5 star review of Exhale & Move On by K.L. Shandwick
Audio Review:
K.L. Shandwick is a new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why that is. The narrator Bolton Hill was also new to me so I was excited to listen to this book. Wow, where do I start. The story grabbed my attention from the first chapter and would not let me go. I became so invested in Rick, Lennon and Coral’s story that I listened well into the night.
The narration was extremely good and really brought the story to life as I listened. The only thing that would have made this even better was if it had been done in duet narration, but that is just my personal preference.
This was not just a Rock star story but a story with heart and soul and it really got to me on a number of levels. It was also a very steamy listen and there are numerous scenes of MMF, MFM and Bi so be prepared for temperatures to rise.
Loved this one from start to finish and cannot wait to dive in to more from both the author and the narrator. This has made me even more excited to meet K.L. Shandwick in London later this year. Now I am off to seek out other books from Ms. Shandwick.

I thoroughly enjoyed Rick’s journey in figuring out what love looked like for him. It’s true, you have to sometimes first kiss a frog or two. He made Coral see her selfishness, and I’m glad she came around. This is an amazing story.
Exhale and Move On AUDIO by KL Shandwick is a romantic story between two amazing characters. It is a M/M romance story.
When you’ve lived the wild rock and roll lifestyle that Rick Fars has, it’s no surprise that you’ve been there, done that, and in Rick’s case, most certainly left your T-shirt on the floor of some woman’s bedroom. Rick has never been taken by a woman as a wealthy playboy bachelor, but he has been taken many times. Rick appears to be living the dream on the outside, but looks can be deceiving, and Rick’s life is considerably more complicated than most people think. Will Rick’s future help him understand his own psyche when the past and present collide?
I loved every page of it. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
This review is for the audiobook version.
I could see Rick fitting in with the rockstars of the sixties and seventies. At times I felt like he delighted in letting us know about his exploitations. One thing that made it easy to picture what he was up to was having Mr. Hill as our narrator. It was very easy to picture him as a rocker enjoying what comes being in the industry.
Our author had me wondering if she has a wild imagination when it came to Rick’s profession or if she did a lot of research. It was interesting to see that she’s written a few book and this was the first time I had heard of her. One thing I liked about Rick’s character was that he is one that will use his fame to help others. Something I missed was getting a chance to hear some of his music. That’s something we miss when listening to a book as opposed to reading it. Sometimes an author creates a playlist that can be found either at the beginning or ending of a book. This may be one of those cases where I need to have a printed copy of the book.
On the negative about the book I felt it was more about his exploits than anything else. At least that’s how the beginning was. I felt it got better as the book went on which was good because I had a few eye rolls. Having Mr. Hill reading to us may make you feel like a voyeur. Although, Rick may have enjoyed that. It’s not a straight M/F read so you have to keep your mind open to any possibilities. The language is blunt and it’s more in your face when listening to the book instead of you doing the reading. By the end I was looking forward to checking out more of our author’s work but sadly this is the only audiobook – so far. It also left me looking forward to checking out more of Mr. Hill’s work. And if I want something to heat my blood, I can see myself listening to this audiobook again.
I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
This is a no holds barred look into the life of the rock star Rick Fars. Some think, especially the media that Rick has it all fame, fortune, women lying at his feet. Rick however has an inter turmoil going on and this hotter than hades tale indulges your, inter voyeur. You as the listener get to hear with the help of Bolton Hill (amazing voice by the way) the narrator, how with a little persuasion from Lennie and Coral how Rick finds his true self and love.
This was my first experience with both the author and the narrator. I sure hope it’s not my last.

I absolutely loved this story. Exhale and Move On is a story about the complexities of love and relationships. Its a story about understanding yourself in order to know what you want and find what’s missing from your life. I love how this author was able to blend rock and roll with sexual exploration and acceptance. This book was Hott with MM, MFM, MMF scenes that will have you glued to the pages. The story was well written with a great cast of character. The main characters Rick Fars was a complex individual who you can’t help but love and as the story progress you will be rooting for him to find his happily ever after. There were some intense and conflicting feelings in this fast paced novel and I loved the HEA ending.
This novel was narrated by Bolton Hill. He was a new to me narrator and I was very impressed with him. I enjoyed listening to his voice as he really brought the story to life for me.
