“Fix Her Up ticks all my romance boxes. Not only is it hilarious, it’s sweet, endearing, heartwarming and downright sexy. It’s a recipe for the perfect love story.” – Helena Hunting, New York Times bestselling author of Meet Cute
A steamy, hilarious new romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey, perfect for fans of Christina Lauren and Sally Thorne!Georgette Castle’s … Tessa Bailey, perfect for fans of Christina Lauren and Sally Thorne!
Georgette Castle’s family runs the best home renovation business in town, but she picked balloons instead of blueprints and they haven’t taken her seriously since. Frankly, she’s over it. Georgie loves planning children’s birthday parties and making people laugh, just not at her own expense. She’s determined to fix herself up into a Woman of the World… whatever that means.
Phase one: new framework for her business (a website from this decade, perhaps?)
Phase two: a gut-reno on her wardrobe (fyi, leggings are pants.)
Phase three: updates to her exterior (do people still wax?)
Phase four: put herself on the market (and stop crushing on Travis Ford!)
Living her best life means facing the truth: Georgie hasn’t been on a date since, well, ever. Nobody’s asking the town clown out for a night of hot sex, that’s for sure. Maybe if people think she’s having a steamy love affair, they’ll acknowledge she’s not just the “little sister” who paints faces for a living. And who better to help demolish that image than the resident sports star and tabloid favorite.
Travis Ford was major league baseball’s hottest rookie when an injury ended his career. Now he’s flipping houses to keep busy and trying to forget his glory days. But he can’t even cross the street without someone recapping his greatest hits. Or making a joke about his… bat. And then there’s Georgie, his best friend’s sister, who is not a kid anymore. When she proposes a wild scheme—that they pretend to date, to shock her family and help him land a new job—he agrees. What’s the harm? It’s not like it’s real. But the girl Travis used to tease is now a funny, full-of-life woman and there’s nothing fake about how much he wants her…

Fix Her Up was a complete, utter, unrelenting delight.
Utterly delightful. One of the best brother-best-friend and fake relationship books I’ve read. Tessa Bailey definitely didn’t disappoint! Loved it!
I could not stop smiling. Romantic comedy perfection.
4.5 STARS!
Fix Her Up was adorably witty, sweet, and oh so sexy #rawr. Now, before I get into talking about this wonderful book I should let the cat out of the bag and state that this is my first book read by Tessa Bailey. And yes I know, what the H am I thinking!? (Idk if listening to Reniassance Man counts, hm). Anyways, let’s talk about this book… I absolutely loved it! It was so angsty, le sigh.
Georgette Castle is our heroine. She’s quirky, funny, and states what’s on her mind. Young at heart and for a living she’s a… clown. Literally. I ain’t joking! That alone makes her awesome. But Georgie feels unappreciated. No one takes her seriously nor treats her like a grown woman. That doesn’t stop her from smiling at the world even when the world tends to bring her down. Then one Travis Ford returns to Port Jefferson; the guy she’s always crushed on.
Travis Ford sustains an injury, which ultimately ends his baseball career. Returning back home to Port Jefferson is a rude awakening for him. People only see his status, how famous he once was, and how he used to be a ladies man. Now he’s depressed, angry, and mopes around. Eventually, Georgie shakes him back to reality and makes him see that he’s more then another famous baseball player.
Georgie and Travis form this unlikely friendship. With change and time, Travis begins to see Georgie as a beautiful woman and not as his best friend’s little sister who used to be a pest. Sparks fly. The chemistry is phenomenal. Soon feelings get involved and oh the angst! #feels.
Overall, this story is perfect for audiences who love contemporary romance involving best-friend’s-sister/brother tropes and just a good sexy story that will have you laughing and your heart hurting. I’m definitely excited for the next book in this series!
A bad boy baseball player and a goofy sweetheart? Yes please!
I love brothers best friend stories! And Fix Her Up did not disappoint! Heat and Swoons! Love and some tears! This story is heartfelt, romantic, fun and so enjoyable, you won’t be able to set it down!
