Two single parents and three adorable kids are about to have a summer they’ll never forget in this sexy, heartwarming new novel of the New York Times bestselling series. Following the sudden death of his wife, Nathan Bell spent nearly two years burying himself in work and neglecting his biggest responsibility: his daughter. Overcome with guilt, he wants to connect with little Marley, but he … Marley, but he doesn’t know how to do it alone. And then Jenna Savage throws him a lifeline.
A single mom of twins, Jenna is more than capable of taking care of Nathan’s adorable two-year-old and wants to help Nathan however she can. As the days go by and her attraction to Nathan grows, she can’t help wondering what might happen if they became a family for real. And the closer everyone becomes, the more right it feels.
Falling in love forces Nathan to face his biggest fear, and when hearts — both big and little — are on the line, the only thing scarier than needing Jenna and her kids so much is losing them all.

“Hi” I’m sorry. I missed you. I love you. I need you.”
I have no words to tell you how much I love the Dirty Deeds series, my feelings are bittersweet now that it’s over. I can’t decide whether I need to cry or sigh in satisfaction. There’s this heart-shaped lump in my throat as I recall the beautiful journey I’ve taken with this amazing cast of characters.
Nate is not a new character, he has been around all along, but Down Too Deep is his story. Finally, my chance to meet the man behind the desk, to see what he’s been hiding behind that shirt and tie. He’s the owner of Whitecaps, where Syd, Shay, Stitch and Tori work. He’s always been so understanding and supportive as they dealt with their problems, but he never shared his own.
Jenna deserves so much credit for having such a bubbly personality and a positive attitude as she deals with being a single mother of twins. I take my hat off to her for the wonderful job she is doing, especially when she offers to help Nate with his 2 yr old daughter, Marley. Of course, my first thought was to do some mental matchmaking with the two adults. But, then I met the kids…and melted into a big puddle of goo.
Nate is broken. There’s no other way to explain what happened to him after the death of his wife. He just shut down and was unable to deal with his motherless baby. He threw himself into work and blocked everyone and everything else out. It might have continued indefinitely if he hadn’t been forced to deal with the daughter he had been ignoring. Not because he didn’t love her or want her, he just couldn’t cope with his loss and zoned out of his own life.
I put myself into his shoes and could understand how terrifying it would be to risk his heart again. But, I so wanted him to do it. The pain of loss can be felt when someone you love dies, but it can hurt just as much when you deprive yourself of the love of someone who’s alive. Pain is pain, right? I tried to explain this to Nate, but as usual, the characters ignore me and I end up biting my nails to nubs worrying about them. I hoped that he’d give love another chance and not end up breaking Jenna and their kid’s hearts along with his own. This heartbreaking story gave me all the feels. I’m exhausted…sigh.
Down Too Deep, the fourth and final installment to J. Daniels’ Dirty Deeds series was emotionally charged from page one! I’ve been a devoted fan of Jessica’s for many years now and she still astonishs me with her craft. She’s my forever author
Nathan Bell was first introduced in book one. Even then he kept to himself and was reserved. Bearing the guilt of his wife’s death, Nathan is now left to take care of his 2 year-old daughter. He is struggling with raising Marley alone and taking back control of his life. When he meets Jenna Savage, a single mother of twins, she becomes his saving grace for she’s willing to help him with Marley.
Jenna (Brian’s sister) is a great mother and a strong woman. There’s nothing she loves more than her kids and when she’s offered to look after Nathan’s sweet little girl, she’s all too excited. Summer days spent at Nathan’s home and the beach with the kids not only becomes their new norm but it blossoms into something neither Jenna nor Nathan could have ever expected.
Soon the attraction between them becomes undeniable. Friendship turns into love. Unbeknownst to these two single parents, a beautiful family is created.
Down Too Deep was a moving story with beloved characters. There was humor, tender moments, as well as sexy moments shared between Nate and Jenna.
Unforgettable and heartwarming… Down Too Deep is a must read!