Exhale and Move On was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lover of Rockstar romances.
Oh My Good God!!!
I absolutely Ioved every single minute of Exhale and Move On. It’s very different from what you would expect from this author if you have read her previous work but she’s absolutely nailed it.
After first meeting Rick Fars in the Everything Series, where he came across as a womanizer with a playboy attitude I was very intrigued to see how his story would pan out and let me tell you there is so much more to him than meets the eye.
A highly recommend read it’s definitely not one to be missed!!!
**Audio Review**
On the fence with this one!!!! Exhale and Move On is your typically rock star identify crisis kind of story with lots of sex and music. Rick loves to be in the spotlight and the party scene but he secretly has a desire not just for the ladies but for one particular man also who ends up breaking his heart. While nursing his broken heart he has ends up having some sexual tension moments with a long time friend and when this friends girlfriend wants both men at the same time Rick agreed. Next thing you know they are in a relationship and all is HEA. I felt the story jump around a lot and not dig into the characters as much as I would like. I did really like Rick, Coral and Lenny though and the M/F/M scenes have some heat. Overall I would recommend it if you like the rock star storylines with added hotness.
Bolton Hill as a narrator did well with Ricks character but I didn’t really feel the emotion or the depth of the story. I wasn’t sold on the voice as a rocker ladies man type but the narration wouldn’t stop me from listening to another in the series by him.
Phwoar! This is how I would describe this book! This book is hot and steamy! This was really refreshing for me to read a bisexual romance (M/M/F).This is the story of Rick, a world famous rockstar who plays his music to millions of fans and has women throwing themselves at him day and night. But little does the world know he indulges in men too!
I especially liked the narration of this story. The narrator brought this story to life. The worlds flowed easily and he really brought the characters to ife.
My only criticism is that I found that there were quite a few characters introduced and I found it hard to keep up at times with who was who but other than this I really enjoyed this story.
Author K.L. Shandwick has mastered the art of taking you on a ride of exploration, through personal self introspective, sexual exploration, self awareness and love for others through past pain. I listened to this book in one day. The main characters were so vivid you felt their triumphs and pain to your core. I laughed at times and was also shocked at times ( in a good way) . When the past meets the present sparks fly. An amazing day spent in the imagination of this wonderful author. I will certainly read this author again.
PLOT TWIST!! Let me preface this by saying, I NEVER read the summary on the back of the book. For me, no matter how vague, it spoils it for me. So I may have been more shocked by Rick than I should have been, but Oh MY GOD. Wow! I loved this story. Rick’s internal struggle and the reasoning behind it was well explained. I found myself rooting for him time after time. It is an amazing story and I was totally addicted. A really great read! Highly recommend! 15 out of 10!!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Exhale and Move On. Having read a number of books by this author previously, my attention was instantly grabbed when I realised there would be appearances from some of the characters I already know and love. There are some I have yet to meet fully, and this story has left me itching to find out more about them – particularly Alfie and Lily.
This story packs some heat! In fact, it is as hot as Hades during some scenes. This is Rick Fars’ story, and it is very well written using his sole POV. He’s the ultimate rock god but his personal life is complex, and I love how the author wrote his journey. I can see why Rick is so well liked and thought of, because he always considered others – unless they were one of his hook ups of course! I loved that he played a major part in the event that enabled all his rock star friends to get together, and I am certain he loved how that successfully extended into his personal life too.
There are MF, MM and MMF scenes throughout the story which I felt were tastefully written and were necessary for me, the reader, to fully understand Rick’s journey. I didn’t find this to be an emotional story but I was invested in learning more about the man and his feelings and needs, and I wasn’t left disappointed. This is my first-time meeting Rick and I believe he appears in K.L. Shandwick’s Everything series. You’d be correct in thinking that I’ve bumped that series up my ‘to be read’ list. Not only do I want to see more of Rick, but as previously mentioned I need to know Alfie and Lily’s story too.
Exhale and Move On is a great read. I am certain you will enjoy it just as much as I have.
KL does again. Rick, Lennon, and coral relationship is not your average love story but you will fall for them fast. If you are looking to spice up your reading this story is for you.