Georgie and Travis are a book couple that you instantly connect with. They are easy to love and root for. Opposites. Travis the hotshot baseball player on and off the field. Georgie, silly, big hearted, the girl who’s overlooked. But together these two are magic. They burn up the pages with their intense attraction. And make you smile big with all the swoon-worthy romance.
Travis and Georgie are one passion filled couple, I loved every minute of them getting to know each other. Of discovering new parts of themselves. And their growth through out the story. Tessa Bailey brings to life such addicting stories and compelling characters that you want to know everything about. This group of friends, and the entertaining relationships their share and going to make for such a fun adventure filled series. And I can’t wait to read more!

A steamy audio book. Great narration.
I got my fix
Tessa Bailey is a favourite of mine and she delivers again, I loved it.
Sweet, hot, emotional and a good storyline, this story is precious and probably one I will read again.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Lots of good dialogues
The characters is well described and developed in to realistic personalities, even the secondary characters is so well developed that I really want to read their stories too.
5 stars
This is a hilarious book and I highly recommend it. The heroine is a clown, the hero, a disgraced ex-baseballer struggling through depression. She’s got just the oomph to lift his spirits. I will admit there’s a few little things that bother me about this book, such as the fact that the hero doesn’t become attracted to the heroine until after he sees her all “sexified”. Really unfortunate. But, this book is so funny and cheesy that it’s definitely a great read and you won’t regret it. 🙂
Fix Her Up is a fun and super steamy RomCom. (The heat might be just a tad OTT.) An entertaining listen on audiobook with really good narration.
-3.5 Stars-
Hilarious and smart… it’s a perfect summer read that will make you giggle and snicker and smile.
Can I hammer on the ‘steamy’ button a few times? Because this sweet packaging is lying to you, guys. This is like romcom meets Fifty Shades. It’s sweet and cute and then they get together and BOOM out comes the dirty talking and the filthy, filthy hero…and I am totally here for it. This is raunchy in the bedroom and fun outside of it and so worth the money. I emailed my girlfriend earlier and we had a conversation about how jealous we were that Tessa Bailey was so talented. Basically, just READ THIS.
Bring on the book hangover cause Tessa Bailey did it again.
Travis and Georgette (Georgie) have hilarious banter and the chemistry is red hot.
Georgie has been in love with Travis since they were kids. Noone includinng Travis has accepted Georgie as a serious adult her entire life. She´s always been overlooked and talked over. I feel you Georgie. I feel you girl. Samesies.
Travis whole life has been focused on being successful and prove his father wrong. After an injury makes the big leagues drop him he feels he is failing in his mission. Salvation comes in the form of the town clown in Georgie. She asks if they can form a fake relationship until both their goals can be met, but when lines start to blur and feelings are on the line, what will happen? Will the relatiohship be fake in the end?
I loved Travis and Georgie together so much and even the secondary characters are lovable. I can’t wait for more and will highly be recommending this read!
FIX HER UP is the first instalment in Tessa Bailey’s contemporary, adult HOT AND HAMMERED erotic, romance series. This is twenty-eight year old, former professional baseball player Travis Ford, and twenty-three year old, birthday clown Georgette ‘Georgie’ Castle’s story line.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Georgie and Travis) FIX HER UP follows the fake relationship trope between twenty-eight year old, former professional baseball player Travis Ford, and twenty-three year old, birthday clown Georgette ‘Georgie’ Castle. Travis Ford’s life has spiralled out of controlled since the career ending injury left him without a direction in life. Heading home with his tail between his legs Travis will come face to face with his best friend’s younger sister, a little girl who is now all grown up. When the second opportunity of a life-time is offered to our story line hero, Travis knows he has to clean up his act including his reputation as a man-wh*re, and a hit it and quit it serial dater. Enter Georgette ‘Georgie’ Castle, the woman who has offered to go along with a ‘fake relationship’ deal, in an effort to help Travis become the next big thing in baseball commentating. What ensues is the fake but building relationship between Georgia and Travis, and the potential fall-out as sins of the past destroy the fragile truce between Travis and the people back home.
