Fight For Me gives us Nico in his rawest form. We see the soldier, the friend, the son, the brother and finally the man. His struggle between duty and love tore at my heart. My chest literally ached, the tears flowed and my heart was in pieces as I stood with him as he battled his heart and mind. At times Nico and Brooklyn’s story made it hard to breathe. I felt my heart and soul shatter as the darkness took hold of both of them, I cried a river but held on to the tiniest bit of hope that Brooklyn would fight for Nico. I wanted them to chase the rainbows and not get lost to the storm. Just as I felt the tears recede and the light start to filter through, the authors words and the characters thoughts would have the tears falling all over again. Fight For Me was a true journey of epic proportions and one at times that was hard on my heart and soul, but the ending made every minute of pain worthwhile. However, as the clouds clear and the sun shines you will feel the warmth and happiness from not only the love they have for each other, but for life. Their story is emotional, witty, tragic, steamy, poignant and powerful. When an author can pull the emotions from me with her words like this book did, it is nothing less than phenomenal.
5*
Nico is part of the crew he’s in the army. Expecting his dispatch papers soon he’s not prepared for the call from his mum.
Brooklyn is new at the camp salon and isn’t expecting to meet Nico. The chemistry between them is smoldering hot.
He’s never taken the risk to want more but is so drawn to his Queen Bee.
This story totally blew me away the emotions, were so real that you truly felt part of the story.