*Audible Review*
Rick Fars is a wild rockstar, and a love them and leave them kind of guy. Lately though he feels as if something is missing, then Lennon and Coral come into his life. I loved the connection that Lennon, Coral, and Rick all shared, it was truly beautiful. A wonderful read and one I enjoyed immensely.
Bolton Hill’s narration was terrific, his performance and voice kept me fascinated. He brought the characters to life and made it a truly enjoyable experience to listen to.
This book is about Rick Fars, a stand-alone series you can read without reading the rest of the series, this one is M/M, M/M/F, M/F/M LGBT Bisexual Romance. With hot scenes, a complicated brilliant story behind a rock star and his voyeurism, the audiobook was narrated by Bolton Hill, and he did a terrific job, I truly enjoyed it.
I was so excited to read Exhale and Move On and it is just as amazing as I hoped it would be. This author’s words are captivating and she did a fantastic job of showing us that love is love in whatever form it takes.
The world sees Rick as a womaniser, a typical rock star out for a good time but there’s more to him than meets the eye. There’s something missing from his life, and he’s looking for that special someone to share his passions with. He’s done with the superficial and messy but doesn’t realise how complicated his life is going to become.
I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about Rick in the beginning but he soon got his hooks into me and I was eager to discover where his journey would end. The author did a fantastic job of bringing his character to life. He may be arrogant at times but he doesn’t always get his own way and his compromises make him real and likeable. Incredibly well written, there’s lots of passion to steam up your kindle, (and maybe spark some fantasies!), which is hugely hot and sexy but there’s tenderness and care too. I loved the way the whole story unfolded and developed, and I couldn’t put it down. My absolute favourite book from Ms Shandwick so far, it goes a long way to showing why love is so intoxicating, namely that you feel a better person for it. I have no hesitation in recommending this book as a must read.

5stars
I had a feeling reading all through Lily and Alfie’s books that there was a bit more to Rick than we knew so far.. This book is wow!, hot and sexy, so steamy you can feel the heat coming off the pages. But there is so much more, two guys both torn by how they feel about their sexuality. All the emotions dealing with that but also keeping it hidden because of their “Rock Star” status and the womanising ways that go with it. I loved Coral and how she decides to experiment even if it doesnt turn out quite how she expects. Awesome story and I just want more, I absolutely loved it.
I was not prepared for the emotional roller coaster KL Shandwick put me through with this book. I’ll be the first to say that M/M and M/F/M books are not my usual reads, but this book may have changed that. Having read another book by this author, I knew she could bring the heat and the emotions to her characters. Rick Fars is no different, despite his “exhale and move on” mantra. Ms. Shandwick put her main character through some pretty intense personal situations, some the reader sees, but the biggest hurdle comes from his past and blindsides him toward the end. Ironically, that is the jumpstart he needed to really move forward to his future.
Rick seems to have it all: rock star, women, good friends, and a great career. However, he feels something is missing in his life. He’s quite the ladies’ man but there is a piece missing in his soul. Bringing all of his rock star friends together for a huge charity event, he’s forced to confront his secrets, his past, and his future.
Ms. Shandwick treats his journey with finesse and passion. The emotions leap from her words and the all of the sex scenes are HOT. I was rooting the entire book for Rick to get his HEA or at least a HFN. I listened to this book and the narrator, though new to me was stellar, and I will tell you this audio is NSFW. His mellow voice gave Rick the sexiness one would expect from a rock star. I have not yet read any of Ms. Shandwick’s other rocker books, but they are certainly at the top of my TBR. Her characters and stories are captivating. I highly recommend this book
Exhale and Move On was a good rockstar read. It was sexy, it was steamy and it had some really good MFM scenes. Rick is just an amazingly complex man. I was instantly drawn to him, along with Lennon and Coral.
While I truly did love it, it was a slow start, I really didnt get deeply drawn till about 40%. And oh man once I got there, what I read was amazing. I’m so glad I stuck with it, cause it seriously did shift my entire view of the book.
This was my first K.L. Shandwick’s book. This is the story of Rick, a Rockstar in his late thirty, in search of happiness. The storyline has multiple sex scenes, intense and explicitly described (MF, MFM, MMF). The story has a HEA. Bolton Hill has a great voice, and the characters were easy to distinguish. He did an amazing job with the narration. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.