It’s definitely well overdue since my last J. Daniels reads and from this series! Down Too Deep was a great point to jump back into this series again. I still need to read Bad For You in the Dirty Deeds series, but they’re all standalone reads, so I was OK.
Man, what an emotional read this one turned out to be. Even after reading the synopsis, it didn’t prepare me for anything that was to come. In this one, we have two single parents, I don’t normally gravitate towards this trope, but I’ve read a few great ones this year.
My heart quickly broke for Nate, it was tough to see how much he was grieving over the death of his wife. And trying to balance being a father to the sweetest baby, Marley. Everything was becoming too much for him, but Jenna swooped in at the exact right moment.
I loved how selfless Jenna was, when it came to Nate and Marley. There’s definitely something instant between, a connection that only so many people can have.
J. Daniels truly did a phenomenal job writing their kids into the story, they were such a pivotal part and really made this read wholesome. I loved the budding friendship that began to form between Nate and Jenna. And eventually turning into something so much more.
Have your tissues ready, everyone! You’ll definitely need it with this amazing read!
J. Daniels
It has been more than four years ago that I last read a book by J. Daniels, however I couldn’t resist when I read the synopsis of Down Too Deep. I love single parent romances, and the fact that both characters are a single parent is just icing on the cake. Down Too Deep was a great contemporary romance with fun and interesting characters. I loved the way they met and how their relationship grew over time. The kids were my favorite in the book. Jenna’s twins Oliver and Olivia were such great and curious kids, and Nate’s daughter Marley was just the cutest. I loved that the relationship between the kids were highlighted in the book, I also enjoyed the interaction between Nate and the twins.
Overall Down Too Deep was a very fun and a little bit emotional read. I enjoyed J. Daniels writing and there was no dull moment. The sex scenes were extra hot in this book, and I loved reading them. The chemistry between Nate and Jenna was great, and I loved when the moment came when they just couldn’t resist each other any longer. They were both mature and did a pretty good job at communicating their feelings. They both have their insecurities and a bit of a broken heart but thankfully that didn’t take over the whole book. I enjoyed this book a lot and will definitely try to read more by this author.
I’ve been waiting for Nate’s book for years!
It exceeded my expectations in every way.
Nathan is trapped in an endless cycle of depression and avoidance since he lost his wife.
Forced to come to terms and be a father, he meets Jenna.
Jenna is a single mother, reading her twins. She agrees to watch Marley(age 2), Nathan’s daughter for the short term.
Their story is emotional, heart felt and so romantic.
I got lost in their journey to become what they desire most…
Technically, Down Too Deep can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend you read all the previous books in the series.

Seriously, there is nothing sweeter than reading about amazing children in books. I’m such a sucker for them. And these kids… top notch!
The blurb for DOWN TOO DEEP summarized events quite succinctly, so I’m gonna delve into how this story made me feel. Soooo good!! Between Nathan finding his love for life again, learning about his daughter, falling more in love with her than ever, how could I not feel absolutely incredible while reading this book? Add in Jenna and her huge heart, precocious children, unparalleled generosity and kindness, and it was almost too easy to give this story all the stars.
To me, romance stories should be about beautiful characters and their impossibly beautiful journey to love. With this story, J. Daniels delivers and I can’t recommend it enough!!
NO SPOILERS!
Down Too Deep was EVERYTHING! Gah, I LOVED this book with all of my heart and soul! J. Daniels truly blew me away with Nathan and Jenna’s sweet, sexy, funny, heartfelt, swoon-worthy, and unforgettable love story.
The storyline and characters were beyond phenomenal, and I loved J. Daniels’ writing style. She has an amazing storytelling gift, and I hope she never stops writing, because I’ll never stop reading her books. Down Too Deep and the entire Dirty Deeds series have all been MUST READ love stories, and I’ll never ever forget them. Nathan and Jenna and their kids completely stole my heart, and I loved every moment of going on this journey with them. I loved everything about Down Too Deep and thought J. Daniels did a fantastic job with every aspect. I absolutely loved the ending and was beyond ecstatic with the conclusion.