Travis Ford’s reputation as a womanizer precedes his return to his hometown of Fort Jefferson but the one-time baseball phenom is no longer riding the glory train but the train to embarrassment festered by his previous reputation. In an effort to clean up his image Travis agrees to a ‘fake relationship’ with his best friend’s sister, a relationship that is about to turn into something more. Georgie Castle has never been taken seriously by anyone in her family and her career choice as a birthday clown seems to solidify her family’s observations of their youngest child. Never taken seriously Georgie ventures off on her own only to realize that her relationship with Travis may have been a bigger ruse than she could have ever imagined.
The relationship between Travis and Georgie is a best friend’s little sister / fake relationship that finds our couple considering that what ifs and whys of something more but Travis’ past refuses to die including the reputation that is constantly dragging him down. The $ex scenes are erotic, passionate and intense. Travis likes to talk dirty to the woman with whom he will fall in love.
We are introduced to Georgie’s family: brother Stephen and his wife Kristin; their sister Bethany, and their parents Morty and Vivian Castle; friends Rosie and her husband Dominic; and several small minded townies with long memories.
FIX HER UP is a story of family, friendship, reputation and love. The premise is wondrous and spicy; the characters are sassy, eclectic and energetic; the romance is steamy and hot. FIX HER UP is a flirty, fun and playful story you will not soon forget.
4 Grand Slam stars!!I love Tessa Bailey’s style! This story is equal parts adorable, sexy, sweet, witty and steamy. It was a pleasure to read! I love the fake relationship trope and this is honestly such a good one! I just adore Georgie! She is funny, sweet and so innocent when it comes to relationships, but she has had it bad for Travis since she was a young girl. She is self supporting and driven and has a fun and quirky career that she is trying to turn into an entire business. She has not been very well supported by her family though. Travis is a former baseball star/player and may not my favorite person at first, but he goes a long way to redeem himself and make me love him, thanks to Georgie! He, unlike her family, really sees her, even if it took a little bit. How could he not fall in love with her?
Georgie and Travis are such a great couple and are simply magical together!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

“You have to fight for what you deserve. What you want is no more or less important than what anyone else wants.”
Ex-baseball legend Travis Ford moves back to his hometown after an injury that halts his career and realizes that his best friend’s sister Georgie is rather… grown up now. When he’s presented with another new career opportunity, Travis and Georgie come up with a plan to bolster his image and fix up his image–a fake relationship. Because that always works well.
This book was SO good. First of all, absolutely hilarious and I laughed so hard at multiple points throughout the whole story because Tessa Bailey is just phenomenal. Second of all, the characters are beyond lovable.
Georgie is so relatable–she’s the youngest child and her opinions, her life, and honestly just her whole person is often overlooked by her family because of her youth. Despite that, she handles it like a champ and she honestly does love her family so much. She’s sweet and kind and caring and so very cute and all she wants is what’s best for everyone.
Travis is such a swoon-worthy man. He’s hot as fuck and good lord, the dirtiest talker ever. He is sweet and caring and stands up for Georgie even against her family which made me want to scream with happiness. Get you a man who plans everything the way you want it because it’s your first time.
The friendships in this book are also so so cute–Rosie (love of my life), Bethany, and Georgie are just too cute to be real and their Just Us Club is to die for. Where do I sign up?
The romance was so so good and the plot was really well-developed as well. The ending as well–SWOON. So good all throughout and definitely made me pick up Love Her or Lose Her so quickly (that book was even better than this one like oh my God Rosie and Dominic deserve the entire world and more and yes, I will die on this goddamn hill).

I attempted to go in blind but got so confused at the beginning so I had to read the synopsis. And I was so excited when I saw that it had the tropes: Fake Dating & Brother’s Bestfriend…… But it fell a little flat to me
With the brothers best friend trope I felt like I would’ve liked a little more of a reaction out of Stephen, Georgie’s brother, than what he showed. Also the whole point of fake dating is to do it in front of people to trick them but I felt like we saw more of them fake dating together at each others place than in public. Lastly, talk about a discrete cover. The sex caught me so off guard. I am definitely not new to spice but this wasn’t it I found it a little cringe I think because I just did not expect it and the “dirty” talk was ehh. And add that with Travis saying “Babygirl” every 2 seconds (I HATE THT WORD W/A PASSION). It was NOT giving
What saved it for me were the cute moments that Georgie and Travis had. They really are a cute couple & Georgie was honestly so funny, not just because she’s literally a clown.
