I loved this book! I cried for Rene, and laughed at her friends antics. And to see these wonderful characters have their faith as their core, was inspiring! If you like clean inspirational stories, I highly recommend “Ever Caring.” I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
A good plot with interesting aspects about adoption. The characters were real and likeable. A story that shows foregiveness and hope. A nice easy read.
If you like clean reads this book,”Ever Caring,” and “Ever After,” are perfect for you. Clean Romantic and very enjoyable! Strong characters, with strong faith, work and struggle through tough life situations. A page turner!
The challenges the characters deal are realistic and they work hard to overcome them.
Well written.
Thoroughly enjoyable light read. Plot sounds cheesy – unwed girl gives up baby only to gave child and widowed father show up in her store – but it is handled so well that it’s a good story. Renee runs a scrapbook store with her disabled mother and Tate and his daughter, Addison, come in to make a scrapbook for Addison’s recently deceased mother. I also do paper crafts so I enjoyed that aspect of the book. Reading how they all get together was a delight. Perfect, easy, uplifting read!
Beautiful Story
Renee have up her little girl almost 9 years ago because she knew she couldn’t take care of her and her mom. Present day, she is selling her business to pay for a special therapy for her mom, and meets her attorney’s son. Tate moved back to get his daughter situated after his wife’s death. He ends up meeting Renee in his father’s office. But what really brings him together is when his daughter wants to a scrapbook in her shop. She figured out Addison is the little girl she gave up.
A vey good book.
Loved this book.
Great story! A young woman gives up her baby to help care for her mother after a bad accident. Her sacrifice and love get her through. Thank you for your God given talent.
A book of love, loss, grief, guilt, and sacrifice. My attention was held and I wanted to know what came next in this story. A great story!
The plot was one I’ve read before, but I enjoyed the characters and their background stories very much. That’s what made this book different.
This is a delightful mixture of intrigue, adventure, romance, and inspiration cleverly woven together to form an enchanting, easy-to-read, hard-to-put-down story!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Thank you for writing it and providing a fun escape for a few hours!
I loved everything about this book, with the emotional side of the tragic accident and the loss of her daughter due to guilt, as well as the wisdom of her mother. Loved the funny side of her friends and of course the happy ending.
widowed adoptive father finds love and happiness daughter’s biological mother. A Christian book.
I love reading stories from this author. The characters come alive and you share in the emotions they are feeling. A very enjoyable read and I always enjoy visiting with recurring characters who seem like old friends by the time the series is finished. She always deals with present every day problems in a caring manner. Cant wait for more of this series!
The characters were well done—hard to do when one is a child!
The emotions were all over the place… such sadness and anger that you wanna cry and then such love and hope… that you wanna cry… OK, have tissues for this one.
There’s no preaching in this story, but the characters go to church and pray about decisions.
This was an enjoyable sweet romance. The book pulled me in from the beginning and I had to keep reading until the end. Tate is a hard worker and a devoted father. Tate’s wife has died and now he is the sole provider for his grieving daughter. Tate’s marriage had been less than ideal, so he has no time for romance. Renee is a loyal daughter that has given up everything for her handicapped mother. Renee is trying to make up for her past mistakes which included giving up her baby. Both Tate and Renee were thrown together and there was an attraction between them that both did not want to acknowledge. I enjoyed reading about their journey to forgiving their pasts and moving forward. I recommend to anyone that loves sweet clean romance.
I received a copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Wow, this was certainly a heavy topic! I’ve read a couple books by this author before, and they are Christian, but not preachy. I like that the religious aspect isn’t too much, it doesn’t overpower the actual story. I really enjoyed this almost simple story of selflessness and love. And seemingly proving that everything does in fact happen for a reason.
Ever Caring by Carolyne Aarsen
Family Promises Series Book One
Renee Albertson would soon be leaving town with her mother. Selling her beloved Scrap Happy store and their home. Hoping the treatment would help her mother to walk again. Remove the guilt Renee felt for her mother being hurt in the first place. Renee didn’t expect the new lawyer and his daughter that just moved to town.
Tate Truscott’s main focus was on his daughter. Addison. After his wife’s death a year ago, it was time to leave the big law firm and move to Rockyview and join his father in his practice. He didn’t expect this small town to bring his heart back to life…well, maybe not the town as much as a certain shop owner.
The past merges with the future as Tate and Renee’s lives are more connected than they realized. But no matter what they were feeling…her mother was her focus. Addison’s his. And it didn’t seem there’d be anything to bridge their paths. But with God, one never knows what path He’ll lead them down. Some of these characters were in previous Rockyview series, and some of those characters are also in this series. Which I love. Looking forward to the next books in this series.

What a great read! This story takes you on a journey. When Renee gives her newborn up for adoption it sets off a chain of events effecting several lives. This is a heart warming, grab tissues and feel good story and I loved every minute of it! Zach and his daughter tug at your heart. I love that he would sit in a Scrapbook Store trying to work on a memory book with his daughter. Both Zach’s father and Renee’s mother are great characters as well. Such a nice balance and chemistry. I received this ARC copy from Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts are my own. I truly loved this story and highly recommend this book. It’s a great start to a new series!