Nathan and Jenna’s story in Down Too Deep was steamy, funny, heartfelt, swoon-worthy, and emotional, and I couldn’t have loved it more. J. Daniels definitely wrote another MUST READ standalone contemporary romance in the Dirty Deeds series, and I’m so excited to devour more of her delicious love stories!
OH MY HEART!!! I thought I knew what I was getting myself into when I picked up Down Too Deep….. I THOUGHT WRONG! Holy Hell, I can say with a full and honest heart, Down Too Deep is my favorite read of 2019!!!
About Down Too Deep:
Down Too Deep is the fourth book in the Dirty Deeds series written by J. Daniels. If you haven’t yet had the time to read the first three books in the Dirty Deeds series, have no fear, Down Too Deep can be read as a standalone.
Two fractured hearts and broken souls come together and slowly merge as one. He helps her mend her fears while she helps him mend his heart. And in the midst of it all they’re are three very adorable kids.
Nathan hasn’t had the easiest life these past few years. He lives his life day to day just going through the motions. That would normally work for any human being after tragedy strikes, but Nate isn’t a normal person…Nate is a father. When Nate’s dad finally puts his foot down and orders his son to take care of his daughter, Nate isn’t sure what to do. He knows he loves his daughter, but the pain and guilt of losing his wife intensifies everytime he looks at his baby girl.
Jenna’s life revolves around her twins, Oliver and Olivia, and there’s nothing she wouldn’t give or do for them. After having her own crash in burn relationship moments, that’s just the way she likes it. Her two children and her.
When Jenna meets Nate’s adorable baby girl, Marley, it’s head over heels in love at first sight. It’s the summertime so she offers to help workaholic Nate out for a few months and on the sly she starts to help rebuild the relationship between father and daughter. A relationship that Nate wants with all his heart, but is too scared to map out.
My Thoughts:
This is another novel that shows fate at its finest. Before I first started this novel I knew nobody and no couple could hold a flame next to Sean and Shayla (Bad For You)….but…boy was I wrong! I wouldn’t say I loved them more, however I do love their stories both as equals just in different ways.
Nate and Jenna’s story starts off on an extremely sad note. My heart legit felt like it was falling into my stomach while reading the conversation between Nate and his dad. I felt the fear Nate was feeling rolling off the pages. I felt the pain and agony of a father having to finally step in and put an end to his sons guilt and heartache just enough so he can step in and be the man his daughter needs. There was so much heartfelt pain in this one particular scene. It had me stopping and taking a deep breath, because I knew this wasn’t going to be the only heartache portrayed in this novel. I knew right off the bat that Down Too Deep wasn’t going to be an easy read……But then it happened.. Once I got into Nate and Jenna’s story I literally couldn’t wipe the smile from my face.
Nate and Jenna’s story goes through all the steps a relationship tends to gravitate towards, but in their own way. I respect this aspect of the novel. I loved how their relationship gradually grew from acquaintances, to friends, and then into something more. I loved the fear of the unknown and the guilt of not being sure if he’s moving on too fast or at the perfect pace. This story couldn’t have been told any better than the way J. Daniels told it. The slow build gave it the cute and swoony vibes I was hoping for and in the end, it made all the emotions much more intense and real. And it made all the little steps that much more important.
I do have to say, the little rascals stole the show for me. Olivia, Oliver, and Marley were so stinkin’ cute. I loved reading all their interactions with one another. Each child had their own moment to shine and there moment to give off unending tears. There were some moments I had to sit my kindle aside and just reflect on my own life and how grateful I am to have had both parents there while I was growing up.
Overall, Down Too Deep was a phenomenal romance novel. The family vibes is what initially drew me in from the start. This novel took a piece of my heart and there isn’t any part of me that wants it back. As I sit and write this review, just know, I still have a smile etched on my face for each and everyone of these characters. Through all the turmoil and hardships they faced, they sure did get one hell of a truly deserved happily ever after.

