In this fourth installment of the Jesse McDermitt series, Jesse faces an antagonist unlike any other. A friend’s son, who was dishonorably discharged from the Corps, is suffering from post-traumatic stress. With Jesse’s help he learns to cope with his demons and gets his discharge overturned, so that he can once again serve the country he loves.
Meanwhile, another foe is out to get Jesse, … Jesse, Deuce, and anyone else that gets in the way, including a highly placed government official. When it’s learned the foe is one of their own, all hell breaks loose around the Florida Keys.

Okay. Hard to follow at times
I’ve read several of these series and enjoy the books.
Love this author, started with book 1 and have been reading them in order. Even read the 3 Charity books.
This series does not disappoint. The action is non stop and the imagery of the Keys is second only to the Mac Travis series.
Enjoyed this as all of his books
This series is becoming formulaic.
Warning…read one book in the series and you’ll be hooked. Great characters and locations. Strong moral compass. John McDonald has been exceeded.
Fantastic book
I am crazy about the entire series and read each and every one when they come out. A tad far fetched and the character knows but you just can not stop reading these.
Love this series.
Wayne Stinnet is a good writer
As good as the rest. Fallen is a terrific series
I like Caribbean stories, this was eventful.
I read everything I can get my hands on by this author! He knows how to tell a great story! One of my favorite authors!
If I still bought books I would own every one of Stinnett’s Jesse McDermitt series. Since I’m 75 and have more books on the shelf than my house can hold and when I’m gone no one will have a chance to “inherent” my ebooks, I limit myself to free promotions and library ebooks.
Anyway, Jesse is/was a very pleasant surprise in today’s world of weird …
I place Wayne’s story telling on a level with Twain. He understands honor and does as good a job of portraying the bonds between warriors as any I have read which shouldn’t come as a surprise since he is a Marine. Since the first book I eagerly await the next in the series so that I can rejoin Jesse and his family of friends.
I really like Stinnett’s books and have read all but his latest. Having spent a good bit of time in the Keys, it is easy to relate to the area and the action. Good read, a page turner.
Great writing and great character development. Can’t wait to read the rest of these. Wish they would put this on screen! Would be a FABULOUS movie, even series.
The entire Caribbean Series is a “must read”! Really enjoyed these books, can’t wait for the next one.
I really enjoy the Jessie McDermitt series as I have spent a fair bit of time in the Keys and recognize a lot of the places mentioned in the books. Lots of action in them too. Being, in an earlier life, a professional diver, an avid fisherman and a licensed guide boat captain I also enjoy living through his adventures and find them to be …