The romance between this good girl and bad boy is frustrating, steamy and leaves the reader breathless at times. Georgie has been in love with her brother’s best friend Travis forever, and Travis has been living the life of a playboy baseball star keeping his feeling out of it.
When Travis’ injury ends his baseball career, he is faced with living with his past and deciding g his future. Georgie is right there, not pulling any punches, but caring what happens to him even if he doesn’t want her to.
I really enjoyed the story especially when the women decided to get together to empower each other to help themselves. Georgie transformed into a stronger person, but every bit as caring. It’s a great story and romance.
So here I am after it happened one summer! This book was my favorite in the series. The word spicy is an understatement. The love story of Travis and Georgie was so realistic. Have you ever had a crush on on of your older brother’s friend that didn’t see you? This book was that but with a happy ending. Lol What started out as a fake relationship ended with an engagement. A must read. I couldn’t put this book down!
Georgette Castle is the youngest of three siblings and even though she’s an adult now, she’s still treated like a kid by everyone, even though she runs her own successful business now. It doesn’t help that she works as a kids’ birthday clown, but she’s determined to make everyone take her seriously. She needs to get rid of her cutesy little sister image and her childhood crush and former professional baseball player Travis Ford is the perfect man to help.
Travis was the most popular rookie in professional baseball until an injury ended his career. Now he’s working with Georgie’s brother flipping houses, trying to stay occupied and not feel like a failure. He can’t go anywhere in town without people hounding him, men who want bedroom tips and women who want to experience his purported skills firsthand. He also has to stop himself noticing that his best friend’s sister, Georgie is all grown up now and he has no business noticing her. But when she proposes they pretend to date so she can force people to notice her for who she is now and not the kid she was, and so Travis can present a family friendly persona that will help him secure a new job as a broadcaster. It seems crazy, but Travis can’t see a reason to disagree, as long as things stay platonic. But as he spends more time with Georgie, he gets to know the real woman beneath the goofy clown makeup, and she rapidly becomes all too necessary for him.
This is the cutest story I’ve read in some time. I wasn’t sure I’d like it because of Travis’ playboy image and Georgie’s wholesome innocence, especially since she’d been pining over him for years, but all of those things are what made this work. Sure, Georgie has always loved Travis, but she never compromised who she was or what she wanted, and she also found her feelings for Travis growing and deepening as she came to know the real man. Travis was heart-wrenchingly brooding beneath his confident persona, and I loved that Georgie was the one defending him and standing up for him when people got too pushy and he didn’t know how to handle them. The fact that he loved her strength and that she helped him believe in his own worthiness made this a beautiful read for me. Travis had never really known what it was to be loved and didn’t feel he deserved to receive it either, having always been a quick fling for everyone in his life and a nuisance to his parents. This one also gets bonus points for featuring an excellent, dramatic declaration of feelings. I loved how mature Travis and Georgie wound up being and their communication about their feelings for each other was good, the fake relationship aspect not too drawn out, and the hurtful miscommunication kept brief. I do wish we’d gotten more time with them after they’ve officially declared their very real love for each other, but having read the rest of the series, I know this is because we see more of them in Rosie’s and Bethany’s stories as well. I know some reviewers haven’t cared much for this story, but it definitely worked for me. It was both sweet and steamy and left me with the contented warm fuzzies that are becoming harder and harder to find these days, so Travis and Georgie are now one of my favorite couples.

Great characters 5 stars – The characters have flaws but that’s what makes them realistic. Georgie and Travis interact comfortably with each other. Their relationship is well-developed. The plot is simple but the details that the author added makes it engaging. I borrowed from the local library and voluntarily chose to review it.