5 “What do you need?” Stars
Down Too Deep is the fourth book in the Dirty Deeds series and one of my most anticipated reads. I’ve wanted and needed Nate’s book for so long. And let me tell you, the wait was so worth it.
If you know me you know that the single parent trope is one of my absolute favorites. And if a single dad is involved—well that’s just icing on the cake.
Nate stole my heart. And that same heart broke for him. Since losing his wife, Nate’s been in a dark place and working nonstop which has led for him to neglect his daughter, Marley. His parents want him to finally step up and start taking responsibilities. So they refuse to continue to watch their granddaughter in order for Nate to start being a dad. But Nate still needs help with Marley—and that’s when Jenna offers to watch her and Nate couldn’t be happier.
Jenna is a single mom of eight year old twins. Olivia and Oliver are her life and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She’s caring, considerate, compassionate and an all around amazing human being. And when she sees that Nathan could use some help with his daughter, she offers her help in an instant. She becomes Marley’s nanny and falls so fast for that little girl. And little by little she starts falling for Nathan as well.
Jenna and Nate were the ultimate. Their romance was perfect. Their chemistry was off the charts scorching. But what I loved the most was how Jenna helped Nate bond with Marley which ultimately made him become the dad he always wanted to be. She also helped Nate lift the fog he was living in and in the end made everything clear. Jenna and Nate made the perfect team. I loved the relationship that formed between Nate, Olivia and Oliver. It absolutely melted my heart at the amount of love between them. Olivia and Oliver finally had a father figure, and it was beautiful. Jenna, Nathan, Olivia, Oliver and Marley made such a great family and I couldn’t get enough of them.
Down Too Deep hit me with all the feels. It’s a story about forgiving yourself and giving your life a second chance and trusting in love. It’s about family and the lengths one would go to protect at any cost. It’s about friends who are always there when you need them and no matter what will lend a helping hand. I loved the epilogue so freaking much, it was simply the best. I absolutely loved this book! I loved the adorable kids, the swoony scenes, the heartwarming moments and catching up with Brian, Sydney, Tori, Jaimie, Shay and a few others. I really hope there’s more to come to this series because I honestly don’t want to say goodbye to these people just yet. *fingers crossed*
5 Emotional Stars
J Daniels definitely saved the best for last. If you’re familiar with this series, you know Nathan is a widower and the way Daniels brings he and Jenna together is nothing short of an emotional read that will leave your mind reeling and your heart soaring. Gah! I can’t even with this book. All.the.feels! Read it.

4.5 stars!
I was so excited to get my hands on this book, and wow, what a gorgeous read! A fun, sweet, functional and emotional love story between two single parents, it’s a gorgeous romance with all the feels, and I loved it!
This is the fourth and final book in the Dirty Deeds series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. It’s the story of broody and mysterious bar owner, Nate, and Jenna, the sister of Brian from book #1 (5-star fave, Four Letter Word). I honestly didn’t remember too much about Nate, and I can’t even recall if Jenna had been previously introduced, so you can easily dive into this on its own (though the earlier books are just fantastic, so definitely add them to your TBR if you haven’t read them yet).
Nate is a widower, and since the death of his wife he has buried himself in his bar/restaurant to the exclusion of everything else – including his two year old daughter. His parents have been caring for little Marley, and they figure that the best way to pull Nate out of his grief is to drop him in the deep end, and that’s exactly what they do when they deliver Marley to him. Completely lost and out of his depth, Nate has no clue what he’s doing, so when gorgeous, young single mother, Jenna comes along and offers to help him out, he jumps at the chance.
Jenna is the mother to eight-year-old twins. She is fairly new to town, having moved to be closer to her brother, and she has her life pretty much figured out, but she’s still looking for love. Her children were the result of a one night stand and she’s never experienced true love or even a real relationship, but she’s got a huge heart, and when she sees Nate struggling with his adorable little girl she can’t help but offer to help him out.
