is my favorite!)
For Love of Liberty is the prequel novella to Julie’s new Silver Linings Ranch series. It’s sweet, sassy, and steamy yet clean in the way only Julie has a talent for. She packs a lot of punch into a mere 184 pages, introducing us to a hotheaded couple who are each others’ throats as much as as they secretly want to be on each others’ lips. It’s a wonderful setup for the next book, Love’s Silver Lining, and I’m looking forward to seeing where she’ll take the series from here.
Lessman always creates real characters. One of my favorite Christian authors!
great story
Loved it
This book has very STRONG characters and a lot of tension between the characters that keeps you wanting to keep reading to see what will happen next. I actually love the continuation of the story in the next book even more because of the lessons learned from each of the characters, and the more complex story as more characters are introduced and developed.
Everyone needs to read this book to be informed of the dark forces that are at work behind the scenes and the millionaires who want to take our rights away from us.
The characters were very enjoyable. The story never boring. Fast paced and fun. In short- I loved it!!!
Lots of fireworks in this love story.
I enjoyed Liberty & Finn, but the book was pretty predictable thus my 4 rating. I would, however, read more books by this author.
There were several scenes that had me laughing and a few that were sad. I was disappointed not to learn more of what happened with the railroad, but as this is a prequel, I assume the other books will continue the tale started here.
The story was sweet but a little tiresome, like the character development was somehow forced. I found the conversion of the characters from antagonists to lovers not to be credible. Very readable, good artistry in the writing, i.e. very descriptive, story flowed well, dialog was realistic, etc.
I Loved reading Liberty and Finn’s Story. Both are very smart, very good looking and can not seem to stand each. Liberty is alway trying to win and beat Finn in whatever they are doing. And Finn always seems to be picking on Liberty. This was a great story with a lot of arguing between Liberty and Finn along with funny times. There were also many moments that I found warming my cheeks from the sweetness and innocence of it all that somehow still managed to contain so much passion. Julie Lessman truly has an amazing gift with words. I enjoyed this book so much I was having trouble putting it down to get anything done. I am very much looking forward to reading more from this series, and hope to get more of a glimpse of Liberty and Finn in the other books.
Oh, my goodness! I LOVE these two main characters and their fire for each other! Clearly, they have a lot of growing to do, which I suspect will happen in the first full-length novel in this series, but what an introduction! I thankfully own the next book, so I’ll just keep reading . . .
Too much physical attraction for a historical romance. Other than that it would have been a cute read with a lot of humor. Just not what I expect for Christian fiction.
somewhat silly, but ends happily
Too shallow, could not get interested in this book
Unfortunately the characters constant bickering was too much and stole from the story plot for me.
Great story.
Ended too soon! I wanted to know what happened the next morning!!
