A captivating new sexy standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. Special Forces veteran and Dark Knights Motorcycle Club member Bullet Whiskey lives to protect his family, their bar, and the residents of his small hometown. He’s rough, unapologetic, and haunted by a secret, painful past. He’s also a master at keeping people away, and when his sister hires gorgeous … sister hires gorgeous and sweet Finlay Wilson to help expand their biker bar, he knows just how to get rid of her.
After losing her boyfriend and her father, Finlay moves back to her hometown to be closer to the little family she has left. She needs her temporary job at Whiskey Bro’s to get her catering business off the ground, and she’s determined not to let the gruff, arrogant mountain of a man Bullet Whiskey scare her off.
Finlay is everything Bullet has never wanted. She’s afraid of his dog, afraid of motorcycles, and sweet enough to give him cavities, but as she weaves her way into the hearts of everyone around him, he’s powerless to resist her charms. Passion ignites, but trust doesn’t come easily, and when their pasts collide, Bullet finds out the true meaning of protecting those he loves.

Every time I read a new book by Ms. Foster I think ‘this can’t beat the last’, and they do every time. I can confidentally say that Bullett is my #1 book boyfriend of this year, I love him!
I love that Finlay is so confident. No matter the situtation she finds herself in, she doesn’t let anyone stop her, even a room full of big bad bikers.
Bullet takes the strong silent type to an extreme but it works so well for him. He is so loyal and protective of those he sees as family. I was so happy when he finally decided to put his wants first for once.
I was not ready for this book to end, but I love that we can see Finlay and Bullet in future books. I can’t wait for Wicked Whiskey Love!
The Whiskey Family is tough, tattooed, and run a biker club. I love everything about them. Along with all of that they are true to themselves, have strong family values, and work hard for what they want. Driving Whiskey Wild is Bullet’s story. He is fighting so many demons. PTSD from what he saw and experienced in war is the cause of many of his issues. Bullet just needs the right woman to help him beat those demons.
I like that both Bullet and Finlay have experienced life. They have had rough times and still managed to come out on the otherside. They are not privileged, they have had to work to earn their way in the world. They both have reasons for not feeling like they could be loved again. Together Bullet and Finlay just make sense. They can understand each other, support each other, and love each other because they are alike in so many ways.
If you are familiar with Melissa Foster and are looking for a sweet, loving, tender book Driving Whiskey Wild is not it. This is a hardcore, in your face, tough book. There are many sweet, loving, and tender moments but there is also a lot of swearing and hard conversations being had.
Even with the motorcycle bad boy and the good girl plot, proved to be a good read.
Great book. I wish I had waited to read it, the next one doesn’t come out till later this year. Hate to have to wait. Hope it’s as good as this one
Finlay moves back to Peaceful Harbor, to be closer to her sister. She had a catering business and she wants to start a new one in her hometown. But she hasn’t found a place yet, so she’s helping the Whiskey’s expand their bar. She lost her boyfriend years ago while he was in the military and hasn’t found anyone to give her heart to again. She’s feisty, brave, and independent.
Bullet is the big brother, protector, member of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, bartender, and former military. He meets Finlay at his brother’s wedding and wants her. But Bullet has baggage and is usually once and gone kind of guy. He knows Finlay is not that type of girl. He convinces her to go out with him and he can’t get enough of her.
Can Bullet fight his demons and keep the one woman who has ever brought light into his dark life? Some smoking hot sex scenes, laughter, sadness, and a guy any girl would be lucky to have. I didn’t want the story to end. I had been waiting for this story and it went beyond anything I could hate hopes for. If you don’t read anything else this month, read this.
I absolutely love the ‘Whiskey’ series. Every single book can be read as a stand alone, but dang, they all rock it. Driving was no exception. I loved this book. Finlay and Bullet’s story is about much more than romance. It’s about second chances, finding the perfect someone and accepting that. Of course there was the awesomely hot sex scenes, that’s a given. I highly recommend this book!
Can’t wait for Bones story!
I am so in love with Bullet Whiskey and am kicking myself for not starting The Whiskeys series sooner. This was so freaking fantastic. I loved every second!
*5 Stars*
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first book in the Whiskey series, but not my first by Melissa. I LOVED THIS! Bullet, oh my gosh, he is everything! That man!
I always enjoy Melissa’s books, and this was no different. I was hooked instantly, and I fell in love with all the characters in the book. Bullet is the man. Honestly, what a dude. The strength and character of Bullet is just fantastic.
I loved Finlay as well, and she and Bullet really complimented each other once they got past their initial annoyances with each other. I did see the reveal coming wayyyy before it happened, but it played out well and was resolved well too.
The story moves in such a way that it isn’t rushed, even though it is fast paced. The secondary characters all compliment the story as well. I’m in love with this family and I cannot wait to read the other books in the series, and I’m really keen for the next instalment too.
There’s a lot of laugh out loud moments in this, and there are also a fair amount of emotional moments where I found myself trying not to tear up.
I also love how this is about characters who are in an MC Club, but of the good kind. A really heartwarming kind of organisation. The whole support network of characters in this is awesome.
A very well rounded story and I highly recommend.
“You don’t have to be a biker girl. Just be my girl.”
Bullet Whiskey is the hero of the Whiskey family, but don’t tell him that.
Finlay is the sweet caterer who has decided moving back to her small hometown was the only way to be around family.
Bullet never expected sweet Finlay to give in to his requests for a date, but she did. You would, too. He’s all alpha hotness wrapped up in a sexy, tattooed package. And don’t forget the beard, the broodiness, and the kindness. Plus, he’s a biker. So, yeah. He’s a complete package if there ever was one.
Finlay resisted Bullet Whiskey for far longer than any other woman. She knew that, but she also knew he wasn’t her type of man. Everything that Bullet exuded was the complete opposite of what she thought she was looking for.
Until it shifted. Until Bullet convinced Finlay he was more than his outer appearance.
And holy, mother of awesome. This story is perfect. Bullet and Finlay are the exact opposites, which complement each other better than ever. Where Bullet closes people off, Finlay opens up. Where Bullet doesn’t enjoy the company of others, Finlay is a social butterfly.
This is the third book in The Whiskeys series, but I have not read the previous two books. I never felt lost or confused or like I was missing something. However, I will be going back and starting with the first Whiskey book. These Whiskeys are just too fun to not read. And I’m definitely looking forward to Bones’ book!
`Love, Loyalty and Respect for All’
I fell in love with Bullet Whiskey. Bad boy looks, beard, covered in tattoos over a delicious body filled with amazing muscles and manpower. He is fearless, gruff and mouthy but oh how I can imagine those lips and that wild man! No wonder why sweet beautiful Finlay is all hot and bothered over him. Beneath his tattoos and bad boy biker image there is a kind and caring beautiful person.
The story is amazing and you can feel all the conflicted emotions they are both going thru and I loved that I learned more about PTSD after reading this beauty.
Finlay moved back to her hometown to be closer to her sister and set her roots. She is unable to fall in love again and she figures that sister love his better than anything else. She dreams about opening her own catering business and she`s ready.
Bullet Whiskey was discharged from the army after being hurt. He won`t talk about it and won`t let people close. His whole life revolves around protecting his family, his club and his hometown. His bar is home and he won`t let anyone change it.
Two uncommon personalities collide in this sexy, hot, mouth watery story. I love all of Melissa Foster`s books but so far this one stole my heart. I was feeling every single emotions and I was right there with them, laughing, crying and aching. The side characters are fun and full of life and they lightened up the book.
Bring on some more Whiskey Men on me; I’m ready !!!