And so Jenna becomes a part of Nate’s life, caring for Marley and at the same time introducing Nate to parenthood and helping him form a bond with his little girl. She throws herself fully into the role of caring for the two of them, and is there for them without any hesitation, and naturally and quite unconsciously the five of them become a huge part of each other’s worlds. It’s so, so beautiful to see, and of course it’s only a matter of time before the Nate and Jenna’s attraction to each other starts to sizzle.
The feelings are there from the very beginning, growing deeper the more time they spend together, and the build-up is absolutely delicious! They don’t hide it, they don’t lie about it, they are completely open, and I could feel how much they cared for and wanted each other. It’s not straightforward, but it’s honest and functional (which I LOVED) and it’s only a matter of time before all of that chemistry explodes into epic feels!
“Falling in love was overwhelmingly scary. It was also becoming the easiest thing I had ever done.”
It’s fun, it’s flirty, and it’s so damn sweet. I love these two together so much, and I could feel the depth of their feelings for each other. And on top of all of that, it’s sooooo freaking sexy!
“Holy shit,” I gasped when I felt his mouth there. I looked down my body. Nathan was already watching me. He winked. God…I felt my heart skip. “You kill me, you know that?”
He gave me a long, slow lick in answer.
OMG, those winks! *fans self*
There were so many points during the story where unnecessary drama or angst could have been added, but I’m SO grateful that the author never took it there. Nate and Jenna are upfront and honest with each other, and though there is some drama they have things to work through – not only the fact that Jenna works for Nate, but he understandably has unresolved feelings over his deceased wife and is terrified of getting close to somebody again – but it’s beautifully done, with a lot of heart, and I loved watching their journey to their HEA.
A huge shout out to all of the kids, who are so freaking adorable. They each have their own little personalities which are really well developed, and watching them form relationships with each other, and with Nate and Jenna, is just gorgeous and such a special part of the book.
Nate and Jenna are fantastic characters, and I really felt for them – I celebrated with them, I hurt with them, and I fell in love right alongside them. They are just so gorgeous together! Add the kids into the mix, and there were so many sweet and tender moments between the five of them, this book had me smiling hugely all the way through.
A wonderful finish for a fantastic series. I loved it! 4.5 stars.
I’ve been a fan of J. Daniels since the beginning. I have read every single word she’s written, and I’ve loved them all. Daniels is a natural storyteller, and she has her own, unique and addictive voice. She writes these all-consuming, grand romances that are unputdownable stories for her readers. For this romance reader, a new release from J. Daniels is a much-anticipated, planned-around experience.
I love the Dirty Deeds series, and I’ve been looking forward to Nate’s story since we met him in Four Letter Word, the first book in the series. Daniels hoarded precious details about Nate throughout this series, doling them out sparingly to readers over the course of the previous three books. As much as I was focused on the previous stories as I was reading them, stumbling upon a detail about Nate was a treat and definitely amped up my anticipation for his story.
A widower, deeply lost in his grief, Nate is not managing his role as a father very well. It’s not that he doesn’t want to be the father that his precious, two-year-old daughter, Marley, needs, he just isn’t sure how to go about doing it. After a much-needed, albeit brutal, wake-up call, in steps an angel in the form of Jenna, a single mom of twins, Oliver and Olivia. She reaches out a hand to help Nate, and he latches on gratefully to that lifeline. Instead of condemnation or judgment, Jenna offers him kindness, patience, grace. His relief is palpable, and he doesn’t squander this opportunity. He pays attention to Jenna, and Marley responds to his attention. My heart was full watching Nate come into his own as a father.
There’s just something about a damaged hero that really does it for me, and oh boy, did my heart ache for Nate. He was haunted by his wife’s death, his was ashamed about his lack of involvement in his young daughter’s life and the fact that he had no clue how to care for her. As the owner of a busy restaurant, it was easy for him to get lost in the day-to-day running of it, but even that was taking a toll on him, and he was just overwhelmed with the constant juggling of all of it. But when Jenna offered to help him, he had no idea that he would be getting so much more than a sitter, a helper—a friend—in the process. Jenna and her kids breathed life back into Nate, and he begins to shed the grief and the guilt, and for the first time in far too long, he feels hopeful—and happiness. He struggles with even that, though, and I was on the edge of my seat as he sifted through those emotions, trying to make sense of what he was thinking, what he was feeling, and what he wanted. The problem is that more than just Nate and Jenna’s hearts are at stake here, slowly but surely everyone was becoming very invested in what was starting to look a whole lot like a family every passing day.
At its core, Down Too Deep was a story about loss, forgiveness, moving forward and starting over. Daniels never shies away from difficult topics or emotions in her stories. She doesn’t hesitate to run her readers through the wringer right along with her characters. The emotion in this book, though, positively wrecked me. WRECKED ME. I wept—crying big, loud, hiccupping sobs—while reading this book. I felt Nate’s guilt like a second skin, I felt his desperation to know even the simplest, smallest, most basic things about his daughter. But I also felt love, my goodness, so much of it, so huge, and coming from all five of them. I felt Nate’s hope bloom, his optimism surge and his heart open to possibility. I felt Jenna and her kids love for this man and his little girl. Oh yes, I felt every single heart-wrenching, tugging and mending feel that Daniels wanted me to feel here.
Not exactly a light and breezy, easy-to-read romcom, Down Too Deep was a moving, heart-breaking story richly told with depth, genuine emotion and passion. There were highs and there were lows, and as difficult as that was at times, it was worth every single step of the journey these characters had to take to find this kind of love. My own emotions were all over the place while reading this book, a true testament to the power of Daniels’ amazing writing here. A truly memorable reading experience and one that will stay with me for a long time to come, Down Too Deep by J. Daniels is a top favorite for the year, and it gets five smooches from me!
~Danielle Palumbo, Red Cheeks Reads
A story of two single parents finding love again, Down Too Deep is a fantastic conclusion to the Dirty Deeds series! Nate lost his wife and has spent the last two years burying himself in work. He wants to be a better father to his young daughter, but he is so consumed by his grief over the loss of his wife that he struggles to move on, and his connection with his daughter suffers.
Jenna is a single mother of eight-year-old twins, and they are her number one priority. She is a loving and wonderful mother, and when she sees Nathan struggling, she offers to help him for the summer. Jenna is just what this struggling family needs, and she selflessly finds ways to bring Nate and Marley closer together.
I love Jenna! She is such a wonderful and dedicated mother, and her optimism and bubbly personality are infectious. Jenna has a job that allows her to work from home in the summer, which is perfect since she has to care for her kids while they aren’t in school. This also gives Jenna the freedom to help Nate take care of Marley. And Marley is so sweet and cute. She and Jenna’s twins are fantastic! They are great kids, and they add so much to the story.
Nate is an amazing character too. He deeply grieves the loss of his wife, and it has impacted every aspect of his life. At the start of the book, Nate has given up, and he seems very much defeated. I like how he slowly finds himself again and comes to realize what is most important to him. He reconnects with his daughter, who is just a bundle of sweetness. Nate and Marley share a strong bond, which is strengthened with the help of Jenna. I also love how Nate connects with Jenna’s kids. Nate is a good man, and Jenna and her kids definitely help him with his emotional struggles.
Jenna and Nate have a wonderful, slow-building romance, and their chemistry is fantastic! Both have a lot on their plates and are dealing with a ton, but their growing feelings for each other are undeniable. Still grieving his wife, Nate feels immense guilt about moving on, and Jenna is wary of loving again, so they definitely have a lot to work through. I love how they slowly grow to care for each other. Their flirtations are fabulous, their witty banter is so fun, and their sexy scenes are swoon-worthy! They complement each other well and fit well into each other’s lives.
A wonderful novel about love, grief, healing, family, and more, Down Too Deep is a heart-warming and emotional single-parent romance with great characters and a swoon-worthy romance. Nate and Jenna’s stories and the issues they deal with tug at your heartstrings, and I found myself welling up on more than one occasion while reading. Though this is the fourth book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone. However, if you’ve read the other books in the series, you’ll be happy to know that some of the couples make an appearance in this book too. Thanks so much to Forever Publishing for a copy of the book.
Down Too Deep is the fourth book in the Dirty Deeds Series. I was hooked on this series from the first book, each one is about one of the couples, but Nathan and Jenna’s I have to say was absolutely perfect. Second chance romance, single Dad, and single Mom.
Nathan Bell is a single dad when his wife took her own life and left him with their infant little girl. Jenna is Brian Savage sister (from Four Letter Word) and a mother of 8-year-old twins. We met both of them in previous books and watching them become a couple was both heartbreaking and beautiful, there was so much chemistry it explodes.
The author gifted us with an incredible epilogue!!
Down Too Deep is the first book by J. Daniels that I have read and I absolutely loved it. So sweet and adorable.
I don’t even know where to start!! I looooooved this book sooooo much. It had everything I want in a book! I would give it all the stars! This was my favorite in the whole series! It gave me all the feels!! I’m ready to go and reread already! If you love single parent romances this one is for you!!! It is one of my favorite tropes in the romance world and This one is one of my all time favorites!!!
I don’t know how to write this review. What I do know is I can’t stop thinking about this book. I love everything about Down Too Deep! Do you believe in fate? I know this is only a book, but it is very true to life. Jenna came into Nate’s life at just the right moment. He is a single dad struggling to do it all. She stepped up to help him with his daughter while he was at work. Brief interactions turned into a beautiful friendship! When this friendship started blossoming into more, I swear I audibly swooned. The way Nathan treated Jenna’s kids was all the things! This book makes my heart happy!
I will truly miss the White Caps family! The Dirty Deeds series is absolutely incredible! I recommend reading every single book in this series.
This was the book from this series that I have been waiting for. J Daniels outdid herself on this one <3
I love a single parent romance and this was a good one! Its one of my favourite tropes
Nate is learning to cope after his wife died and he isn't doing so well. He has left his parents to look after his adorable daughter Marley until they decide enough is enough and he needs to pull himself together. My heart honestly broke for him. He loves his little girl so much and is trying to do his best but has lost his way and is treading water.
I absolutely love Jenna, she has the most adorable twin and a heart of gold. So much so that when she can she steps up to help Nate. With her help he manages to reconnect with his daughter and its so beautiful to watch. The chemistry between Jenna and Nate is electric and I loved watching the slow build up between them.
This book brought me to tears a few times, the emotions were so raw and felt so real. This was one incredible read and if you haven't read any of the books in this series then do!
Read: 2/24/2020
Down Too Deep was the fourth and final book in J Daniels’ Dirty Deeds series.
Nathan (Nate) Bell was the owner of the restaurant Whitecaps, which had been a major staple in the previous books. He was a single dad / widower to a young daughter, Marley. Nate worked long hours and his parents had been keeping Marley until he found some additional help.
Jenna Savage was the sister to Brian (book one, Four Letter Word). She was a single mother to adorable twins, Oliver and Olivia. They were eating at the restaurant when Marley came wandering over, having escaped her play area in her father’s office. Thus the story began.
I enjoyed Down Too Deep. It was lighthearted, fun, humorous and entertaining. I also enjoyed all the characters. Nate and Jenna were front and center but Oliver, Olivia and Marley stole the show as well. I hate to see the series end but I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Gah! I have been waiting forever for this book and it was exactly what I needed when I read it! So full of loss and heart, it had all the elements I love in a great book; kids, single parents, and a great group of friends that you can’t get enough of. This is a must read!
